hellO ! my name is leah, my pronouns are she/her, and i’m 21. it feels rly nice to be back, and for everyone i haven’t met yet, i’m v excited to meet you and eventually interact with you allll ;v; under the cut is more about my son harley & some connections i’m lookin for!

you won’t believe who i just saw walking down main street! RYAN POTTER! what do you mean that’s just HARLEY KANE-ADAMS? who is HE? a 22-year-old MECHANIC…interesting. and the CISMALE is + WITTY & + DRIVEN, but i should watch out for when they are - ABRASIVE & - RECKLESS? will do.

some background info:

harley was born & raised in cape hazel and hasn’t once step foot out of town in his life. his adoptive mother maria ran a local auto repair shop and his other mother isabelle was a cartoonist for the local paper, so they were v heavily based in the town and never really had a reason to leave, so for a long time, harley didn’t feel any urge to leave either.

when he was fifteen, his parents’ marriage fell apart, and isabelle moved out of cape hazel to go back to her hometown, leaving harley with maria. according to maria, the divorce was a long time coming, but harley always thought they were doing okay and felt blindsided & betrayed by his other mother.

he was kind of a wunderkind – he’d skipped two grades, had a knack for both the arts and engineering, was fluent in english, italian, and french by his freshman year of high school, and genuinely loved going to school. once his parents split though, he started going downhill – lashing out, skipping class, starting fights – because he'd never really been taught how to work through emotions in healthy ways.

his parents were never really open about feelings in general; before the split, he knew his moms loved him and they knew he loved them too, but harley can only count on one hand how many times he actually heard an "i love you". he never really learned how to process, accept, or express sincere emotion.

he still graduated at 16 thanks to his previous good grades and just barely managed to get into the local university for engineering, but at 18, he had to drop out to help his mother run the shop and pay the bills.

he’s been working at the repair shop since. lowkey he’s getting sick of cape hazel and would love to save up enough money to get OUT of here, you feel? but he’s also dealing w some guilt issues about leaving his mother behind.

he's recently been trying to brush up on his studies !! he's hoping to be able to go back to school and get his degree once he saves up enough.

scars/tattoos/notable features: multiple scars and burn marks around wrists and forearms from getting hurt around the shop, whoops. no tattoos (yet). can often be seen wearing a leather bracelet his mother made for him and miscellaneous rings.

aesthetic: consecutive nights without sleep; ruddy fingers clutching steaming coffee mugs; stools splattered in paint; flannels tied around the waist; bracelets peeking out from the edge of long sleeves; leaves crunching under boots; oil-stained rags; laughing so hard your cheeks ache; waiting for the postman to come to the mailbox; chest jitters at 5am; punch-bruised knuckles; atlases, worn and dog-eared.

hobbies: tinkering, painting, doodling, travel, climbing trees.

habits: addicted to coffee; compulsively taps fingers/foot/nearby objects; flirting compulsively; running away from serious talks about feelings.
