I’ve been thinking recently about Vincent’s background regarding my fanfiction Highway Tune, and since I’m all about creating alternate universes for him and @bnbc’s idea for Background swap AU I decided to give it a shot! I guess it’s Mafia AU? 

On the left is my regular and main Vincent Giovanna, my pride and joy, beloved desert boy. He came to NUSA from Sicily, where he was born, with his mother when he was just a baby. The reason for it was that Vincenzo’s father, Bruno Moretti, was killed in the conflict between The Mafia and other ruling fractions of Italy. His mother, Loretta Giovanna, runaway for their safety. They were illegal immigrants, but the fate showed them mercy as they were welcomed by the Bakkers, where V become nomad before he could even talk. 

Being raised with strong family values (despite being half-orphan), in a caring environment but a dangerous one, leaded him to be the way he is - soft and loyal to his loved ones, but won’t bat an eye if violence is necessary. 

He respects his mother greatly for what she did, to the point that Loretta became his personal hero. Vincent feels like he owes the payback to fate because the Bakkers saved them when they could just refuse. He never said “No.” to someone that asked him for help, even when it was the daughter of the devil himself - Hanako Arasaka. 

And on the right is Vincenzo Moretti. His family is alive and highly respected in ranks of Sicilian Mafia. Following his father’s steps, he became the member of it. Life full of brutality and corruption made him insensitive to other’s pain. Selfless act of “help” doesn’t exist in his dictionary. Respect itself is for people that show more power than he has. Feelings have no place in his head, if he was about to waste his time - it’s for human pleasure as he lives a playboy fantasy. 

He would never be worthy enough of Hanako’s attention more than she had to to use him. He’s just as brutal and controlling as others from the corpo world. If anything, he would be mostly blinded by Hanako’s physical appeal, rather than trying to understand her as an individual and develop a kind of bond of with her. What do you think? Should I make content with him from time to time? He is the literal opposite of my beloved Vincent, didn’t grow up on respect woman juice, and would be punched in the face rater then kissed by Hanako, lmao
