I’ve neglected getting around to drawing the rest of the Hysteria members, so I’ve been hesitant to talk about them. But you know what, fuck it, I wanna introduce them! And also the final girl for the Hysteria AU. So here, have a few notes. I’ll draw them eventually c:

 Erin Sagoes:

“Number 2”, lead guitar and backing vocals

Nonbinary (they/she), 29, 5’5”

Demisexual biromantic

Social butterfly, chatterbox, very friendly and easy to talk to, sharp sense of humor, observant, very stubborn and goal-oriented

Probably Roxy’s closest friend and confident. Outside of music, also loves to paint

Jessie Lubbock:

“Number 3”, rhythm guitar

Cis woman (she/her), 26, 5’2”

Lesbian

Fiery, hot-headed, rowdy, feels every emotion very deeply

Has a friendly rivalry going on with Erin. Big rugby fan

Scarlett Grady:

“Number 4”, bass

Cis woman (she/her), 33, 6’5”

Aroace

Quiet, stoic, extremely serious, loyal, only speaks when she has something pointed to say

Very intimidating because she’s quiet and hard to read and tall and built like a brick wall. Has a scar across her mouth from an old fight.

Dev Bhatia:

“Number 5”, drums

Transman (he/him), 28, 5’9”

Gay

Reserved (but do not mistake this for shyness or timidness), listens more than talks, quick and sharp, self-assured

Old acquaintances with Roxy, but practically linked at the hip with Jessie. “Siblings from different parents” sorta vibe.

Moth Wilson:

“Number 6”, samples and keyboard

Nonbinary (any pronouns), 30, 5’11 but often wears heels that make them taller

Bisexual

Extremely self-confident, flirty, a bit crass, unapologetic, very much a player

LOVES moths, knows everything about them and will talk your ear off if asked. Obsessed since childhood, where he gained the nickname. Has a big tattoo of a moth across her chest.

Ami Love:

Final girl of the Hysteria AU, younger sister of Roxy, unaware of Hysteria’s secret killing

Cis woman (she/her), 26, 5’7”

Questioning

Shy, a bit socially awkward, earnest, wants to be social but struggles with trust issues, easily flustered

Huge supporter of Roxy and Erin when they were just starting the band, was their first fan. Has a crush on Moth.

Soooo most of my followers know about my OC Roxy (or maybe not idk). She’s a character I originally created for the purpose of my ANOES fic Waking Nightmares. But I’ve become very attached to her, and I want to be able to play around with her outside of that fic as well.

So. Introducing the Hysteria AU! It’s meant to be completely separate from Waking Nightmares, no attachment to ANOES at all. Just a fun lil concept for me to have a chill, fun time with.

I’ve mentioned before that Roxy enjoys music and has some musical talent. Well, what if instead of becoming a nurse and a wannabe-author, Roxy pursued a career in music? What if she started a band? What if there was murder involved?

Also tbh I also did this for the sake of OC shenanigans with friends. But shhhhhhh

To make a long story short, the gist of this AU is that Roxy dropped out of college before completing her degree to become a nurse. She realized she wasn’t happy and that the pressure from her mother (and society as a whole honestly) was too much to handle at the tender age of 20. So she dropped out and got a job at the local café. After working there for a few years, she ran into an old classmate of hers, Erin Sagoes, who she was in an amateur high school rock band with. They rekindled their friendship, and with it the idea of a band.

After work hours, they’d get together to hang out, brainstorm, and hone their skills. Erin did guitar, Roxy did drums, and both did vocals. Though drumming and singing at the same time proved to be… difficult. They ended up recruiting four more members over time – Jessie Lubbock on rhythm guitar, Scarlett Grady on bass, Dev Bhatia on drums, and “Moth” Wilson on keyboard and samples. Erin did lead guitar and backing vocals, while Roxy took over leading vocals. Eventually, they released their lovingly cobbled-together first album Lusciously Grotesque as the heavy metal band Hysteria.

Their career only went up from there, and they gained themselves quite the solid little fanbase. How could they not? They’re music is pretty damn good, and they’re very sweet to their fans. What’s not to love?

Well. Perhaps the fact that Hysteria also moonlights as a group of masked killers.

But it’s not like anyone knows that.

Not yet, at least.
