She hadn't meant to complain, but getting dragged to stupid fancy parties due to her father's line of work was often annoying. She had attempted to try and get out of it by telling her father she had plans with a boyfriend in hopes that she wouldn't have to come, but that seemed to backfire considering he suggested bringing him along .. that is if she had one.

There's a silence as he says that, causing her to stop mid rant and look over at him. She doesn't think he'd be really willing to go to something like this, even if he wanted to help. Pressing her lips into a thin line, she considers it honestly, plus considering what she knows about him and relationship, it'd probably be a safe bet to take him instead of finding some random guy to hook up with temporarily.

" I .. Hm. Are you sure. I mean. It's sort of a fancier party and my father sort of only invites me for reputation points that he ' talks to his daughter ' still kind of thing. My sister will most likely be there too. Are you sure you'd actually be okay with that? "

She hasn't forgotten what she's told him, nor the fact he offered to kill her sister for her. It's probably better to give him that heads up at the very least. Hopefully nothing too out of hand happens though if he does decide to go.

" I'd rather tell you than just accept your offer and you not know what you're getting into. At the very least you won't have to really do anything I'm sure so it'll be fine. Though I won't be surprised if Ratih, my sister, tries to talk to you or something. Probably make comments about how you can do better or whatever. "

Despite indirectly complimenting him basically, her expression is rather sad before she takes a deep breath and forces herself to go back to a more neutral expression. Just forget it for now, it's time to move on probably. Make friends or something. If you can even do that in Hell.

Keeping her focus on the creation, there's a hum of amazement that manages to escape her. Ears perk up slightly as she looks over it, only to soon chuckle at his word usage.

" It's just ' cool ', Sir Pentious, not ' a cool '. I should teach you modern slang if you're trying to learn it. Though imagining someone like you using more modern terms is kind of funny, taking one look at you, I can say you're from the Victorian era which means slang wasn't really a thing for you, nor would it be proper for you to use. This was just about his W-2! Shoulders slouched and frowned on his beak, the dark clad crime fighter's disappointment was obvious. That said, he DID still make his way there, nearly bumping into a young woman on the way. "Wow! Easy there, hehe. You ok?" He said as he avoided the collision but was quick to offer her assistance.

"Look... let me start over. I have this woman that I was reunited with in life, the details are... complicated but that isn't the point. Please explain to her about the scientific creation of the Egg Bois so she doesn't get the wrong idea?" Sir Pentious stated to the angler fish demon. Baxter was, for a long time, his best and only friend. Surely his attempts to lay out the finer details of their creation would put Nimue's thoughts of them as having some form of sexual relationship to rest as well as this idea that they were his children. Baxter was always better at explaining such things. Him? Not so much.

Pentious knew and understood these things but always seemed to fumble over explaining exactly how it worked. He had an easier time with mechanical engineering, but he still struggled there, too. Finally, he could put this all behind him and get his minions back from his soon-to-be wife, and things would go back to normal.

Usually in this city it's quieted down by now, but for some reason it's busy as can be, something Nimue's not too thrilled about. Trying to get home so she can at least feed her cats, she wishes she didn't leave the house today. Then again, she wanted to spoil her pets just a little bit so she went and got canned food. That aside, she's trying to get through the crowd, grumbling to herself, but that all comes to a halt as she hears sirens that are approaching where the crowd was. What exactly happened?

"You've got to be kidding me... I just want to get home. What the hell's happened this time?"

She's not even surprised, just tired, and go figure it's on the way to her home so everything's blocked off. It looks like she's stuck here until the crowd disperses from whatever it is they're trying to look at.

There's only a brief wave in response from Damien, it's not the matter of being disobedient really, but rather the fact that he's irritated she wanted to go out so much and now he had to come looking for her in the first place. Either way, he works his way back to his own manor to wait for Sir Pentious to return with Nimue.

Nimue however had remained in the living area of Pentious' manor, talking to the Egg Bois who had opted to circle around her. They were such strange little creatures, eggs, whatever they actually were. Amusing too at that, they were almost like children with how they seemed to behave. She found it quite cute really.

Upon hearing the doors open, her ears perk up slightly as she looks in that general direction. It's not until the Egg Bois quickly scramble over to Pentious to greet him that she stands herself and straightens herself out.

" Welcome back, Sir Pentious. Your little minions sure are talkative. " A pause. " Is everything okay? "

Okay, so he .. sort of believed her. At least she thinks he does? That's a really roundabout way of saying that you believe something she thinks .. Brows furrowing slightly, she tries to ignore any glances or whispers that might be directed at .. well .. her overall appearance. It probably didn't help that she absolutely stuck out like a sore thumb compared to everyone else here.

" Okay, uh, sure, I'll take that as you sort of believe me. It probably doesn't help but I uh .. actually don't know how to get back to my time. I might have been messing with something I wasn't supposed to and uh .. got stuck here because of it? "

There's a nervous laugh, god she absolutely wants to recoil in on herself and just cease to exist. Here she is talking to this poor man about something that sounds completely whack. The one time she tries her hand at attempting to make something, she actually makes it work and ends up in a different time.

Pulling out a small device from the pocket of her jacket, it honestly looks like it probably got fried in the process of bringing her here.

" Look, can you help me find someone who might be able to fix this so I can go back home? I swear with all the looks I'm getting just from my attire alone I might end up getting killed or something- "

Probably an overexaggeration but she doesn't know for sure. Memory on history isn't exactly at it's best right now when she's in the middle of panicking.

She's been a part of S.H.U.S.H. for awhile now, barely knowing much about Darkwing... well, Darkwarrior now, other that he had grown more intense over the years. She herself had avoided him, mostly not wanting to incur his wrath, after all, word spread quite fast about what he had done. Granted he was a great help to S.H.U.S.H. but he did sort of scare everyone around him.

However, despite it, he's still invited to Christmas parties, though most know he never stays for long since he goes back out to patrol the streets more often than not. He never seems social, or at least that's just from her perspective. However, what catches her off guard is at some point he was next to her. Had she done something? She hadn't spoken at all really so it couldn't have been what she said.

Glancing around, she takes note of the mistletoe above and freezes. She should probably tell him... give him a warning so it doesn't seem like she's moving away for no reason. She gives him a shaky but light tap on the arm, a little nervous about how he might react, only pointing up when she catches his attention.

"You uh... might want to move, Mr. Darkwarrior, sir." She's a little nervous, no doubt, because he is intimidating, but surely he'd be reasonable about this if she stayed as polite as possible. "I'm sure you don't need me to tell you what a mistletoe often means.."
