I come to tell my wueas

PEOPLE!, have you noticed that the designs of the main characters In story mode they are symmetrical, for example Sara is the same on both sides and so is Brezziana, but Mihaly if we remove the logo you would not know if the image is a mirror or not.

AND WHAT'S ALL THIS?

WELL

I noticed that Wanderlust and Jack are the only ones with accessories which make their designs asymmetrical.

And it is also as if they were a mirror, for example Wander has his half cape on the left side and Jack has his feathers on the right side, and they both have a type of belt on the chest of their outfit, and also on their heads, Wander has the chains of his crown on the right side and Jack has his hairstyle on the left.

I feel that it is as if they were reflections, it could imply that they are similar, or even that they have opposite lives, Jack having grown up controlled by his mother, and probably never having met many people, much less having left Eternix.

And on the opposite side, Wanderlust, having grown up with both of his parents, has met several people thanks to his powers and his father's work, and surely knows all of the Danceverses.

THIS COULD BE VEEERY RESEARCHED?, YES

But I realized this out of nowhere while I was doing some little skits out of boredom at a party, and that gives me at least the understanding that it could be on purpose.

Think about it, the character and costume designs are always very meticulous and detailed, they are not done at random, they are made by many people and I also don't believe the characters who are standing up for the franchise were designed overnight, there must have been a lot of work behind them.

A deep dive into a swan lake and flipping the (metaphorical, sadly) bird:

A Mihaly-centric view of JD 2024 story mode

(because they’re my favorite and I’ve thought about this way too much over the past few days weeks) Spoilers for JD 24 in the almost-essay under the cut, including some images!

Starting off with Mihaly’s first appearance in the story mode in Canned Heat, it seems like not too much time has passed since the end of jd23- Sara seems to be at the same party, Jack still at the tower, etc. (how Brezziana got to the beach that fast and had a workout class is something I’m going to guess was preplanned before everything went down).

We can assume this would be the first time Mihaly’s come back to their room since then (which makes the idea of Wanderlust FaceTiming everyone like 5 minutes after they left even funnier). Of course there’s the shot of Mihaly ripping the poster off the wall, which probably puts their feelings into words better than anything else within an E10 rating. <Side note: I don’t know much on lore but does the setting mean there’s a chance they’re from Eternyx? Both maps started in dark crowd/nighttime so wasn’t sure if confirmed or not>

While Sara has the spot pretty much clinched for a Night Swan’s foil, Mihaly is a really close second. This shot literally puts it into perspective- Mihaly’s color scheme has as many color elements of Master Panda’s (shirt/jacket/foot wraps) as it does Night Swan’s (hair-that-perfectly-matches-the-poster/ gold of headphones and glasses/pants). Their dance style also overlaps moreso with hers than the other dancers, with the precision and technique of their moves, from the footwork and leaps of Rather Be to the dramatic powerful motions of their Swan Lake part. It’s pretty obvious who the song is directed to, and what makes the song so interesting compared to their last story mode one is how loose it feels. This is unlike their usual technical style because of the connection to Night Swan with the control demanded of certain moves that they’ve presumably mastered- maybe they were fueled by a desire to achieve her success. Regardless, the song and emotion fueled, less ‘perfect’ dance lets Mihaly basically flip the bird at Night Swan’s corrupted idea of perfection. Either way, it culminates in them achieving a new high in their training with channeling their ‘true’ inspiration of the (master) panda. Although they retain most of their same costume after sort of becoming a furry?, a noticeable change is that the black leggings are understandably switched to something looser- but to the navy color of master panda instead of Mihaly’s black.

What’s also interesting is that the specific point Night Swan interrupts Mihaly’s song isn’t at the beginning like Brezziana/Sara/Jack’s or the very end like Wanderlust, but at the climax of their journey for the song. Not only does this imply that she may have been watching the entire time but choose to interfere later, but she is also the only character to see the Panda form before Swan Lake.

As Night Swan basically invades Mihaly’s //mind/headspace/flowspace?/no idea on the lore// they initially try to fight her off, but unlike Brezziana in her map, don’t fight until the end. Although Mihaly themselves wasn’t being corrupted like the background coaches in Brezziana’s map, they still let themselves, in a sense, lose a more internal battle to Night Swan as they leave the metaphorical and literal height of their understanding and power in the Flow and come back to the real world.

This then takes us straight into Swan Lake, which is really interesting for the Night Swan/Mihaly interactions and how they compare to the other dancers. Although from a format standpoint it makes sense for the movements in the bridge to be different, there are more differences too.

A big one that I only realized once I watched Majesty again is how the other swan soldiers/minions were turned back- and that was mainly by doing the same moves to ultimately come together and bring the dancers back. Here it’s the opposite for effectiveness- what causes Wanderlust and Brezziana to fail is that they think that’s how to stop Sara. Sara matches the moves in a way that <well> matches, if not surpasses the power that they put in. As a result of meeting them head on and assuming control, Sarah actively corrupts the two of them. She makes motions to bring in the smoke, and both of them also are stationary/surrendering as their color drains.

When it gets to Mihaly, the dynamic with Sara changes completely. While Sara starts off watching with the same expression as when the others challenged her, it shifts as she realizes she can’t emulate what Mihaly does, with the movements almost like Night Swan’s-dramatic and slower. It comes to a head when Mihaly channels the panda again and visibly knocks Sara back, so she’s unable to push any of the smoke towards them.

Sara’s expression also becomes noticeably softer for the rest of Mihaly’s part, and she doesn’t reassert that dominance/control she had earlier- with dancing or the smoke. See how she looks almost pensive in the photos above/below, especially compared to the earlier parts.

Speaking of the smoke, this is the key part about Night Swan seeing the panda earlier. She knows it exists and how to force it off after the earlier song, and as Sara is incapacitated/distracted, she presumably sends down the smoke that starts attacking Mihaly in Panda form.

This attack is why despite having a chance to get through to Sara, Mihaly still ends up failing as they return to normal. However, they are the only character to be so dynamic in their active corruption. Not only does Mihaly manage to send a signal out to Jack, which was a display of power never seen from them previously, but they also do it as they are actively losing their color and control. Unlike the other dances, Mihaly still moves as they lose control, possibly having the strength to continue to fight had they not realized that Night Swan was attacking alongside Sara.

Although the signal is in the shape of a pawprint, its underlying meaning is more than just a plot device to send Jack on a wild goose chase (pun intended that I couldn’t pass up). With the way it opens to form a window into the location from such a distance, it almost seems to be a step away from a full fledged portal. With the sudden appearance of a new power, it’s also an interesting parallel to Night Swan, who here uses powers to create a unique form of control that wasn’t seen in the previous game and who regularly uses portals with her magic.

Another note is the lights that appear for each of the dancers in the upper left corner during the song as they take on Sara. While Brezziana and Wanderlust’s fade out a few moves before they fall, Mihaly’s still goes strong even as they completely turn grey, as seen the the photos above. This could be a possible indication to them having a more stable power than the other dancers, or a form of magic more comparable/competitive with Night Swan’s. Also to note about the lights: looking on the floor during the song, the diamonds flash 3 colors: hot pink (Night Swan), a deep green (Sara, especially while corrupted- her original outfit but darker), and a teal (the exact same color as Mihaly’s flow energy). Like everything else, this is a stretch, but it could possibly mean that Night Swan’s control and magic background could have stemmed from a pure form of flow like Mihaly practices.

This could also be a factor in why they retain the most of their original outfit in the corrupted design- possibly a form of resistance like they displayed during swan lake or general flow magic? Notice that while they have significant changes to their robe/face/accessories, their feather motifs are much less pronounced than the others, simply appearing as marks on the robe that can be mistaken for stripes, rather than overt feathers like Wanderlust/Sara or Sara/Brezziana’s feather tights. Unlike the others, Mihaly keeps their leggings exactly the same (which were notably lost in the panda form, as mentioned earlier), and interestingly enough, their wraps. I initially thought that Night Swan would have changed that to something like ballet slippers with ribbons, so I think it’s really interesting that they are the only dancer who had any details remain exactly the same, especially one that had unique opportunities to be changed.

Going off of that, since they were the last to turn and have (some?) control over their outfit and (some?) magic that may be similar to Night Swan, I could see them being the first/easiest coach for Jack or someone else to turn back when he (hopefully) takes on the coaches.

One last note is the number of maps per story mode coach at this point. Counting Stronger /Survivor, and Treasure/Lose Yourself (hopefully coming soon after that ending!), that seems to be setting a trend for the other coaches to potentially have an additional map as well. If so, maybe that would be one where Mihaly could individually be freed, or a chance for them to further explore their rapidly developing powers (maybe in a confrontation with Night Swan?? a girl can dream).

Which soda would each just dancer's go to be?

My opinion just based on vibes. Also pls note that I'm Dutch so I'll be basing it off of sodas I've had.

Night Dancers version

Jack Rose: the start of this whole thing. Royal Club Rose Lemonade. For obvious reasons and also because every time I see it it always has 0% sugar and I feel like Night Swan would be strict about his sugar intake, and he'd just bring that over into adulthood. It also just makes you feel very fancy when drinking it. It doesn’t really look like it does in this image, honestly, it’s way more see-through, like sparkly water with a noticeable pink tint.

Mihaly: Rivella. I can't explain why because it's such a distinct taste that can't really be compared to anything. It's sharp yet refreshing, a little bit floral or herbal but not overpoweringly so? You'd only notice it if you were really paying attention to it. Someone on Reddit describes it as 'somewhere between a ginger ale and bubble tea'. Alternatively: any flavour of Crystal Clear or Fuze Tea.

Sara: This is fully based on vibes but Cherry Cola. 'Basic' choice but with a little twist! Also I'm pretty sure her hair ribbons have cherries on them so like. I guess that could also be related to it?

Brezziana: A tie between Fanta Lemon and Orangina! Both just based on vibes, honestly, can't explain it very well. Orangina is sweeter, Fanta Lemon is more sour, I feel like she'd somewhat alternate them based on mood and weather.

Wanderlust: Wanderlust gets Sprite. Again as I said in the beginning, just vibes no specific reasons for most of these.

The Just Dancers at Disney World because I’m at Disney World

Wanderlust: He would LOVE Disney. Every time I go on a ride I think Wander would love it. He’s such a Disney adult, he’ll wear cheesy t-shirts and go all the time and he would just love it all. His favorite park would be Epcot and he would LOVE Soarin. That boy could go on Soarin 30 times in a row and still be just as amazed as he was the first time. Everyone loves going with him because he’s more excited than every little kid there. He also LOVES meeting the princesses, he insists he has to meet every single one. Does his little bow to them. They love him.

Sara: Also a Disney adult, but a slightly different breed. She disneybounds and collects ears and takes a billion pictures for her Instagram. Her and Wanderlust drop everything when they walk past a dance party. Also loves meeting the characters but she’s more a fan of the fur characters, she loves getting hugs from Mickey and Winnie the Pooh

Brezziana: she’s a thrill seeker, she prefers Universal but she can enjoy Disney. Has to hit all the coasters before they leave. Gets super competitive on Space Ranger Spin and Toy Story Mania and absolutely crushes everyone. Carries a ton of water bottles in her backpack because she knows the others will forget to drink water (looking at you, Wanderlust) and she needs to make sure everyone is hydrated. Is the last one to pass out at the end of the day.

Mihaly: Is perfectly content just walking around and looking at everything. They LOVE the theming and all the little details. They’re not enough of a fan to have all the fun facts memorized, but they love listening to Wanderlust ramble on and on about them. Genuinely thinks they’re so cool. Loves watching the fireworks, they’re all exhausted by the end of the day but Mihaly perks up just in time to fully appreciate them. They might shed a tear.

Jack Rose: Has a lovely time but doesn’t show it. He also loves meeting the princesses, he won’t admit it though. Mostly it’s the childlike joy but also he likes watching Wander interact with them. He also gets crushes on like half the princes (Wander says he has a type). He’s a big fan of the parades and the shows, but really he just likes everything. Night Swan would never let him go to Disney when he was little so he’s just so happy to be there. But of course if anyone asks him he’s just like “yeah it’s cool”, he doesn’t know how else to express himself

Just Dance 2024 Spoilers below

I noticed something in the story mode of 2024 concerning the timeline of the songs. I'm kind of hoping this is my brain focusing on small details that are just unimportant but I'm not sure.

A bit of explanation/Why am I worried about the timeline of this.

2023's story mode was clearly linear, right? Songs went in order, each one happening after the one before it. The transitions showed that very clearly. 2024 doesn't do that. In fact, it seems like You Should See me in a Crown is just finishing as Wanderlust reaches out to Brezziana and Mihaly at the end of their songs.

But that doesn't line up with Treasure. Not only is Night Swan actively interfering with Jack during the start of the song, but the scene behind Wanderlust (which should have been the same as what was shown to the other two just dancers) is the door in the background of You Should See me in a Crown, with parts of it lit up.

Not flashing.

At no point during the rest of the story mode is that door lit up but not flashing. It flashes during You Should See me in a Crown, it fades after the song is done, it's not lit up when the Dancers go to confront Night Swan.

On top of that, Night Swan and Sara are absent from the background, which I admit might have been a framing thing, or that they were behind Wanderlust. If that had been the only thing to catch my attention I would have ignored it. But it's not.

I really want to think I'm just overthinking this, but I can't think of a production-related reason the scene behind Wanderlust would be different during Treasure vs the other songs.

Which makes me think Wander didn't reach out to Jack at the same time as the other two.

So when the heck does Treasure take place?

Obviously before Swan Lake, which does seem to happen right after Wanderlust gets Brezziana and Mihaly, so before all that? But Canned Heat had Jack dancing with Wanderlust probably in real time because of what Night Swan does during the ending.

It doesn't make much sense for Night Swan to wait between getting Discoball and going to get Sara and give Wanderlust time to get the Just Dancers together. But looking at everything else it seems like the only timing that would make sense for Night Swan to have done this to be between Canned Heat and You Should See me in a Crown.

The background could be explained if Wanderlust had a stationary view of what was happening to Sara and Night Swan, and that can be explained by the fact that it wasn't Wanderlust's portal exactly that was showing him it at all. It had been taken over by Night Swan, hence the purple border and tint. Why would she show Wanderlust that scene? So he knew she had Sara, and so he'd come to save her. It was a trap.

But why do both of them go to Jack first?

Night Swan probably knew that Jack would be involved with the Just Dancers, so she wanted him out of the way. It is in a different manner than how she tries to deal with Brezziana and Mihaly. It’s either her trapping him with his reflection (like the narcissus myth, other people have made posts about the connection. Have some links: 1 2 3) or her trying to get him to come back to her by showing him what he could have if he was on her side.

As for Wanderlust, the only ideas coming to mind is trying to check if Jack is working with his mother again, or if he knew anything about her reappearance. Since before seeing Sara and Night Swan, Wanderlust wouldn’t have proof that Night Swan was corrupting his friends.

I have questions, I have some answers, and I am almost definitely overthinking something here. I have a history of doing so, so I would not be surprised. I also have a history of overthinking because I miss some huge obvious thing and only focus on the small things, so if I’ve done that again please tell me.

Ok. So I have seen a lot of theories about a possible Just Dance movie and who could play who. Now, first off after JD2018 there was going to be AN ACTUAL JUST DANCE MOVIE, but it was put into hiatus once they couldn't find a writer, so if they were to bring this project back, here's my fan casting. Also keep in mind I'm assuming the film is animated. Also assuming it just focuses on the main story mode lore.

So first of course, Wanderlust.

I think Pharrell would be a great Wanderlust. He has a very expressionate and passionate voice, and he already has experience voice acting. Plus, I think it would be a really cool circle back to the fact that one of Jessy's first maps was a Pharrell map. Also it'll make more sense when I say who I would fan cast as Sara.

Next, Sara.

Other then the fact that I would let this woman hit me with a truck, Tori Kelly is a very talented voice actress. She has the shy and hates the spotlight but has so much more to her voice down. And her pre established chemistry with Pharrell? OH MY GOD THEY WOULD KILL IT. I'm literally watching Sing 2 while writing this lol but I would DIE to see these two in these roles.

Next let's do Mihaly.

A. Ivory Aquino is an amazing actress B. Also an amazing trans activist. In my head they were the easiest to cast as Mihaly because that's just who I see playing them.

Brezziana next!

You probably know her as the voice of Amethyst from Steven Universe, but I soooo agree with @anja-the-sane-sibling about this one, she would make an amazing Brezziana.

Ok this one... i'm not set on. Anja said the voice of Ash, from Fantastic Mr. Fox, and while I agree 100% the actual actor is... really old. This is another actor (Josha Stradowski) who I think could could ace it, but you guys have any other suggestions that would be great:)

(also he looks like younger mikeal to me:P)

For Nightswan... I have two in mind.

My first choice:

Do I really have to explain??? But there's a reason why I think she may not work which you see later.

So option 2:

This woman. Is majestic. She's got a great voice for Nightswan, either with her English accent or her American accent, both would make for a spellbinding Nightswan (also she has worked with Josha and their interactions together would be AMAZING) also for those who don't know this is Rosamund Pike

Don't get drunk when you're in love - A JD fanfiction

Series: Just Dance 2023 Edition

Characters: Brezziana (Physical) and Mihaly (Rather Be)

Rating: T

Type: Alcohol, Drunken Confessions, Fluff

The Danceverse 5 have a well deserved celebration after the battle, Mihaly was just siting down, but Brezziana sat down beside them and confesses something interesting to them

"ATTENTION ALL DANCERS!!! THIS IS A CELEBRATION!!!" Wanderlust said in his diety-esq voice to kick off the party!

Everybody was having fun. Liv and Blake drank themselves silly and was dancing till they drop

Jack Rose was singing his heart and soul out

Sara is having fun, dancing and singing like nobody watching, which she makes sure nobody was

Everybody else was either dancing, drinking, or both

At least, that's what Mihaly studied around the Party. As a shaman, Mihaly doesn't allow themselves to drink, which make them the Perfect designated driver. So, whenever the Danceverse 5 holds a party like this, they just sit down at a table.

"HEEEEEEYYYYYYY!!!!!" A familiar, albeit, slurred voice rang to their ears. They turned around and saw Brezziana coming towards them and sat down beside them

"I don't know if you could tell, Sara. But, I'm kinda tipsy right now." Brezziana said to Mihaly, thinking their Sara.

Heh, Tipsy is an understatement. One more drink and you might pass out. Mihaly thought

"This party's amazing! They have drinks, hic everyone's having fun, And, it's a great time! Which is good for everyone, since the battle hic with Night Swan might've have taken a toll on people" Mihaly was surprised that even in her drunken state, she could still retain the fact thatt she could go on and on whenever she gets excited about things

"Sorry, sorry. I forgot you're not Mihaly, they always let me go on about the silly stuff I like. That's why I've always loved them"

That last sentence made Mihaly freeze. They always loved Brezziana, but, they've never thought that she returned those feelings.

"Welp, since I've already said it. Yeah, I love Mihaly. They're so nice and pretty. And, they've always helped me. And, I know they like me back, but I think they're shy about it. And, I don't wanna scare them about it, so promise me you wouldn't tell them."

Mihaly hesitated, not knowing what to say or do. Should they tell her that she was talking to them, or should they promise her that they wouldn't tell anybody. This decision was harrowing. But, ultimately, they decided

"Yes. I promise"

"Good hic thanks" Brezziana slurred

Brezziana left to dance and drink some more. Leaving Mihaly to basically walk on air to the news that they have gotten.

Sara vs. Night Swan (POV, angst fic)

Sara felt a knot well up in her stomach as she backed up to her friends comforting her, realizing the extent of how powerful Night Swan was. Breathing heavily, Night Swan won't back down until she wins that match, gazing straight ahead with hate and anger in her eyes. "You won't break me," Night Swan growled, bobbing and weaving in an attempt to land a hit on Sara. "I'll show you who's boss!" At that moment, Sara felt a sharp, quick scratching sensation on her cheeks, only for her to reach up to touch the wound and can see blood oozing down her fingers, leaving her physically shaking. You would've thought it was something the human girl could control, but she couldn't. Shouting, Sara charged straight toward Night Swan, bashing her hard in the head with her fist. The power-hungry witch barely stood steadily as her dark magic drained, sinking to her knees before her body hit the ground. Sara felt an immense joy building up inside her as her friends, Wanderlust, Mihaly, Brezziana, Jack Rose, and Discoball, stood beside her and felt that unmatched excitement. However, it all came to a halt when Jack exclaimed in shock and ran over to an unconscious Night Swan. The rest of the team caught up to him, looking worried as he tried to wake up his sleeping mother. Sara, who felt a sense of justice over looking after one of her friends, told the rest of the gang to check on all of the coaches who were formerly Night Swan's minions. Sara crouched down to Jack's level to see a scared look on his face as he tried every one of his instincts to wake up his mother, even resorting to lightly shaking her by the shoulders while her head rested on his lap. With a tone of urgency, Sara talked it out to Jack for a few moments and proceeded to rush into her bedroom. As Sara stood next to Jack, laying his mother down on her bed and making her comfortable as possible, she couldn't help but feel sorry for him because Jack's mother was the one who always wanted him to be perfect. "Are you gonna be okay in here?" she asked Jack out of concern. Jack nodded slightly and said, "It's okay, relax. All of this happens way too fast." Jack gave himself a moment to collect his thoughts while watching over his mother as Sara walked out of the room and looked out the door. While she watched, she felt a wave of guilt wash over her. She knew that she beat Night Swan intentionally, and even though it may have been self-defense or an act of justice, she still couldn't help but feel like she did something wrong. Sara could barely stop herself from crying, looking at Night Swan out the door then her hands, feeling the guilt of being the person who knocked her out. "I shouldn't have hit her. I didn't mean to knock her out, it was just a reflex," she thought to herself as she desperately tried to make sure her actions were justified. As Wanderlust, Brezziana, Mihaly, and Discoball ran back to Sara, she felt a sense of relief wash over her. Thus, she and her friends returned inside the room. But, after seeing Night Swan apologize to Jack and vowing to become a better mother, they were hesitant at first, but delighted she had finally learned her lesson. When Night Swan closed her eyes again, Sara apologized to Jack one more time, for the regret of having his mother unconscious at the end of the fight. Jack accepted, and allowed her opponent to rest for a little while longer.

POV: Night Swan

The adrenaline fades away upon the battle's end as the last thing Night Swan sees before her body hits the ground is an overjoyed Sara and her friends switching to instant concern. As Night Swan was just about to drift away, she could barely see the sight of his son, Jack Rose, rushing over to her in a panic. She was yet to hear his voice as she slipped into an unconsciousness that wouldn't let her wake up. Night Swan could feel that the ground under her was smooth, cold, and hard on her belly and the left side of her face. Her ears picked up soft, distant voices, but she wasn't sure what they were saying, as if they were coming from outside a cave. Finally, Night Swan regained a familiar sense of touch from her son, who tried to shake his injured mother awake by her shoulders. All she could remember of the fight was seeing that blue-haired girl give her a blow to the head. Taking a chance, Night Swan wearily cracked her eyes open before snapping them shut again, only to see a different world and a familiar silhouette staring at her before settling herself back into a deep sleep. She let out an undignified groan and slowly opened her eyes again, wincing in pain as her vision came back to her. The only thing the sorceress could make out was her dimly-lit bedroom and her son kneeling by her bedside. It wasn't often that Night Swan saw herself as a weaker individual, and this was no exception. Her head hurted all over after her opponent's attack, and she could hardly move it, causing her to roll over on her sides toward Jack. After staring at him to give herself a few moments to comprehend who he was, Night Swan spouted in a meek voice. "I'm sorry, Jack..." she weakly apologizes to her son for not being a supportive mother over her son's dreams of being a celebrity, but using him as a red-hand man to help her create an army of what she imagined. "I didn't mean it to come off so bad," Jack softly replied to his mother as he leaned over and placed his head on her pillow. "It's okay, darling," Night Swan tells her son as she strokes the back of his neck while yawning affectionately. Jack sighs heavily before placing his hand around his mother's arm and holding her close. As silence falls, Night Swan speaks. "I'm sorry I wasn't more supportive, Jack...of your dreams." She gives him an apologetic smile before continuing. "But I promise I'll be here for you now," she finishes gently, reaching out to touch his cheek lightly with her claws. In what seemed like only minutes, Sara returned into the room, accompanied by the others, their faces filled with concern as they assessed Night Swan's condition. Fighting back tears at seeing how much her son cared for her, Night Swan weakly apologized to Jack before telling him she'll be there for him now, pledging support for everything he does in life from then on out. As fatigue kicks in once more, Night Swan lets herself fall into another peaceful sleep knowing that things would finally be alright.

Why Mihaly’s [spoiler] form is different, and what it could mean

Sorry for the clickbait-esque title, but I’m not sure on the state of the Jd 2024 storymode spoilers with the fandom, so spoilers for the storymode ahead (including images)!

It’s also a bit long because I’m back on my bs of overanalyzing Mihaly

I’ve already made a post about Mihaly in the 2024 story mode with elements of their journey and uniqueness of their interactions with Night Swan- which grants them a lot of depth, in terms of their dances and character. With Night Swan’s corruption at the end of 2024 altering the costumes of Wanderlust, Brezziana, and Sara as well, the refs posted via the YouTube short allow for several details to become clear. (Shoutout to the costume department- they’re gorgeous!!) As pointed out in another post by @phoenixriaartemis , Mihaly’s headphones become the belt in their Dark form, and without the earbuds, Mihaly would be unable to connect with their headspace. I initially thought this was the case as well, since Mihaly’s maps both begin by placing them in their ears to enter their space of contemplation, practice, and growth. (More on that in a moment.)

As I noticed when I did the other post, Mihaly is the only one of the corrupted dancers to maintain elements of their original outfit. I initially thought it was only the leggings and wraps, but after comparing the concept art, those parts have changed too- the pants are shorter with rips cutting up, and the wraps come up further. While part of it could be chalked up to a different dancer portraying Mihaly in their dark form and requiring an alternative costume even for similar pieces, I think those elements are more deliberate. Looking at the headphones, pants, and wraps, they can be viewed as something Mihaly retains, but is twisted by a vision of perfection- just to a lesser extent than the others, who don’t retain any aspects like that.

It wasn’t until a Rather Be rewatch that I noticed something that I completely overlooked: the details of Master Panda’s design.

Although Mihaly’s design mimics his closely, there are some notable elements where they are different. There are two small ones of note: the piercings on his left ear, and the headphones. When Mihaly assumes the panda form in Never Be Like You, they gain almost all elements of his costume, barring some colors. Their hair color is retained in his hairstyle, and while their pants lighten to dark blue, they become looser to match his. However, there are two elements unique to the panda that they do not gain: the headphone belt and the two piercings. (Sorry for the image quality below.)

Instead, in its place are two over the ear headphones, which seemingly combine those elements into one- the headphone component and the piercings/ear adornments. As a result, the headphone belt and piercings are absent, even in the form where Mihaly seemingly achieves mastery of a milestone in their training. While this could be chalked up to Mihaly’s individual understanding of the Flow, its commonality seems more significant.

Let’s consider the Panda’s costume to represent mastery of the Flow. Since the headphones are used as a belt rather than their practical purpose, this indicates that instead of needing the headphones and the music they provide to connect with the Flow and be transported to that higher plane, it can be done by mastering the Flow within oneself. After all, the Master Panda appears in both maps independent of Mihaly’s music, and appears/disappears on his own time. Even when Mihaly gains the Panda form, they still keep the over ear headphones, binding them to the music, even in their supposed ascension.

Going off of that, let’s look Mihaly’s Dark Form again. (Sorry for the same photo again!)

It’s easier to see in the art than the photo, but since the headphones have become a belt, Mihaly has also gained the earrings in their left ear. Between this and the dark feather elements being the least prominent out of all the corrupted dancers, including Jack in Treasure, Night Swan’s vision of perfection is not very present.

Instead, Mihaly’s Dark form is ‘tainted’ by Night Swan’s influence with the creeping feathers on their robe and the alternations to their leggings and wraps, but the overall costume is Mihaly’s own idea of perfect: a master of the Flow. With the headphones as the belt, this represents their goal of connection beyond the confines of music, and piercings of the Panda could possibly symbolize mastery of the spiritual and physical realms they inhabit in their maps.

By gaining both of these elements that they have yet to achieve and lacking as much of Night Swan’s influence, it seems to imply that Mihaly has retained a degree of control over their identity that the others lack. In the other post, I speculated this could be because of how they were initially corrupted. Rather than passively falling to the smoke Sara brings in, the smoke comes from offscreen (presumably from Night Swan herself), and they send out the message to Jack while actively losing their color. They also have a degree of control and agency throughout their part of Swan Lake that Wanderlust and Brezziana lack, since Sara does not actively defeat Mihaly or control any smoke during their part. Night Swan also may not have subdued them as much, with the short interval between losing their color and the Dark forms appearing, causing the perfection imposed on Mihaly to have more elements of their own than Night Swan intended.

Going off of that, as I said in the last post, Mihaly could be the easiest coach to return to normal, as they have presumably retained the most of their former self. While they could be reached through the usual method of dance fights/battles, they may also be brought back by the true, pure Flow they aspire to practice. If they are returned to normal before the other coaches, maybe they could achieve the true mastery they’ve sought after by freeing them.

Whatever the story mode holds for Mihaly and the other coaches, I have a feeling the true mastery of the Flow they’ve sought after is somewhere in cards for their future appearances, both literal and physical.

Dark Tower Part 1: Fight for a plan - A JD Fanfiction

Series: Just Dance 2023 Edition

Characters: Sara and Wanderlust (Can't Stop The Feeling), Brezziana (Physical), Mihaly (Rather Be), Jack Rose (Locked Out of Heaven), Dolores (drivers license), Hadley (As It Was)

Description: Night Swan is pushing forward with her plan of world enslavement, but the Danceverse crew has a way to fight against this, but would it be enough to stop this?

Here we see the Night Swan tower, where we see Night Swan sitting in her throne.

"My queen." One of her henchmen started to speak to her. "Are you going to enslave the world?" They asked

"Yes. And, no one would be able to stop it" She replied

"What about the Danceverse crew?" The other henchmen asked as she just stood there in a stunned silence

"KeheheheheheheKYAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" She laughed "You talking about that Bumbling son of a Idiot Traveler? That mere Human? That Fitness "Influencer"? That ditzy Shaman? My Backstabbing son? And, those other two? You can't be serious? I would've killed you if you didn't give me my first laugh of the day!" She said

"No one would stop my plan. And I'll make sure of it."

"HENCHMEN!! MINIONS!!" She boomed "SEARCH HIGH AND LOW!!! NEAR AND FAR!!! HEAVEN AND HELL!!! AND GET RID OF THE DANCEVERSE CREW!!!!!" And with that command, every henchmen and minion ran out the tower to find the Danceverse Crew.

Meanwhile at the New Dawn City

"Wow! This Cafe is amazing!" Mihaly said "They've got Coffee and Sweets of all......Kind......" They trailed off as they looked outside "Mihaly, What are you looking at-" Wanderlust stopped as he looked outside. Everyone yelled and ran out the Cafe as the Danceverse Crew just looked outside as the Swarm of Night Swan minions and henchmen was outside scouring for them.

"We've got to go back!" Sara yelled

"But, what about the swarm?" Jack asked

"We'll fight them off, but right now, we gotta leave!" Wanderlust said as they ran out the Cafe, fighting their way to their ship and flew off.

"Dude, what the hell was that?" Hadley asked

"Those are my mother's minions." Jack replied "She's must be starting her plan of world enslavement."

"Well, we can't just be sitting ducks, we gotta have a plan!" Dolores exclaimed

"Yes, but we have to figure out how to get through her tower to stop her." Wanderlust said as they flew back home.

"W-what are we gonna do?" Brezziana asked Wanderlust

"What can we do?" Sara asked

All Wanderlust did was just stare at the wall with determination as he thought of a new plan.

"I know what we can do." Wanderlust started to say "We're gonna stop Night Swan's takeover!" He exclaimed with the look of determination that brightened up the crew

Dark Tower Part 5: Hope - A JD Fanfiction

Series: Just Dance 2023 Edition

Characters: Sara and Wanderlust (Can't Stop The Feeling), Brezziana (Physical), Mihaly (Rather Be), Jack Rose (Locked Out of Heaven), Dolores (drivers license), Hadley (As It Was), Night Swan (Witch)

Type: Action, Hurt/Comfort, Swearing, Blood

Description: With the help of Jack Rose, Brezziana fights a now-corrupted Mihaly with the hope of having them back and stopping Night Swan's plan

Brezziana charged at the new henchman and tried to strike it, but it blocked it just in time. It then hits her in her chest, having her cough up blood from the attack. Then the henchman punched her in the face, launching her back a couple feet. Then, it tried to slam her down on the ground with its feet, but Brezziana moved out the way just in time and then got back up. Jack then tried to turn Mihaly back, but, it stopped him, and kicked him back.

"This isn't Mihaly." She said "The Mihaly we know wouldn't dare to hurt their friends, they'll fight for their friends."

"So bring me back the Mihaly we know!"

Brezziana and the henchman both punched their fist at the same time

"You fucking faker!"

Brezziana's knuckles started to bleed after that. But, that won't stop her. She punched the henchman more, while it blocked more of her punches.

Jack then got up and waited for the perfect opportunity to turn Mihaly back

The henchman then punched Brezziana down, and was about to deliver the finishing blow, but then, Jack put his hand on the henchman, slowly but surely, the henchman turned back. Brezziana smiled and hugged Mihaly who opened their eyes.

"I'm......." Brezziana started to choke up "I'm glad you're back, Mi."

Mihaly didn't say anything, they just hugged her back

After a minute, Wanderlust helped them both up, and looked at Night Swan, who just smiled and said "Do you really think you can stop my plan? I won't give you the satisfaction!"

"HENCHMEN! MINIONS!" She boomed "HALT THE PLAN ON TOTAL ENSLAVEMENT!!"

They've all just looked at her as her henchmen and minions went back to their quarters, afterwards, Night Swan went to her place of origin.

"D-did she just stop her own plan just so we wouldn't get to?" Sara asked

"Apparently" Wanderlust replied

"She's always like that." Jack said

"Let's go home" Wanderlust said as they all walked back home, but, Brezziana stopped as she saw Mihaly standing there.

"Mi, you okay?" Brezziana asked

"No" Mihaly replied "I-I can't believe I've done that." They start to choke up "I......I can't believe that I've hurt you. I'm sorry......." They've cried. But, Brezziana hugged them

"It's okay" She said "You were not in control of that, it's not your fault." She then smiled as they smiled back

"Come on, guys. Let's go back." Wanderlust said as they were walking. They then looked up to the sky and saw the sun rise. As a familiar feeling fills all the members up. Hope. The hope of seeing their world rid of the darkness. The hope of having all their friends by their side. The hope of having days like this.

Dark Tower Part 4: Corruption - A JD Fanfiction

Description: The Danceverse Crew has infiltrated Night Swan's tower, and are fighting their way through the swarm, and has reached to Night Swan. But, she's gonna make sure it won't be easy to fight her

The Danceverse Crew are running through the halls, fighting and every enemy. Sara kicking some, Wanderlust using his deity power, Brezziana punching and kicking some, Mihaly using their zen powers, Jack using his microphone, and Dolores and Hadley fighting some. Night Swan watching all of this through her monitor.

"My Majesty." One of her henchmen started to speak "Aren't you worried?" He asked

"About what?" She asked back

"About the Danceverse crew walking through and killing you?"

"Oh, my loyal henchmen. Keep this comedy act up, and I might promote you. I'm not worried about them. My plan will go strong, and I'll make sure of that!"

"Okay, I think that's the last of them!" Wanderlust said, just then another giant henchmen landed in the middle, and roared

"I got this one!" Brezziana said as she punched the giant in the stomach, and then give it a brutal headbutt.

"Alright, let's go!" Brezziana said with a bloody head

They all ran to her throne room and saw her sitting on it

"Oh, it's the relentless Danceverse crew. Seriously, don't you guys know when to throw in the towel? Why must you be so hellbent on stopping my plans?" Night Swan said

"Well we're here. So why aren't you getting up and fighting us?" Wanderlust asked

Night Swan gave off another devilish smile "Cause it would be fun for me...."

And in a flash, Night Swan took Mihaly, and placed them in front of them

"Don't kill them!" Brezziana yelled out

"Oh, I won't kill them...." Night Swan then put her hand on Mihaly's back and then they felt a sharp pain in their body.

"But, you guys will have to...."

Mihaly then realized what's happening. They started oozing dark blood out of their mouth, and the crew saw dark matter creeping up their body

No No No No No No No No.....This can't happen Mihaly thought but the pain is unbearable, and they yelled in pain. The pain of this happening to them, and the pain of knowing that they're going to hurt their friends

I'm sorry guys

I'm sorry that I let this happen to me

I'm sorry that I have to hurt you guys

I don't want to hurt you guys

But, that choice is out of my reach

Then, Mihaly stopped screaming. And their eyes turned black. And, the Dark Matter fully spread to their body. Now, they're another henchmen to Night Swan.

Brezziana shed tears over this. Her friend is now a mindless henchman. She than got up.

"I'll bring them back." She said

"I'LL BRING THEM BACK!! NO MATTER HOW MANY HITS IT WOULD TAKE!!! I'LL BRING MY FRIEND BACK!!!!" She than ran towards the new henchman

"I'LL BRING THEM BACK!!! MIHALY!!!"

Dark Tower Part 2: Those Who Fight For Unclear Circumstances - A JD Fanfiction

Description: Wanderlust makes a plan to stop Night Swan's desire of World Enslavement. But, two members on the team question if it's gonna be enough to truly stop her?

"So, what the plan, boss?" Hadley asked Wanderlust

"I'm not sure how we'll get in, but we go into Night Swan's tower, Fight off some of her enemies, fight Night Swan, and stop her and her plan." Wanderlust said "Everyone, I suggest to get some rest, cause we enact this plan tonight!" He said as everyone went to their rooms to go asleep, Wanderlust went to his room to go to sleep, but Sara and Jack were standing in front of him.

"Oh, hey guys. What brings you here?" He asked

"Well, we just wanna ask a question" Sara replied

"Okay, what is it?"

"This plan." Jack started to speak "Would it be enough to stop my mother?" He asked

"I know, I've had firsthand experience on how powerful Night Swan is."

Flashback

Bruno The Traveler came home and saw his son, a then-6 year old Wanderlust with who he thought was Shia'Nova, but he quickly realized that something was off.

"Wander, something's different with her." Bruno said to Wanderlust

"What? I don't see something wrong with mommy"

"Yes, Traveler. Stop being paranoid." "Shia'Nova" said to Bruno, with that setting him off.

Wait. The only person who calls me Traveler is... Bruno thought as he saw while Wanderlust was hugging her leg, her eyes turned black and she was pulling a sword out of her hand.

"WANDER! GET AWAY FROM HER!!" He yelled as he pushed him away from Night Swan as she tried to cut him. He got him away from Night Swan just in time. But, he got damage of his own. Wanderlust looked at Bruno as he smiled, to try and distract Wanderlust as what happened

She managed to cut his Traveling arm off

Blood was spraying on the floor as he just smiled softly.

"D-dad...." Wanderlust called out to him.

"It's okay, son...." was all Bruno said before he passed out

"That's what happened to people who tried to be detectives!" Night Swan said as she changed back. "And, this is what happened to their children!" Night Swan said as she was about to stab Wanderlust. But then, Shia'Nova came through and teleported her back.

1 hour later

Shia'Nova got him bandage up and laying down. "Is he okay?" Wanderlust asked "Yes, He's fine, my Wander." Shia'Nova replied "He's just unconscious at the moment, he'll get better, I promise."

Present day

"I know how dangerous Night Swan is, but when I got my team. I know we can do it." Wanderlust said, with Jack and Sara smiling. "Alright guys, let's get some sleep."

6 hours later

Wanderlust woke up and went outside and saw the entire team outside before him. "Hey, sleepy head!" Brezziana said "We were waiting for you." Mihaly said.

"I know, I know." Wanderlust said

"So, where we going?" Dolores asked

Wanderlust smiled, and pointing to Night Swan's tower and replied

"We're entering that tower!!"
