hhmmm how about mafia AU Alessia, Ash and Delphia, for 'Giants kissing tinies on their tummy, its a vulnerable place that protects vital organs— so an abundance of trust would be needed. But goodness, would the gentle contact melt them..' and maybe 'Giants that purr', if that's alright :3
ty so much for the prompt from the list i shared!! This wound up being just what i needed to start getting my brain going again
hope you like a bit of drunk cry baby alessia and trusting humans
tw: drunk giant, mentions of alcohol
Trust and Honesty
“Should I walk you back?” Felix asked. Alessia shook her head, but the stumble that followed likely didn’t make him want to listen.
“M’fine. Take care of the humans. I’ll get home fine,” she said as she pushed him away. Her brother sighed, but did step back from her. She waited for him to leave, but he stared down at her instead.
“Alessia.”
“What?”
“The bag, I need that to take care of the humans.”
“Oh!” Alessia quickly shoved her hands forward, the bag with humans not even in them. She furrowed her brows in confusion. One look around and she found the bag by where she had been sitting, safely hidden from her drunk moves and prying eyes of other giants. With all her focus she lifted the bag and slowly moved it into the open. She let it sit on the table, wincing when she heard a scream from inside.
“Get some sleep, make sure you drink some water. You should have sent one of the signals we would have started to water down your drinks.”
“M’fine. I can drink just as much as you or Rhys!”
Felix laughed, Alessia pouted. One of his hands landed on her head before he grabbed the bag with humans. No noises from inside when he did it. She wanted to be more reassuring to humans. Others said she was more comforting than her brothers, but she didn’t believe them. All night humans called her a monster. Even after she’d slipped them into her hand to drop them in her bag. If she opened it now they’d call her one too.
“Are you sure you don’t want someone to go with you?” Felix asked again. She stepped out from under his hand. “Rhys shouldn’t be far from here. He could drop Ryder off if you just don’t want one of us around.”
“I said,” Alessia glared up at her brother, “it’s fine. Just take the humans to be safe. Where there aren’t any monsters.”
“Alessia-”
She walked off before he could say more. Each step was steady until she walked out the door. Immediately she stumbled and nearly fell to her knees. A part of her knew she should have had someone walk back with her, but she didn’t want that tonight. Just enough that went wrong to make it hard to head back home. She briefly considered going to stay at a different bar for the night.
Alessia jumped when her phone beeped. It took a few tries to pull it free from her pocket, even more to get her password right. A smile slipped onto her face when the screen lit up with the message. A picture from Ash of Delphia climbing up the blanket Alessia left falling off her bed. Another message chime and a picture of Delphia with crossed arms sitting on the ground where the blanket was piled up. A laugh left her as she shoved the phone back in her pocket.
Alessia took a deep breath and started forward. Two humans that trusted her. That were clearly tired of waiting for her to get home. After a few steps she stumbled again, but this time she laughed. She could already picture Del complaining about how late it was. Things had gotten a little out of hand, but it would be fine now. She’d get home and hold the two most amazing humans ever.
Stumble after stumble Alessia got closer to her home. It felt like an eternity before she saw the gate to their property. Another stumble, this time she wound up close to the building next to her. A crack sounded that froze her blood. Slowly she lifted her foot to see a crushed human car. Alessia fell to her knees, picking at the destroyed vehicle.
“Oh no,” she breathed. Tears fell from her eyes as she managed to pry the top of the car off. The relief that entered her body finding it empty was impossible to explain.
It was a rare chance to see the inside of a human car. It looked the same as the ones she’d been in. It was so tiny though. She could hold it, treat it like a toy. Humans would sit inside, drive around, live their lives. Average, normal, part of a daily life…and she broke it. That made a sob slip out of her chest.
Alessia wound up trying to figure out a way to fix it. She tried to pull the car back into shape. The attempt to flatten the tiny roof broke it in half. To fix a door landed with it in her fingers. Everything broke it more. That made Alessia cry more. It lasted until the car was torn apart in front of her. Then she just sat there, crying over the tiny car she broke.
“Alessia?” Rhys’s voice made it worse. “Are you ok?”
She turned back to find her brother walking towards her. Ryder was on his shoulder. That made a new round of sobs start. She was going to make her youngest brother hate her. All because she stumbled and stepped on a car. Rhys started to run once he saw her face.
“What happened? Did you get hurt?”
A shake of her head. Alessia brought her hands up and tried to dry her eyes. Rhys’s hand was on her shoulder after a few seconds. That made her feel even worse. Ryder could definitely see the car now.
“Alessia?” Ryder asked.
“I broke it,” she whispered. She pulled her hands away from her face and stared at the torn apart car. Now Ryder could see her like the other humans.
“Alessia, it’s just a toy we can get another one.” Rhys grabbed her arm and tried to pull her to her feet, but she pulled out of his grip.
“It’s a car Rhys! I broke someone’s car!”
Alessia cried even harder. Rhys sighed, but Ryder started to climb down her. She didn’t want him to see what she did, but it was more terrifying to grab him. She gasped when his weight was gone from her.
“Rhys let me look,” Ryder shouted. She didn’t hear Rhys say anything. Instead he reached down and lifted a part of the roof she’d broken. He dropped Ryder on the hand the roof was in and used his now free hand to grab her own.
“Alessia feel this. It’s not metal, human cars are made of the same metal as a giant’s car. Let’s get you home and then Ryder and I will come back to clean this up, ok?,” Rhys whispered.
After a few sniffles she nodded. Rhys pulled her up from the ground. It was a lot harder to stay on her feet this time. After one step Rhys sighed. She sniffled again, now she made him upset. The weight against her was gone, replaced by something hitting her knees. She gasped as he pulled her into his arms. Sometimes it was easy to forget her brothers were strong enough to carry her.
“Put me down,” she whined. It was the first time she saw his eyes, he looked worried. Ryder was sitting on the top of his head staring down at her. Both her brothers gave her firm shakes of no. “I can walk!”
“This is faster,” Rhys said.
There was no option to argue once he started to walk. The best choice was sticking a pout on her face and crossing her arms. She refused to look at him too, but that backfired. She saw the car again and more tears came from her eyes. She didn’t want to go back to the house anymore. It didn’t feel like metal, but she didn’t believe Rhys. He was a good liar, she broke someone’s car.
“Can we not go home?” she whispered.
“We’re going home, you’re drunk,” Rhys was firm. He didn’t sound like he normally did. He sounded angry. She closed her eyes so she couldn’t see someone angry at her.
It was almost peaceful as Rhys walked in silence. Alessia’s tears slowly dried. She still wanted to argue she could walk, but it was kind of nice to be carried. Nice enough she thought she might even fall asleep.
—------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next thing she knew she was dropped on her bed. Rhys said something she mostly ignored, her pillow smelled like flowers. Her favorite flowers. Ash and Delphia. They didn’t know about the car she broke. They didn’t think she was a monster, she loved them. She heard her door close and thought about trying to sleep.
That thought lasted less than a second. Alessia started to slide off her bed. She didn’t want to be too noisy and wake up her flowers. She didn’t want to lose their scent either. Her knees hit the ground with a thump. Reluctantly, she lifted her head and pushed herself off the soft surface.
She sucked in a breath before looking over to her dresser. Ash and Delphia didn’t come out. Either she was quiet enough or they’d gone to the home outside the main house. She chose to believe she was quiet enough. With that settled Alessia put her hands on the ground. It was obvious to her that crawling would be quieter than walking.
Alessia kept her head down while she crawled. A close eye on where each hand was placed. No human should be on the ground in here, but just in case. It was to avoid anything someone might have left in her room too. She wouldn’t want to break something that belonged to Ash, Delphia, Sola, or Luna. It would destroy her if she broke something of her mother’s.
It felt like an eternity before she was in front of her dresser. As slow as she could manage, she pulled herself to sit on her knees. Alessie set just the tips of her fingers against the dresser. Moved forward to rest her chin against the top, too. There was no movement. No noise. Nothing to give a sign that her flowers were in the house inside. She squinted to try and see through the walls to them.
Just as a whine started to bubble up in her chest, the door to the little house opened. Ash walked out without a shirt, pants hanging off their hips. The whine immediately swapped to a purr as they walked closer. She frowned when they stopped before touching her. The purr in her chest died down to where she barely felt it.
“You’re louder when you crawl,” Ash said. Alessia pulled her chin off the dresser and lowered her head until her eyes were all that was visible. “You were supposed to be home hours ago. We were worried. You saw the messages. Felix told us when you left.”
“Sorry,” she whispered. Ash stepped a bit closer. Their smell was intoxicating. She was desperate to taste them. They spread their arms wide.
Alessia quite literally jumped at the chance to get close. She slammed her lips right into their stomach. A hand behind them to hold them close. A purr erupted from her chest, she opened her lips slightly to get a taste of the earthy flowers. They chuckled, but leaned into her.
“Ash, I thought we were going to wait until tomorrow to talk to her,” Delphia’s voice was angry. Alessia whined again. It made the purr feel weird in her chest. “First she goes out to a bar when she promised to spend the night with us. Then she gets lost while drunk and Rhys has to go out to find her.”
“Sorry.” Alessia’s eyes started to fill with tears. Delphia walked forward and placed her hands on Alessia’s lips.
“Did you get hurt?”
A head shake. A tiny hand slapped her. She whined again. A tiny kiss pressed on Alessia’s lips had the purr burst out of her twice as loud as before. She brought a hand up behind Delphia and pressed a kiss on the cloth covering the tiny woman’s stomach. The dark blue satin nightgown didn’t hide the floral taste.
“You’re more drunk than I thought,” Ash chuckled.
“What kept you so long?” Delphia’s voice was soft, but Alessia dropped down at the words. She left the two humans standing high above her as she settled on her back.
“I don’t wanna tell you,” she whined.
Alessia jumped as a small weight landed on her stomach. Sometimes she forgot the two humans she fell for were reckless. As reckless as she was. Another weight joined the first and that only made her whine. They needed to stay up high where she couldn’t hurt them. Tears fell from her eyes as the image of the car popped into her head. It didn’t matter what Rhys said. She still thought it was a human car.
“Alessia, you can tell us. We were worried,” Delphia said. The little woman lost the fierce attitude when it came to Alessia, but it didn’t make anything easier. Alessia whined again, it was immediately replaced by purrs when one of the humans on her stomach moved.
She pushed herself up to see Ash walking on her. They stopped once she met their eyes and fell to their knees. A moment passed before they leaned down and kissed her stomach, just as she had them. It made her blush, but made it even harder to say what happened. Delphia did the same thing Ash did which set Alessia off. She couldn’t hide the truth from them.
“I-I st-stepped-” she sobbed, the words were a fight to get out “I stepped on a- on a car. R-Rhys says it w-was a toy, but it could be a human’s and then-then I broke someone’s car!”
“Alessia,” Both humans said her name, but she was set off again completely. She sat up as straight as she could without sending the humans tumbling to the floor and used a hand to rub her eye.
“I-I tried to fix it, but everything made it worse. Humans could be stranded and it’s all my fault. A-and now you two know and I-I might scare you and-and-and I’m a monster like everyone outside the Kamias! Like all the humans tonight said!”
Alessia gave up trying to see them. She fell onto her back and almost hoped the two would climb off her. Climb back to the house and leave her all alone. Instead she felt one of the two walking up towards her head, the other walking towards her legs. She was confused, but didn’t want to risk hurting them. It would be better if she didn’t move.
Whichever one of them had gone toward her legs reached the end of her shirt. She only knew because they lifted up the cloth. She gasped when cold tiny hands touched her skin. It was almost enough to make her sit up. Almost.
“Was there anyone in the car? Or things that could be a human’s?” Delphia’s voice came from Alessia’s chest.
“N-no, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a human’s car,” she whispered.
It was the first time in a long time she was worried about being too loud. The cold hands of Ash made her jump again when they pressed against the skin of her stomach. Another purr ripped from her chest when the smallest spot of cold hit her skin. Another kiss. Another sign of love, acceptance. Of trust.
“I did hear Rhys say he was going to go clean up what happened, Ryder was on his head,” Delphia walked as she spoke now. Getting closer and closer. Alessia tried her best not to give in to her desire to hold the little woman. To pull Ash from her shirt and hold them close where she could kiss them, smell them, anything her mind came up with.
“But-” Alessia stopped when another pinprick of cold hit her skin. She couldn’t understand just how Ash was that cold.
“So if there was a human, they’ll have a chance to get help. I doubt they saw a crying giant, likely mumbling to herself about how she broke a car and ruined some poor human’s life as a threat. Ryder will convince them, Rhys would smell them and catch them. Plus,” Alessia held her breath when she felt Delphia’s weight leave her chest. Relief made her purr louder when it reappeared on her cheek. Tiny hands wiped at the tears Alessia had been shedding, “You would have smelled a human. Knowing you, that would have made you grab them in fear they’d get hurt, especially with how much you had to drink tonight.”
They sat in silence for a bit. Alessia let what Delphia said settle in her mind. It made sense, sort of, but didn’t change anything. She could step on a car. Break it. Ruin something important for a human’s daily life. She was dangerous. A risk to the two currently on top of her. Especially the one she now felt making their way up to her chest.
She didn’t dare speak while Delphia was on her cheek. While Ash climbed to reach her face. Too many risks. Too much danger. It didn’t help that she couldn’t stop purring from Delphia’s scent and Ash’s movements. The two were a perfect combo to make her relaxed and happy. Something she didn’t deserve at the moment. The combo nearly beat her when Ash reached her collarbone and paused to plant a few more kisses. Each one making her purr grow just a little louder.
Finally Ash cleared her shirt. She was both sad and relieved to have it happen, it was safer they were out. They didn’t move from right by her neck. She waited a painfully long time. It was clear after a few seconds that they weren’t moving though.
“We trust you,” Ash said. Their words broke the little control she’d managed. She reached up quickly to grab Delphia and Ash, one in each hand. Then rolled onto her side to stare at them both. Ash smirked at her. It reminded her of Rhys’s when he broke through some bad lie she’d come up with. Ash spent too much time with him. “You’re no monster. We wouldn’t love you if you were.”
Alessia leaned into her hands. She pressed her lips against the stomachs of the two humans as best she could. Both started laughing as soon as she touched them. They’d said before that her purrs made her whole body shake. Made her lips tickle them. She kind of liked that. She kissed them again and again until finally the alcohol and tears caught up with her. She fell asleep holding them both, smelling the most wonderful flowers in the world, hearing the sweetest mixture of laughs.
—--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next morning Alessia woke up on the floor with an awful headache. Two humans comfortably asleep in her hands and a little in her mouth from how she held them. She managed to push herself up while the two stayed asleep. Slow, slightly painful steps brought her to her bed where she got comfortable. Of course she did pull Delphia and Ash right against her lips again. The trust felt nice.
Her mind was clearer too. It was obviously a toy she stepped on thinking back. No motor, no glass, and like Rhys said it wasn’t metal. Crying over what she thought was a human car could have put her in a bad position with other families too. She couldn’t bring herself to care though. Not when the two most important people in the world to her cared enough to reassure her. To promise that even if it was a real car they wouldn’t abandon her.

Princess and Protectors
Day 31 Free Day. Here's the second one of today's stories. thank you @skmayor for giving me an idea that I wound up wanting to do as both familial gt and romantic gt!
Alessia and Ash are carrying Delphia home after she took a trip to a human city on her own again. She's caught up in her memories for much of the walk (Using the same world as Enchantment or Curse)
Princess and Protectors
“I still don’t see what the big deal is,” Delphia crossed her arms and huffed. The fingers around her twitched, clearly upset that she was pouting. It didn’t matter, she wanted to know more. It was boring being trapped all the time.
“We just don’t want anything happening to you. It's still hard for you to fly, isn’t it?” Alessia’s musical voice was relaxing. Delphia’s wings were sore. Traveling all the way here alone had been hard. Especially since her wings were still healing. It wasn’t always easy to keep herself off the ground.
Ash’s finger ran down her wings. It made her shiver. Delphia looked up at them, they were clearly worried. The warmth of their skin against her wings always soothed her. She leaned into the finger, getting a chuckle from their. Their voice always reminded her of thunder.
“We worry, flower, people know you now,” they whispered. She frowned at that. They always worry. The two worry about everything. It didn’t matter that people knew her, nothing would happen because of that.
Delphia had always been fine on her own. It was her favorite thing to visit human towns. When she did there was so much for her to learn. Visiting the towns brought her to Ash and Alessia. She’d never forget that day.
Ash found her right after she got cut by some wire. Her arms were mostly fine, but her wings were in an awful state. Almost shredded. It would have been impossible to get home. When she saw Ash approach she was convinced she was going to be trapped. Instead they crouched down to get closer to her. They made her curious.
Eyes of green and blue that reminded her of the clearing she loved to play in. Short hair neatly cut close to their head that reminded her of tree bark. Dark brown skin that radiated warmth. When they brought their hands close she couldn’t stop her shaking, but all they did was wait. She could see on their face how lost they were. It had taken everything for her to admit she needed help… and everything to accept that this person wasn’t about to hurt her.
Their hands were so soft despite the calluses on their skin. That day when they touched her wings they twitched and she whined. It left them with a look of worry as they pulled her close. Their heart was racing more than her own. A steady and fast beat that made her feel safe. She wasn’t scared of them at that point, they weren’t a human to fear.
“Really Del, just tell us and one of us can go with you. Both of us sometimes,” Alessia said. “Humans might… might crowd you if you’re alone.”
It pulled Delphia from her thoughts. Ash’s finger hadn’t stopped petting her wings. It was deceptively kind. She pulled her wings forward and away from them. The pair of sighs the humans gave made her almost feel guilty. Almost. Alessia started to walk as soon as Ash pulled their hand away. Delphia let out a sigh of her own. Alessia always said that, but no humans showed her any interest. They wouldn’t crowd her.
With her own sigh she settled back into her memories. It had been odd, as Ash carried her. They didn’t say a word that day, not until they set her down at least. All they did was rush somewhere Delphia couldn’t see. She’ll never forget how amazing it sounded when Alessia and Ash both spoke.
“Ash, what’s wrong?” Alessia had asked. It was like music.
Concern dripped from the words, but Delphia grew scared. Another human could mean the one holding her left. The fear died when the dark brown flesh that blocked her vision moved. When she saw the beautiful plump woman looking down at her.
Eyes a warm brown that seemed to lock on her tiny form. Hair the color of the night sky tied back in a bun. A face with rosy skin and plush lips that slowly contorted into concern. Loud words were said, words she could barely comprehend. Ash moved, putting her down on a table where she was at the mercy of them both.
“She hasn’t spoken yet,” Ash said. Their voice that day was a thunderstorm. She’d always liked thunder. “Some wire was above her. I cut it down after I picked her up. Look at her wings…”
Alessia crouched down to Delpiha’s level. Ash followed suit. Meeting their eyes she felt safe. Humans had always interested her. Two were staring right at her. Her wings needed to be taken care of, the cuts on her own pale skin too. She looked at her wings, their blue glow was too weak. She grabbed her black hair, pulling it forward and away from her wings. She would ask for help.
“Perhaps we can plan a trip to the capital?” Ash said. Another time her thoughts were stopped. Alessia’s fingers had flattened a bit. She could see more of the world. They chose to take the long way home. The way that let her see all the beautiful flowers. “Once your wings are more recovered.”
“Really!?” she cheered. That was somewhere she couldn’t get before. It was too far from home. Too far from her family and her role.
“As long as no one argues, although we could probably convince them. Especially if you stop pulling stunts like this so your wings heal,” Alessia smiled. Delphia’s wings twitched, but she could try and avoid flying to see the capital. So many humans always talk about it… Ash and Alessia talked about it when she met them.
“Should we take her to the capital?” Ash asked. Delphia tilted her head. Rhys and Vincent had gone there.
“I don’t know. She might not be related to the one meeting the king-” Alessia said.
“My brother went to that place, but he said I shouldn’t go there,” Delphia said. It caused both humans to stare at her. Crouching to meet her again. They’d taken care of her arms and legs, but her wings were still shredded. That needed time and magic. Both of which meant she had to go home. She couldn’t get home on her own.
“Here I had started thinking you couldn’t talk.” The melody of Alessia’s voice made her twitch her wings. One of Ash’s hands reached for her, stopping before touching.
“Careful of your wings. Is there a way we can help those heal?” The thunder of Ash’s voice made her feel safe.
“...I have to go home.” Delphia stared into the two sets of massive eyes. Eyes that made her feel safe. It was the first time someone she met saw her and not a princess to use. “Can you take me?”
“What are you thinking about, little love?” Alessia laughed. The melody pulled her thoughts away.
“When we met,” Delpha smiled. She laid back on Alessia’s palm to stare up at her and Ash. They were amazing.
“I wish we could have done more that day,” Ash whispered. They brought a finger close to her again, gently brushing her hair from her face.
“You two are the only reason I can still fly. It would be a lot worse if you two hadn’t found me… What’s the real reason you don’t want me going to the city alone?”
“Worry, that’s all.”
The walk continued in silence again. Delphia couldn’t stop wondering about the truth, but she’d learn eventually. There were too many things she didn’t know about humans. A lot Ash and Alessia protected her from. Rhys and Vincent did too. The day the two came back to find two humans in the flower field holding her had been a mess.
“Who the hell are you two?!” Vincent’s shout had scared her. He was the reason she started to be curious about humans. They way his eyes burned when he saw her in someone’s palm had been terrifying. “What the hell did you two do to her?”
Vincent grabbed Rhys as he tried to fly closer. Ash was holding Delphia that time. The silent way they passed her to Alessia’s hand was strange. Comforting in a way. They looked down at her and their eyes somehow promised she’d be kept safe. Safe from what, she didn’t know.
She watched Ash walk right up to Vincent. A conversation she couldn’t hear, but Vincent let Rhys go. He flew straight to her, landing in Alessia’s hand. Healing magic came from him immediately. Her wings burned, but the healing started. Enough she knew she could fly again once the burning was gone.
“Are you alright, Del?” Rhys asked. She nodded. Ash and Vincent came closer. Delphia jumped up. Her wings were strong enough, but Rhys flew up to help her stay flying.
“Thank you both for helping me,” Delphia said. Looking at Ash and Alessia. “I’m Delphia.”
“I’m Ash,” Thunder that made her shiver.
“Alessia, can I call you Del?” A song that made her wings twitch.
The start of something amazing. The start of love that she didn’t plan to find… If her wings hadn’t started to shine a green and gold no one would have believed her. The special spell to help her find her true love or in this case loves.
Alessia knocked her from her memories again. Sliding Delphia off her hand and onto Ash’s. Both had an intense look she didn’t understand. They had this look a lot of times after they took her from the city. They wouldn’t tell her why. A quick kiss between the two giants she loved before the attention switched to her.
“Take care of Del,” Alessia whispered. She crouched down to Ash’s palm. Delphia wanted to argue, but giant plush lips stopped her. She was pressed down by the lips into the warm, firm palm. When Alessia pulled away a faint blue glow lit up her face. “I’ll be right back.”
Alessia ran off and Ash turned away. Delphia tried to fly off their palm to see what was going on. They stopped her. A look on their face kept her from trying again. She sat back, lying against their chest. Someday the two would tell her why they were so worried. Why the times this happened she heard voices and metal clashing. Why sometimes Alessia came back looking hurt. She didn’t understand humans, but she’d keep trying so she could understand the humans she loved.
Ash looked back before staring down at her with love, “Don’t look so worried, little flower. Just know we’ll always protect our fairy princess.”

Self Reflection
hey hey day 11 we have melancholy. This time I went more for the overwhelming feeling of the story rather than my usual methods of taking prompts. Will add this to ao3 once the ddos is over
Kaiju Ash is thinking about their life, both current and former. Unsure what they want if they should let things continue as they are.
TW: Mentions of death, probably other things i'm not realizing please lemme know if I should tag them.
Self Reflection
I stared at the clouds as the water fell over my body. I never stood for storms before, but I wanted to clear the dirt from my skin, or rather scales. Alessia said it, my body was no longer human skin. I was covered in something more like carapace. After a day of begging I did promise the two I would use the next storm to clear the dirt and leaves from me. Of course they had to stay in the small house, one made of my vines. Even with it separated sometimes it let me hear, let me know things I shouldn’t. Now was one of those times.
“We need to go into a town soon,” Alessia said. I frowned, if they left I shouldn’t let them back. It wasn’t safe near me. I closed my eyes as the water continued to pelt my body. I sort of enjoyed the feeling of the rain on my eyes. I knew that wasn’t normal.
“You know if we both go Ash will need convincing to bring us back,” Delphia said. Despite the way their voices traveled, I enjoyed hearing such normal talk between them. I didn’t even know this could happen. I should stop being shocked when the vines become an extension of myself.
“So you stay.” The two sounded happy, it had been too long with me. They should leave. I tried not to react to their words. If I moved it would still bother them despite the security we’d managed to create.
“No, there’s too much for you to get alone. Too bad Ash can’t just grow everything we need.” The unflinching trust continued to hurt my heart. The willingness to abandon their world, their lives, just everything… I didn’t think I could ever feel worthy of their actions and choices. “Plus I’m a bit better at hiding from people than you are. We can’t have someone following us.”
I wanted to keep listening, but the vines decided I’d heard enough. What would happen if someone followed them? If someone new found me? I had met other humans, ones I helped to get to safety. Those ones might not have discussed my existence, or maybe no one believed them. I shook my head, I couldn’t think about people like that. I wasn’t something else, I was human… wasn’t I?
I walked away from my miniscule loves. My focus was at the edge of the forest. The forest that fit me, that grew around me. Trees tall enough that they hid me even when I stood. This wasn’t natural or normal. I ran my hands, more precisely my claws, over the bark. It was stronger than the trees I faintly remembered from my life before. When they weren’t just a little taller than me.
It didn’t take long for me to reach my goal. I stood next to the town that I’d turned into a grave. It still hurt to think of what I’d done. Delphia and Alessia were convinced it wasn’t my fault, but it was. I could have listened, I could have gone back to sleep. So many lives would have been saved if I had never woken up. The days I dreamed, the times I woke up to phantom feelings of arms around me, were all ones I wished I got to live more often.
I started to reach out towards the edge of the trees. I could leave, I could reveal myself to the world. It would free Alessia and Delphia. It would change things, explain so much. Possibly even make others be believed. My claws hovered near the edge, my hand was shaking. I couldn’t remember what would leave me scared, but revealing myself was terrifying. My memories before this, ones that didn’t include Alessia and Delphia, were still too hazy. Sometimes it felt like they were fading away, that if the others weren’t with me I would lose everything that explained who I was.
“We shouldn’t be doing this,” a small voice said. It wasn’t coming through my vines, it was masculine. Familiar. A shiver ran through my body, water fell from places it had pooled on me. The only thing that reminded me that rain was falling all around me.
“Leave then, I’m not walking away,” a new voice. Also masculine… Also familiar… I was frozen, the strange scales or carapace caught water all over me. That didn’t matter, those voices… Those voices terrified me.
“So you can disappear too?” I was tempted to try and find them. To face the terror in my blood. They were going to be the same size as the others… I couldn’t risk doing anything to them.
“I’m finding them. This is the last place they checked in from.”
“You know how likely it is that they survived out here this long?! Their car isn’t even here! At least wait until the storm is over.”
“You can wait until the storm is over. If my sister is out there I’m finding her. I’m dragging them both home because if she’s there so is Alessia!”
My heart froze. They… these voices wanted Alessia and Delphia. Were they from that life? That time that I can barely remember? I felt it as they entered the forest. My forest. One storming ahead, something in my mind tingled at the knowledge. As though it was something that bubbled with joy and memories.
“Strawberry, we should at least stay together!” I stumbled at those words. A thousand arrows attacked my heart. I knew those words, I knew these people. I knew these humans. “Shit, run!”
They were running because of me. Something I did, my steps or my vines I didn’t know. I had to stop them, protect them from the truth. From finding the damage I’d done by existing. I heard screams. A part of me wondered if Delphia and Alessia would hear them. If they’d hate me for what was happening now. Another part thought they should and then they would leave.
I heard shouts as my vines grabbed the two humans. I was conscious of the choice to grab them. I focused on keeping the movement of my vines slow even as I crouched. I was still towering over everything. The vines stopped just at my eyes. It was like the day Delphia and Alessia returned to my life. One face of anger and fear, another of something akin to a calm understanding.
“Rhys, do not say a thing, do not ask questions, I will get us out of this,” the angry one said. He had scars on his eyes, the shape of an X on each. They were a pale contrast on his dark skin. Silver hair that had fallen in his face and hung heavily due to the rain. Mismatched eyes like my own, different colors though. A brilliant emerald and striking violet.
“Vincent…” Rhys said it, at least that’s what I could assume was his name. Salmon hair, tan skin, pink eyes that saw through me. I knew this person, I’d spent a lot of time with him. A flash in my mind, someone yelling with the pink eyed man laughing beside me. I pushed him, a smile playing on my own lips.
I brought a hand up to shield them from the rain. Both stared at me, unflinching eyes. I… I shouldn’t have grabbed them. I should have left them to wander, only blocking them from going too far. Instead I took my other hand below them. Another thing I learned I could do, the vines moved over to my skin without a need for me to try. More screams.
I stood, slower than normal to be safe. I looked around the world, these two on my hand a stark reminder of what I’ve lost. I kept my hand low. It was difficult, but I knew raising them too high might cause them to be hurt. I was lucky Alessia and Delphia had been safe. I made the choice to change how my vines held them. Holding them safely together instead of apart. I could hear the mumbles from them, reassurances that they would survive.
I could speak, I could tell them. Words didn’t occur to me, the ones to fix this. I… I wanted them not to know who I was. More memory flashes made it hurt to imagine them scared of me when they knew it was me. I took the steps I needed to return to Delphia and Alessia. The small women were waiting for me, ignoring the rain still pouring from the sky.
As soon as I brought my hand close the men I held reacted. The words were… not kind. I didn’t want to think about the consequences of how they acted. Directing my vines to set the men down was easy, the two grabbing Alessia and Delphia and trying to hide them from me was not. I still couldn’t make my voice work. When they knew it was me, would they still be scared? Was I not something to be trusted? I wasn’t… I wasn’t a human no matter how much I wanted to believe I was… was I?
“Rhys?” Delphia said. She was trying to pull away, to be in my view. It made me feel happier, warmer, more human. “Let go of me. What are you even doing here?”
“We came to find the two of you. It’s been months with no contact!” Rhys shouted. The shout made me jump. It was louder than I expected, but my jump caused both men to lose their footing.
“Vincent, Rhys calm down. We’re fine.” Alessia looked up at me with a bright smile. Another thing that made me feel human, gifts constantly offered by them. “We found them. We found Ash.”
Both men stared at me. It didn’t take long for Rhys to be on his feet holding Delphia’s shoulders. I wanted to pull him away. To stop him from hurting her. He wouldn’t… Rhys wasn’t that person. I knew that. Vincent was glaring at me on his feet. It… I knew that glare. I knew him too. I hated this terror budding in my heart.
“Del, that-that thing is not Ash!” I closed my eyes. I needed to stay calm, but my tail didn’t agree. The loud thumps of the appendage were already causing the four ant sized humans to stumble. “This is proof! That thing is a monster and we need to escape.”
“No.” Delphia set herself free. She actually came closer to me. I brought my claw near her, she reached for it. Vincent pulled her back, he had a firm grip on Alessia’s wrist too. Something rumbled up deep in my chest, I had never noticed the growls I could make before.
“That is not a human reaction, Strawberry is right. We need to get away from this thing. You two are brainwashed.” Vincent had always been harsh. My brain had so much firing at once. Times with both, pushing Rhys to speak to the glaring man. Vincent unsure how to admit his own feelings. Smiles with both of them, nights where I spent time away from Alessia and Delphia. Where I spent time with another family, my new family.
“Who cares!? This is Ash and we’re not brainwashed. You two shouldn’t even be here. Go home. We’ll be back once we’ve fixed this.” Alessia’s firm voice calmed me. The rumbling in my chest disappeared. The ones most important to me were fine and didn’t see me as a monster.
“It can’t even talk that isn’t Ash! I know you miss them, but they died. Just like everyone else when this forest popped up, please just let us try to figure a way out of this and get home. Everyone’s been worried about you two and this constant searching.” My chest rumbled again, but there was more pain than anger.
“Will you stop talking like they aren’t here? Like they can’t understand you!? This is Ash, you're both just being cruel. It’s… how can you treat them like that!? You both were as devastated as we were when the news came and they’re here and you’re treating them like a monster that can’t even speak!”
“It can’t speak! All it’s done is growl. It probably just decided to look like them.”
“I do speak, I.. it is me,” I whispered. Despite the safety my vines promised my voice I was terrified. Now those humans would know who I am. The memories of happy times would be tainted by fearful faces. The men stared at me with a cocktail of pain, shock, and fear.
“They’re really alive, Rhys. It’s them.” Delphia was grabbing Rhys’s arm, trying to make them listen.
All I could do after that was watch them. Words exchanged all while the staring continued. I wanted to do something. Find a way to prove who I was. It was clear they didn’t believe in me. They only saw a monster. The pain I feared came together the longer I watched them.
“Fine, we’ll get your supplies and come back. We’re staying at least for a few weeks,” Rhys said.
That would make sense, it would work. There would be room in the house for the two of them. Although… I could almost remember what their home looked like. At least Rhys’s home I couldn’t recall if Vincent lived there. On top of my claws a small square of vines appeared. I pushed the cube off, vines trailing off my claw. I snapped it before the cube settled next to the home I barely remembered.
“Is that our house?” Vincent said. It was always him when there was a strange mixture of shock and suspicion.
I watched Rhys walk in, despite Vincent calling him back. The man walked out and stared up at me with awe. Vincent grabbed his arm, but stopped. I wasn't sure why. It didn’t matter, they were too far in the forest for a human to walk back in a reasonable time. It looked like they were slowly realizing it.
“Well we should go… assuming ‘Ash’ will take us… and pick us up when we get back,” Rhys said. It was clear they didn’t believe it was me. That I was some monster that Alessia and Delphia had trained. Maybe I was.
Regardless I offered my hand. The two didn’t move. I wasn’t sure what to do. I noticed Delphia pointing towards a loose vine. I should grab them? I tilted my head. She nodded, reading the question despite how hard it must be to read my face. So small and delicate. In the back of my mind I knew those words didn’t suit the men my vines were grabbing.
“Woah, easy with the vines godzilla,” Vincent said. The words hurt, but the nickname stuck out. Vincent… he gives people nicknames; it's a part of him. I… calling me something else might be good. I set them down in the center of my palm. Where I knew I could keep them safe. Ant sized humans… How had I started to trick myself into thinking I still was one.
I stood, with my hand at my waist to avoid hurting Rhys and Vincent. Only a few steps to travel what would take them days or weeks. I couldn’t call myself human. Near the edge, not quite outside the trees that towered thousands of feet over humans… over creatures I was starting to struggle to believe I ever was one of. I crouched again, setting my hand down and hoping the two I could faintly remember laughing with wouldn’t show me more fear.
They stumbled off my hand. Stared at me with emotions I couldn’t understand.
“If you really are Ash. Alessia says she’s finding a way to turn you back. If it works well… I’m glad they found you and I’m sorry… for treating you like a monster,” Rhys said. My eyes widened. Vincent pulled Rhys towards what I knew had to be a car. It was so small… I constantly found myself in awe at the trust Delphia and Alessia put in me.
“You’re keeping the nickname whether you’re Ash or not. Godzilla fits you pretty damn well,” Vincent pushed Rhys towards a door as he spoke. I stood up straight as I watched both men climb into the vehicle. It was hard, I could remember riding in one. The danger it posed before. Only now could I crush it like a bug. I… I didn’t like thinking like that.
I watched it drive off. The distance it covered would be faster for me. I could travel farther than I had ever dreamed. Yet I had to stay within these trees. Where nothing could find me from above and I controlled the ground. I stared at my clawed hand, looked over the scaled body I now existed in. I wasn’t human.
My vines apparently wanted me to know this. They pulled back from my skin, the skin akin to stone. It looked like stone when I focused on it. Other vines pulled my tail forward, even with the rain that continued to pour I could see the red smears that I never cleaned off. Remnants of what I’d done, who I’d hurt. People with names and faces I couldn’t remember or know.
I didn’t know why the building was unharmed that day. Why the people had survived and stayed past the terrifyingly large trees. Maybe I had disrupted them. This monstrous body was covered in sin after sin that I could never escape. I turned to look at where I knew Delphia and Alessia were. Humans that loved me… that loved a me that was dead.
“I’m sorry,” I whispered. “I love you and I miss our life, but I don’t think I can go back. After everything I did… Everything that happened because of me. I don’t deserve to live a simple human life again.”
I wouldn’t tell them now… I wouldn’t end our time yet. I would wait for Rhys and Vincent. Wait for them to leave and when- when supplies were next needed I would tell them. I would send them off and lock my forest away from humans for good. No one would be at risk because of me or anything I might cause.

Meeting Your God
Day 6 AU
THIS HAS SPOILERS FOR FF14 ENDWALKER AND PATCH 6.3 (Alliance Raid 2 post story)
Ash and Delphia are scouting ahead of their current group for this series of fights, but it's for some reasons that they want to keep hidden from the others
Meeting Your God
Delphia was excited. The next god to fight was Halone. All the stories she heard while training in Ishgard would be nothing next to this. Her tail whipped behind her and her ears twitched. The Elezen from her training days would never believe the little Miqo’te is the one who got to fight Halone. The Au Ra next to her clearly didn’t share her excitement. They had a glare on their face.
“Ash, I promise this will be fine. It’s just scouting. If we can tell the others what to expect the fight will go better,” she said. Ash groaned, it was clear they disagreed.
“We have faced Nophica, Althyk, and Nymeia together with no scouting. I don’t think we should be doing this. At the very least I don’t think you should be fighting as a Dragoon,” they said. Delphia frowned; this was an argument they’d had a few times already.
“Ash I told you I have to fight Halone of the twelve as a dragoon.” She held up her lance for emphasis. It wasn’t as though she had stopped keeping her gear ready. She also trained with her guild pretty often. Sometimes even getting Estinien to spar, usually with Tataru’s help. She was ready.
“You’ve been fighting as a ninja for all of the others. Halone is the goddess of war. The fight shall be worse than any other, we should not be alone for this.”
Delphia stopped walking and stared up at the tall Au Ra. Sometimes she hated when she couldn’t stare down at them. The house they’d bought in Gridania’s lavender beds gave her a perfect perch usually. Although, they hadn’t been there since the final days were averted. It was too painful to see the home that three of them had put together.
“Ash, we’ll be fine. Rescue me if it looks like things will go wrong and we’ll run. You’re one of the best white mages out there, you’ll keep me alive. Just let’s try this fight with Halone. I can’t just be part of the crowd later,” she said. She couldn’t wait. If they did it with the others everyone would know. She would be asked to leave, G’Raha would convince her to leave. She couldn’t have that.
“Is this truly going to help?” their voice was quiet. It made her shiver, they weren’t just treating it like a strange adventure anymore. They were making her face the truth too. “I know that this-”
“Pray not now.”
She had wrapped her tail around her leg, her ears flat on her head. Ash came up and pulled her into a tight hug. Things hadn’t truly recovered for them, not yet. The final days were horrifying. So many innocent people lost, and they lost one they loved. Nothing had been the same since they watched their partner disappear.
“This won’t bring her back, Halone didn’t-”
“The twelve didn’t help! You know how many nights I begged to bring her back. To show us she was safe. They could have done something… They could have helped. I need to be here to fight them, but Halone… She looked like Halone Ash. I can’t even enter the Holy See… I need to be sure I can face her, that we’ll finish this fight against them. I can’t let them keep me from fighting.”
“We’ll fight, but we leave at the first sign it’s too much.” They pulled back, large hands cupping her face. She leaned into them. “Promise me we’ll leave, I can’t lose you too.”
“I promise. We both live after this and… and maybe we can finally go back home once we’ve faced her. Just live in the memories until the next disaster. The next foray into the world of the voidsent.”
Ash leaned forward and kissed her. It was quick, but their emotion came through like fire. She wouldn’t be able to face this painful reality without them. Thavnair was rebuilding, the entire world was rebuilding. The lopporits were trying to find their place. The final days were stopped. Everything was good, but for the two of them life had been changed in horrible ways. Ways that they were fighting to overcome.
They spent the rest of the walk to Halone holding hands. This was about more than just discovering the truth of the twelve. This was her own chance at revenge. Revenge for the years she spent promising to serve Halone, to fight under her. The nights she prayed and begged for Alessia to be safe. That the disasters had merely separated them. Ash’s grip on her hand was tight, they were thinking the same things.
The battlefield for Halone was open, much like Nophica’s. There didn’t look to be any danger of falling, that made this easier. The goddess hadn’t appeared yet, but they were ready. They could do this. Ash had brought her back from death before. They took the events of the final days so much harder. They couldn’t save someone from their own dynamis destroying them.
“Ready?” she whispered as she squeezed their hand.
With a single nod they released her. Their staff in hand they started casting the spells that would keep her safe. She held her lance forward as she stepped closer. A large woman landed in front of them. The pain was already starting. The same hair and form as the one they lost. The warm feeling of Ash’s magic faltered for only a moment.
“Nophica had warned me there would be an army to fight,” the voice was melodic. She hadn’t heard Halone talk, she didn’t expect a similar voice. The goddess had a change in posture as she focused on the two of them. Almost rigid. “Pray let the battle commence. It shall be one to remember either way.”
Delphia ran forward. The fight began and her own mind started to go numb. Halone had been a guiding light in her time training as a dragoon. She’d been disliked for her heritage. Looked down on for her small stature. Halone pushed her forward at each step. A calming thought of someone who could stand tall, someone she could look up to.
She jumped, aiming to hit that armor Halone wore on her face. She wanted to see the eyes of the goddess she had grown to hate. Hating her was almost strange. Following her brought her to Ash. The Au Ra had traveled to Gridania to train in healing magic. They wanted to see the forests the place was known for. They were why the house they bought was in the lavender beds.
Delphia bounced off when her hit landed. There was no visible crack. It would take time to build up the jump again so she went for quick stabs. Halone was moving slower than she expected. The other gods had all been constant attacks, but Halone was leaving wide openings. Delphia grew desperate to make this goddess take their fight seriously.
“All-piercing spear, drink deep of raging blizzards!”
Another set of warnings how the ice would scan the floor. Ash had to run up next to her. The safest part of this attack was the two of them together. They had tear tracks. This was hard on them too. Delphia reached up to her own face, her gauntlet came back with the frozen tears. The ice attacks were stopping her own from streaming down her cheeks. It made this easier.
“For glory you must be prepared to render your all!”
Ash ran back and Delphia jumped again. She landed a solid blow on the helm once more. It wouldn’t be impossible to keep this up. She would see Halone’s face, see the face of the goddess who failed. She could remember the day she and Ash had been traveling. When a random woman had been injured. Ash healed her while Delphia fought off the attackers.
“You must do better than that against me.” Halone’s voice sounded strange again. Almost like she was crying. Delphia would never expect that.
A massive spear attack was coming and she had to watch for the safe spot. Running to that location gave her only more time to think, to remember. The brown eyes sparkling as they talked. Night-sky hair that she spent time helping to free of blood. The laughter when the new woman had never heard of such normal things as the aesthetician. The excitement with some of it. Ash had even spoken around her quite a bit.
Delphia managed another jump, landing on the helm again. The attacks were landing easily. It didn’t seem right. There was something bigger coming. The goddess of war couldn’t be this easy to defeat. This wasn’t the fight that she wanted, it was… It was as though Halone wanted to lose against her. That wasn’t enough.
“Fight like you mean it, Halone,” she shouted. That caused a reaction from the goddess.
“There is no retreat - only victory or defeat!” Halone screamed.
A pulse of something came from the goddess’s feet. Likely a warning. Ash had stepped forward, she could see them considering a spell. They were ready to rescue her out of danger. As she reached them a ring of icicles appeared behind them. She grabbed their arm and ran to where the icicles spawned. Just as they reached safety icicles spawned where Ash had been standing. This time there was no sign of the goddess going easy.
The icicles continued to appear in a circular pattern growing closer to Halone. Ash prepared spells, the pulsing hadn’t stopped. Another circle of ice appeared, she realized then it wasn’t icicles. Lances of ice were shooting up from the ground. Apt for Halone. She took the chance to do another jump attack, the helm had cracked. This should be enough.
Memories filled her mind as she entered the air. Working as an adventuring party. Taking in anyone who wanted to aid in battle. Yet the three of them were always together. She was their damage, dragoon or ninja once she’d learned of that job. The stone spoke to her in ways the dragoon job stone never did. Then a paladin, the only paladin she and Ash would ever work with.
“Victory must be seized with one’s own hands!” Halone’s voice hadn’t moved. She took aim.
Another attack landed, but this time Ash pulled her away. The rescue spell hadn’t been needed. She could do this, she would win. They’d finally move forward, forget all the pain. Reminisce in the memories that were too painful to see. Ash grabbed her arms and held her facing Halone once the rescue had finished.
“What are you-”
“Look,” they interrupted her.
Delphia watched as the goddess who may even be bigger than the ancients stood with her head straight up. She… she was taking Delphia’s attacks on purpose? That made no sense. Those attacks could cause the helm to shatter, freeing up new spots to injure. Create better openings to defeat the goddess.
“Why…” she whispered.
Ash shook their head, but pulled her into their arms. This fight was over. Together they watched the helm split in half as Halone turned to face them again. Delphia fell to her knees. Now she could see the tears on the goddess’s face. The clear pain in her eyes. The helm fell to the ground cracking the ice at the goddess’s feet. It wasn’t… it wasn’t possible.
“Alessia?” Ash was the one to say it. Delphia shook her head. This wasn’t possible. Alessia was a miqo’te. Adorable ears that twitched all the time. A tail that wrapped around Ash’s horns when she slept. Alessia… was another warrior of light.
Halone didn’t continue the fight. She dropped her weapons, both fading away. This couldn’t be Alessia. Alessia was shorter than Delphia. Halone, the goddess who looked like their lost partner, was gigantic. Taller than even the tallest Roegadyn. This wasn’t Alessia, this was someone else. A goddess playing an awful trick on a follower who used to be devout.
Delphia climbed to her feet. Ash’s hold had already fallen away. It was the opening she needed, the opening she wanted. These battles weren’t meant to be fatal, but this time she’d end the goddess who failed her. She switched her jobstone out, all of it was prepared. She pulled out her daggers and ran forward, she’d punish the twelve for abandoning them.
“Delphia!” Ash shouted. She ignored them, rescue wouldn’t be ready yet. She used a skill to get above Halone, forced the pain in her heart down, and made a move to kill. Except… that didn’t happen.
Halone caught her waist. Two massive hands holding her like a Roegadyn held a Lalafell. She squirmed to escape. There had to be a way to get free. To continue her plan. The twelve abandoned them in the final days, they weren’t there for Bahamut. It was never their power that helped they didn’t get to take credit anymore. She’d make sure at least one was gone, even one that looked like someone she could barely live without.
The goddess moved her until she was cradled against her armored chest. She hated it. It felt like when Alessia hugged her in those last few days. The night just before they fought Zodiark. Before the final days began. Alessia hadn’t gone along on that fight. She said she’d stay back, she’d protect the others.
When they returned Ash found her first. Delphia showed up seconds later, but those precious seconds were too many. She watched Ash desperately trying to heal Alessia as that horrible black smoke took over her body. No creature appeared in the aftermath, Alessia was just gone. The dynamis destroyed the aether of her soul.
The goddess kneeled in front of Ash. She towered even over them, they just barely reached Delphia while Halone crouched. It felt almost normal. Ash near her while she was wrapped in someone else’s arms. This wasn’t Alessia though. It wasn’t their partner and she had to get away. She started to squirm, a massive hand set on her cheek stopped her.
Delphia was forced to stare into brown eyes that looked too much like the ones she lost. She couldn’t even use Ash for support. Their fingers were wrapped around the hand bigger than her head, trying to pull it away. There was no chance for this to work. She should have known better. She couldn’t kill a god, at least not if it was a real god. Something more than Zodiark or the other primals.
“I missed you,” Halone(?) said. Halone couldn’t have missed her. They had never met before. At least not outside of the times Delphia prayed for help. “I missed both of you, but I couldn’t come back.”
“Lady Halone, we have never met. Pray release Delphia. I will make sure the two of us do not continue with the fights. I beg that you forgive her. We both have yet to truly recover from the losses suffered during the final days,” Ash said. Delphia could hear the undertone of fear. That wasn’t her bigger concern.
“No!” Delphia screamed. “Our fight isn’t over! You can’t just decide it’s done!”
“Del, I don’t-”
“Don’t call her that.” Ash was angry, she didn’t even have to be upset. She was angry too though. Only Alessia used her nickname… Alessia gave it to her.
Halone finally changed how she held Delphia. The goddess set her down next to Ash who pulled her close. Together they were left staring up at a face that couldn’t exist. Brown eyes, red lips, tears still trailing down massive cheeks. Bigger than any other race in the world. One of the twelve gods and yet… A carbon copy for the women the two of them loved and lost.
“Ash, Del, it’s me. It’s Alessia,” the goddess said. Delphia had already started shaking her head. It wasn’t possible. “Pray… why would I lie? What… what would Halone have to lie to you about?”
“Ash…” Delphia whispered. Their arms around her grew tighter. A few taps on her hand where they held it. Taps that meant no. They knew what she was thinking, they both wouldn’t risk it. Hope had left them both nearly dead too many times now. Claims that people thought they saw her, belief that she had somehow escaped that awful fate.
“Pray, how can I prove I am who I claim? We bought a home in the lavender beds? You both said I was the only paladin you’d place your faith in? The private moments shared in bed after the hardest battles my loves, two warriors of light, fought?”
“Why are you doing this?” Delphia’s voice was wet with her tears. Ash had already crouched to bury their face in her hair. “Is this punishment for coming to fight you alone? For my attempt to kill you? I thought only the Ascians would be this cruel.”
The goddess’s arms surrounded them. They were pulled forward, pressed against her. Another feeling of normalcy. A feeling of home that shouldn’t exist. If Ash wasn’t holding her, still crying against her, she’d fall for it. Think this was just like before, that their lives could go back to the simple days before the final days began.
“Pray believe me. I wanted to come back, but it wasn’t possible. I had to return to my post as Halone…” the goddess said. Ash tapped her again. They believed the goddess, but it only hurt more. Alessia was Halone? The goddess that Delphia looked to for guidance so often. That she begged to bring her love back. That same person was who she wanted back.
“Why did you come to us?” Ash asked. That caught Delphia off guard. They didn’t usually speak up, but then again this was Alessia. “Why stay as long as you did?”
Alessia let them go. She backed away, standing up to her full height. Three times Ash’s height at least. Just as beautiful as when she was a Miqo’te. Somehow more gorgeous standing so tall. Able to carry both of them easily if she wanted. To take them from here, make the decisions about what happened next. Yet there were still tears dripping from those warm brown eyes.
“I fell in love,” Alessia whispered as she bent over to be closer to them. A hand bigger than her head cupped Delphia’s cheek. An identical one holding Ash. This really was her. Their Alessia. The same one who they watched disappear during the final days. She was alive.
“I don’t understand. How are you Halone? One of the twelve… Why were you left weak by the road if you’re a goddess?” Delphia started to ramble. Everything was too much. The woman she loved was alive. Both her partners were alive. The three of them were together. She wanted to kill this woman. Nothing made sense. “How did you disappear during the final days? What… why couldn’t you come back? What let you stay in the first place?”
A massive thumb wiped away her tears. Ash’s head had moved to rest on her own. Her loves, her partners, all around her. Yet nothing would let them go back. Their home in the lavender beds wasn’t right for a goddess. She’d been so cruel to Halone since Alessia disappeared. They didn’t deserve the happy ending.
“The same reason you’re here now. I have to be a part of these fights. The truth you must learn. After… after I might be able to come home.” Alessia leaned forward, her head was big enough to touch both Delphia and Ash at once. A motion that was reassuring and cruel. “I… the me you knew was something I made. I’d been drawn to both of you for a long time. When I saw your adventures I grew jealous.”
“I didn’t think one of the twelve could be jealous of the rest of us,” Ash muttered. There was mirth in their voice, the comment made Alessia laugh. Delphia was lost, by the twelve was Alessia’s laugh beautiful. Even thinking that felt wrong, swearing the beauty by the beauty itself.
“I’m different. I made that person you knew, a young Miqo’te woman who could live with you. My power had been affected by the final days. The body I’d been using was disrupted and faded away.” A sigh followed by those huge hands disappearing. They pulled Delphia and Ash into a hug again. Alessia’s lips by her ears. “It seemed like the feelings I had were the power behind that creation. I couldn’t be her anymore though. I wanted to see you as myself. I had… I had no way of knowing this would even be possible.”
“What next then?” Delphia pushed back, Ash moved with her. They weren’t letting her go. It seemed they were worried she’d collapse. She probably would without their support. “You’re Halone of the twelve. We’re just… we’re just people that others call warriors of light. Is it all over?”
“No.” Alessia’s voice was loud. Similar to her quips during their battle. “Tomorrow, I fight as I’m expected to. I follow my role until it’s done. Then, once this is all over, I’ll come home. I’ll find a way to be with you both again. Not as Halone, not as the Miqo’te woman who had been lost and confused, but as myself. Alessia, a paladin who aids two warriors of light as they save the world time and again.”
“If you can’t come back?” Ash asked. Their weight against Delphia grew, they were worried too. That this dream would turn to a nightmare.
“I’ve spoken with Menphina and Nymeia, you two are my loves and my fate.” Alessia lifted them both up, holding them tightly to her chest. “I will be back once this is settled. Once this business I am needed for is over. I can return then. We can go home and be happy. I make no promises I will be a Miqo’te again, I find I like being able to hold you both like this.”
Alessia laughed again. It caused both her and Ash to laugh along. Alessia was alive. Their grief could be over. Ash even loosened their hold, but that reminded Delphia of one thing. She slid from their grasp and reached a hand up to Alessia. The giant woman crouched until her cheek met Delphia’s small hand.
“I’m sorry,” she whispered. Brilliant brown eyes were shining in front of her. Ash had followed her, their hand pressed on Alessia’s other cheek. “You heard my prayers and curses didn’t you?”
“I… Try as I did I could not avoid them.” Alessia’s voice was a whisper. Ash moved closer, pressing their forehead into her cheek. “I tried not to listen closely, I did not deserve to hear your words.”
“I’m so sorry. The things I’ve said… Pray, let me prove to you I had never meant to hurt you. Once we’re home I shall show you the truth of my feelings.”
“Alessia, I apologize as well. I have made my own cruel prayers.” Delphia jumped hearing Ash say that. They had tried to convince her not to blame Halone and yet they also blamed her. “You did not deserve the anger or pain from our hearts blasting your own ears.”
Tears rolled down the goddess’s face. Flashes of pain and relief in her eyes. Their words must have been akin to swords stabbing through her hundreds of times.
The remainder of the time was spent in silence together. Alessia had eventually shifted to hold them both. Her armor had been taken off and it was like the night before Zodiark. Before their lives changed. It was unbelievable to have her back. Unfortunately they had to leave. Sneaking back to camp where everyone would prepare for the fight the next day.
The trip to the battle was faster with their group. Everyone was anxious to fight the goddess of war. Delphia and Ash were towards the back this time. The fight would be exciting, Alessia promised a true challenge this time. There was a moment when the group reached the battlefield that Delphia worried the night before was a dream. Except she could see the mark on the helm where she’d cracked it. Everyone took their places, Ash squeezed her hand as she went to her spot. Alessia as Halone smiled, Delphia knew it was at them.
“I, the Fury, shall test your strength of spirit.”

I Can't Remember
made a kaijune story hadn't planned to but was encouraged to by folks. hope y'all like it!!
TW: Death, Mentions of death, A little gore, i guess dehumanization, uhh honestly i'm not sure what to trigger this one for so please lemme know if i gotta add any :D
I Can't Remember
I couldn’t tell what was happening. My body felt strange. I flexed my arms as they seemed to get longer. I winced as sharp claws replaced my normal nails. I couldn’t remember what I was doing. I didn’t know how I got here. My body felt like it was growing heavy. I leaned forward and touched something smooth and cold. It felt strange. I curled my fingers, a strange sound filled my ears. I knew this sound…
“The subject is waking up!” Someone called.
Alarms started blaring. I couldn’t tell what was happening. They were so loud. I slammed my hand on the smooth surface in front of me. It started to crack. I felt so weird and strange. I tried to move more, but it felt like I was running out of space. Something was pressing against me, I couldn’t breathe anymore. It felt like water started to fill my lungs. I slammed my hands hearing the cracking sound again.
“We need to stop it. Sedate the subject!”
Was I the one they wanted to sedate? I couldn’t understand what was going on. My body was growing heavier. I couldn’t take it. I started to bash against the smooth surface. The cracking sound grew louder, but I still couldn’t breathe. There were more noises, I couldn’t place them. The space I was in started to grow smaller. I needed to know what was happening. I pulled back the best I could and slammed into the cool surface hearing something shatter.
“Evacuate the area! We’re losing control! Get the guards here now!”
I couldn’t stand the noise. I didn’t know why people kept shouting. I didn’t remember why I was here. I needed to go home, I needed to go back to someone. I felt cool air on my face. I reached towards it. It wasn’t big enough. I could barely get my hands through. I grabbed the edges of the opening. I hissed as something sharp pinched my palms. I pulled them back, I couldn’t see. I needed to fix my hands, but something was wrong. I couldn’t open my eyes. I needed to fix this somehow.
“Lockdown the facility! The subject is bleeding. We don’t know what the blood will do.”
I needed to get out. I felt trapped, the space felt like it was shrinking. I pressed just below the open cool space. The surface started cracking much faster. I placed my other hand next to it and pushed forward. The cracking drowned out the sound of shouts and screams. I felt the surface fall away and followed it down. Something scratched my skin as I fell.
“Quickly, evacuate the area and the town. We need to get everyone out of here as soon as possible!”
I grimaced. I still felt wrong. My body felt much lighter now that I was out of the space. I flexed my fingers, they felt wrong. Almost like they were too long. I clicked against something as my nails… no my claws hit my skin. It was like my skin had become hard suddenly. I reached up to my face and there was something on it. I needed to pull it off.
I couldn’t get a grip. Something was there. I used my claws to make an opening to start pulling it off. There was screaming, I’m not sure whose it was. It might have been mine. I kept pulling the thing off, light pouring into my eyes. It was painful. Something hit me that forced me to pull the thing off my face completely.
“Sir, it didn’t work. The subject’s skin is too hard. None of the safeguards are working and the mask is gone!”
I had a mask so they had to mean me, I was hit by something again. Everything was too bright. I moved my arm, but there were more screams. They sounded quiet even outside of the confining space. I had too much happening, I couldn’t tell what anything was. The light was too much. I needed it to turn off. I slammed my fist down. Something warm and wet wound up there followed by more screams. The light went off after that.
It took a bit of time, but I could finally see. I was in some small laboratory. It was too small, I couldn’t stand even if I tried. I lifted my hand to see what I’d hit. It was red, bugs didn’t bleed red. I leaned closer, barely making out the mangled form of a small thing. I knew that form, it felt bad to see it there. This made no sense. I looked around, the small lab had even small technology.
I narrowed my eyes at the small ones who still had something aimed at me. I couldn’t remember how I got here. I was doing something important. I had somewhere to be. I needed to reach them. Although I didn’t know who they were. My body started to burn, the small space feeling claustrophobic. I knew it was my own scream this time when the small things around me covered their ears.
Something hurt, everything hurt. I was on fire. I felt like I wouldn’t survive. The fire grew on my back and I felt my skin break. I screamed again as something seemed to grow along my spine. I heard shouts get cut off, and turned to see what looked like a tail covered in splatters of red. Bugs shouldn’t bleed. The tail flicked, was it mine?
My body burned again. It knocked the wind out of me, forcing my hands forward to catch me. More mangled screams, more red things. Were they bugs? My mind was getting hazy, I needed help. I dug my nai- claws into the surface below me. It came up in my fists. The soft soil beneath whatever had been below me felt good. It felt right. I looked around more.
“Don’t let the subject’s blood hit the soil!”
I was tired, but in pain. This place was too small. I needed to find someone, I needed to get home. Who was waiting for me? Who did I need to find? I couldn’t think. I needed something, anything.
“Subject 295.” The small thing was speaking. What were these things? “Y-you need to remain calm. We’ll get you back to sleep and everything will be good again. Remember why we’re doing this.”
The voice made my head hurt. It made me angry. I moved my hand, it was so big next to the small thing. I blocked the small thing from escaping. It made me angry, why did it make me angry? Vines came up from the soil I let in. White flowers bloomed along it. Flowers… I was looking for these. I needed them. The small thing said it would help.
“Sleep?” I mumbled. The voice didn’t sound like mine. What did I sound like? The small thing shivered as the flowers came close. I needed these flowers. Why did I need them?
“Y-yes sleep. I-I told you we’d get all the white blossoms if you worked with us. Just go back to s-sleep and you can never worry about them again.”
I got angry. I closed my fingers around the small thing. I needed these flowers. They were mine. I almost missed a different small thing nearby. I leaned close, it was so tiny. What was it? Why did it make me so scared to see it? I was angry, not scared. Something crashed. I looked behind me, I saw… me.
There was a picture of me on something. It was the me before. The me who didn’t have claws or a tail. I stared at the picture, ignoring the small thing pushing against my tightening grip. I hated the small thing. The image I stared at shifted, me with small things? No no not small things, humans. I’m human. I should be that size… The red splatters. The mangled bodies.
“What did you do to me?” I asked. The small thi- the small human surrounded by my hand stuttered and trembled. “What did you do to me!?”
I should be human. I should be a small thing. I shouldn’t see the red splotches on a tail or mangled forms under my hands. I shouted, the place started shaking. A building, a large building. What did they do?What did they do?What did they do?What did they do?What did they do?What did they do?What did they do?What did they do?What did they do?What did they do?What did they do?What did they do?What did they do?What did they do?What did they do?
—----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t know how much later I woke up, but I was alone. The place around me was filled with plants and trees that matched my new height. I started to move, wincing when a bit of rubbly dug into my cheek. The facility that did this was smaller than before. I could crush the remnants with a single foot. I couldn’t see any red splotches like before, but I didn’t look too hard.
I moved carefully, wincing each time I heard that small place break. I didn’t know what they did to me, but I wasn’t happy to do this. Once I was off it I climbed to my feet. The ground felt too far away. I shook off the feeling by focusing back on the small building. I couldn’t believe I’d ever fit inside. I had estimated poorly. It was small enough I may not even notice while walking around. It felt almost like looking at an ant hill…
I wanted to protect it, treat it like a memorial. I didn’t know how I could do that. I just needed some kind of dome. I needed to ensure I couldn’t hurt it and if humans came they could get in. I jumped as vines grew up around the small building. It created a dome that only came up to above my ankle. It was enough though, I’d be careful. At least I hoped I would.
I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t have a place to go and I didn’t know why I wound up here. I knew the white blossoms were important to me. I took a step away from the small place that did this and froze. Screams… more humans? I didn’t know what to do. I wanted to go towards the screams, but I didn’t want to cause more death.
I stiffened as vines shot out from the ground near me. I didn’t know what to think as they seemed to seek out things and then hold them up high. They were brought up to my waist before stopping. Carefully I started to crouch, freezing when I heard the screams again. They were closer now.
I had to squint to see past the thick vines, but I just barely made out the small forms of humans. I fell back, I couldn’t believe it. The vines reacted to me, to my thoughts. They needed to put the humans down, this wasn’t safe. My blood ran cold when the vines reacted again, releasing the humans immediately. I tried to catch them, but my skin was too hard.
I was shaking as I pulled my hands closer. All over I had the small bodies of humans. They weren’t breathing, I could tell now. I don’t know why, but I could make out each face and look of fear from when they fell. I had killed them…
I needed some way to fix this. How could I have done this? It might have been less painful if I had just stepped on them by accident. I tried to control the vines this time. Calling them to take the bodies that I’d caught and the ones I failed to catch. I needed memorials, anything to make up for what I’d done. The vines listened, pulling back to a place somewhere too close for comfort.
I watched in awe as a graveyard erected itself in front of me. There were no names, but markers for each human I’d hurt. I should have listened, I should have gone back to sleep. I stood again, looking over the area that appeared to be mine now. I wished I was smaller. There’s nothing I would be able to do to keep humans safe from me.
I moved carefully attempting to avoid any more humans I could hurt. I managed to find a clearing that felt somehow familiar. I sat down, still able to see for miles. I wish I knew what would be safe for humans near me. The best I could do is try to get better control of those vines. I had to avoid any more deaths because I didn’t know what I could do.
I spent years there, rarely standing from my spot in the clearing. Humans would come to my forest from time to time. I would try not to think or move when they did. A few times I failed and the vines would bring them close to me. I was better at getting them put down safely when that happened. There weren’t many humans who joined the graveyard over that time.
One of the few that actually spoke gave me an idea of my looks. Glowing eyes, one blue and one green. Claws that looked able to black out the sky, but they were somehow soft to touch. Almost like moss. I had spikes on my back that seemed to come out of my spine. That human had been kind, but got hurt while trying to get an idea of just how big I had become. I couldn’t help much, but I got them to a safer spot. I never heard their voice again, I would never know if they survived.
I’d started to be able to sleep. It became easier to avoid hurting humans when I did that. The vines built up around me during those times. I liked the emptiness I gathered during that. I just had to hope no humans came close. I hadn’t seen any in a long time. The humans may finally have stopped coming here. I could lay down and sleep for once. I didn’t have to sit like always. I shuffled around until I was able to place my head down between the facility and the graveyard.
“We shouldn’t be out here still.”
“I’m not leaving until I find a body.”
“It’s been years! We’ll only find skeletons at best.”
“Then I’m not leaving until I find the skeleton. Go back to camp, you know you’re not able to handle hiking around like this. You don’t want to pass out again.”
“I’m not losing you too. I’m staying with you-”
I heard the human start coughing. I hadn’t even expected to hear humans the next time I woke up. I had no idea how long it had been since I’d decided to rest. I listened to the coughing, something about it bothered me more than other times humans came here weak. I heard a scream and my eyes shot open. The vines didn’t act did they?
The humans weren’t close enough to see my eyes. The scream had been from the healthier one tripping. It made me smile. I could hear laughter from them and almost laughed myself. I couldn’t risk that though. I learned my voice was painful at some point. I almost wanted to talk to them though. The laughter felt nice to hear.
“See, this is why I have to be out here too. If I don’t you’ll fall and sprain your ankle.”
“Fine, fine. I know there’s supposed to be a town nearby here.”
“I don’t want to stay there.”
“It’s the only one nearby. Just an hour and then we’ll go back to our camp ok?”
“No…but I know you’re right.”
I panicked a little when I noticed them coming closer. Neither seemed aware of my presence. I almost wanted to see them up close, but I would rather not interfere with them. I’m too dangerous. I did hold my breath as they neared the place my graveyard sat. How would these humans respond? It felt small to me, was it not to them?
“Holy shit…”
“I thought you said this was a town.”
“It was… this is or was… you know where this is.”
“Wait, you don’t think that in there is…”
“I’m going in, I need to know. Stay out here and I’ll tell you if I find a body…well the body we’re afraid of finding.”
I didn’t mean to interact with them. I wanted to stay hidden, but I couldn’t let them see the death I caused. My vines reached out for them before I’d fully thought about it. I heard the weaker one scream out for help. The one who said she would find the body screamed back. I was making the mistake again. My vines brought the two humans close to my face for me to see.
One was petite with green eyes and hair as dark as my claws. Her pale skin felt out of place here in this forest. The other one looked more adventurous. She had brown eyes and hair that looked almost blue. I was shocked, these were the most amazing humans I’d ever seen. I wanted to hear them talk, to see a smile sent my way. I didn’t deserve that though.
“What the hell is that thing? Is that an eye?!” I shifted my gaze slightly, but I couldn’t escape the fear on the face of the brown eyed woman.
“I-I think it is. I-it’s glowing.” Until now I never wondered which eye was which, but I did now. I wanted to know which eye these two were seeing.
“Shit ok ok… I have enough space to get my knife. I-I’ll cut myself out then get you-”
“No! Cutting yourself out will kill you and if it doesn’t it’ll kill me when you cut me down. I um… I have an idea…”
I knew I should put them down. They were so small. I just couldn’t stop looking at them. It felt like something I was missing had finally shown up. I wanted to hear them talk, to see them moving. I flinched when the tail I always forgot about slammed against the ground. The two shook, but didn’t fall thankfully. I wanted them safe, I had to keep these two safe. I watched the green eyed one slip her arms out from the vine’s grip and wave them at me. I tried to show I was focused on her.
“H-hey! U-uh could you put us down? This is kind of high, we'd probably get hurt like this…”
I heard a nervous laugh and pain filled me. I wanted to be able to speak to them. I wanted to tell them it was safe. I had learned how to keep humans safe even if my vines would grab them at times. I wanted to ask their names…
I didn’t get to try and answer. The vines responded to me, forming a platform in front of my eye. The two were dropped there and quickly rushed together. I wondered what it would be like to have someone to care for like that. I need the vines to keep protecting them.
“Oh.. uh this works th-thanks…” She was clearly scared.
The more confident woman stepped forward looking at my eye like she could somehow hurt me. I wanted to speak to them, I wished I could say anything. I didn’t want to scare them. I almost panicked when vines came up near my eyes. If these two were hurt from them I’m not sure I’d recover. Something about them was too important. My vines settled in front of me as jumbled shapes I couldn’t quite understand.
“You… don’t want to hurt us?” The confident one was asking. I hoped I was right, asking the vines to respond to her. I watched their shape change and the weaker one stand up again.
“So you are controlling the vines. Wait… do you know what happened here? To all of the people? Can you tell us?!”
I didn’t want to. I knew they’d be scared. The way they looked at me, tender hope in each gaze. They wanted something from all of this. I wished I could help. I closed my eyes, but told the vines to answer. To tell how the humans died, at least the majority of them. I heard gasps and, for the first time since it happened, I felt tears start.
“You didn’t mean to, did you?” The green eyed girl asked. I wanted her name. I wanted to know who she was. I didn’t think about it and shook my head, I didn’t hear screams though.
“...someone made you, didn't they? Er.. created you?” The brown eyed woman sounded angry. I nodded this time. I felt the little spot slightly as I moved and opened my eyes in fear. I couldn’t imagine hurting them. They both looked upset, I must have done something to them.
“That’s awful. It must be so lonely like this. Can you tell us anything about yourself?”
I shook my head. The green eyed girl was coming closer now. I almost wanted to reach out to her. I couldn’t imagine how it would seem to these two. They both seemed so sincere, it was better than any human I’d met so far. I asked the vines to offer my help. The two looked almost amazed as the words changed.
“Wait, do you really think you could help us?” I chanced a nod again. I felt better when they saw me reacting to their voices. I never understood how I could hear the humans around me.
“We’re looking for someone…”
“They disappeared a long time ago. They lived around here.”
“They had short brown hair back then, it was always close to shaved. They had brown skin too.”
“They had one blue eye and one green. Their face had sharp features.”
“They looked tall compared to other humans.”
My head started to hurt. I’d seen a human like that. A long time ago, when had I seen them? Small… when I didn’t remember. Before I realized I was wrong. The image of me with small things… The image of me the size of humans. Standing with others and being happy. Did I know these humans? Could this be why I wanted them close?
Things felt weird, almost like my control was slipping. My tail was moving, crashing into the ground behind me. The two were stumbling, they needed to be safe. What were their names? I needed their names. I watched the vines changing the word repeating over and over. They looked scared. I don’t want them scared. I want them to be safe with me.
“You want their name?”
I couldn’t tell who spoke now. My head was spinning. I squinted to see them clearer. Green eyes and pale skin… she was coughing. She was sick. I didn’t want her sick. Those white flowers I hadn’t seen since I woke up started to bloom all over. I felt like everything was too bright. I needed her better.
No… the flowers weren’t the reason I was here. I was here for more than that. I needed things. Someone felt trapped because of me… no… because of trying to help me. I used connections to do something. I signed up for something. I hated it, but neither knew. I was supposed to be doing something.
I… I had to be someone else. I couldn’t be me. It was why I didn’t tell anyone. I came here… I knew here… I lived here. Where have I been?
“Please stop!”
Scared shouting. No, I didn't want that. I needed that not to happen. I moved, I had to sit up. I started moving. There was more screaming. I needed them safe. I watched the vines grow around their platform. They were walled in now. I continued moving trying to be careful. I couldn’t think like this. I watched as the two seemed to disappear. Even the platform looked miniscule now.
Once I was sitting up I had no idea how I ever heard them. Had I hurt other humans without knowing it? I couldn’t think about it. I brought my hand close, and I heard screams again. Something let me hear despite my size. I slipped it under the platform, it only took up the tip of my finger.
I started to bring it close slowly. I’d seen the response to humans when I moved them too fast. I brought them up to my eye again. They’d made it to the center now, I needed my head clear. I needed to know more. I wanted to show them what I thought I knew.
If I’d been less used to the vines I might have jumped when they brought the remnants of the facility to me. I wasn’t as in control, but I just needed them safe. I brought the women close to it and the vines formed a small bridge. They opened a way for the two. I wanted to talk. I wanted to say something, to tell them anything. I flinched as vines covered my mouth. I never had this happen before.
“Hi,” I tried. I had to see if it would work. The two didn’t show pain. They just stared in awe. I needed to know more. I knew them… Their names were so close… I didn’t want them to feel scared.
“So you can talk?” I nodded, they were safe in their walls now. I wouldn’t hurt them… My vines wouldn’t hurt them. The vines knew more, they saw through me. Brown eyes filled with fear were on me for so long. Then it changed, almost too fast in a way. I kind of liked that.
“My voice… It's very loud. I didn’t want to hurt you.” It felt strange to talk. I hadn’t even tried since the first disaster. I never knew the vines could spell things for me either. Green eyes filled with a kind acceptance drilled into me. She stood up and I got one of the smiles I wanted.
“You’re kind. I don’t know what happened here, but you aren’t bad. Do you think we could help you in any way?”
I was shocked. Help me? I was a monster even though I knew these two. Even though I wanted to hold them in my hands without the protection of the vines. I wanted the memories I couldn’t see. At the edge of my mind I could feel their skin against my own. I was too much now. I wanted to hold them.
“No… Inside should have answers.”
The two shared a look and the brown eyed woman ran across the bridge inside. My vines created walls as she went, I hadn’t even felt the anxiety yet. I wanted to look at the other woman closer. I knew I shouldn’t, I knew I was too much. My vines decided for me. They surrounded the green eyed one and brought her up and closer to me. It was like they wanted me to remember. She somehow looked calm despite everything.
“Just saying… I won’t hate you if you killed them. They would have been nice to you. Probably pointed out your eyes are the…same… They’re even… on the same sides…”
Could I really be the one these two want to see? I’m terrifying and huge. If I am, they'll be upset. I wanted to remember though, I needed to remember. It was on the tip of my tongue. I knew them… I need to remember.
“Give her back to me!” The other came back. She seemed angry. “I saw what you did… You are a monster. What are you planning!?”
“Al-”
“No.”
I don’t know when, but my vine mask was gone. My voice came out full force and both were in pain. The one closer to me started to stumble. It hurt her so badly. My blood ran cold as she fell. I needed her safe.
“Delphia!”
I don’t know how, but I knew her name. I faintly heard the other one call her name too. I needed her safe. I brought my hand up, somehow I had to be safe. I held my breath as she landed. The images of the first time I held humans started to flash through my mind. She would be dead because I was as hard as stone. I was dangerous, I was a monster… I wasn’t who they knew anymore.
“Del! Del please be ok! I can’t lose you! Del!”
“Alessia…” She froze. I knew them… I loved them. I came here for them. Money to help Alessia who had been helping me since I left home. A special flower that only grew here and could help Delphia’s constitution. I wanted to help them both. I came here, I came home to protect my life with them. My father got me a job, but it wasn’t what I thought. He sold me to a weird facility that wanted the flowers I’d discovered and a local to test on. I didn’t even know how long I was asleep until the day I woke up.
“No way…” Alessia was stunned. I kept my focus on her, I didn’t want to see Delphia’s body. I didn’t want to see how I killed her. I closed my eyes and swallowed before looking down at her. I begged for the mask to come back. I want to be safe. It didn’t grow from the ground like before, just forming from my face instead.
“You’re alive… Delphia.” I whispered. I brought my hand close to the platform and tried to hold it steady. I expected her to climb off, but Alessia ran off and jumped on. It was amazing to watch her run over my hand. It reminded me of the ants I would move around in the gardens. “Let me help..”
She actually froze. She looked up at me, for once I felt lucky to see the small faces so clearly. She was smiling and expectant. Everything I knew about her. I brought my other hand close and laid a claw next to my finger. She nodded and climbed on quickly. She was laughing. I loved her laugh so much. I waited until she stopped moving to start moving my finger closer to Delphia.
“It’s like moss… I thought it would feel more like marble or steel.”
I smiled at her. I never knew what my teeth looked like now. They must be sharp and terrifying. I didn’t even know if she’d seen them. Delphia was sitting up now. Once my claw got close she grabbed it as Alessia climbed off. I could pull away so easily, but they weren’t afraid. I could feel my smile grow wider.
“You have shark teeth now. I wouldn’t have thought of that with you.”
Delphia and Alessia. I would give up everything for them. I did give up everything for them. They didn’t know what I did. I almost didn’t want them to. I didn’t want them to know how close I came to losing myself. The red splotches that had been on my tail that I didn’t understand. If I stayed like that I might have hurt them.
“Is it really you?” I nodded. The two shared a look. I wanted to know what I missed. I wanted to share looks again. I couldn’t though. I was dangerous to them now. I jumped a bit when I saw a tear land near them. I pulled my hand higher and away from any drops, they were dangerous too.
“Ash!” They shouted it in unison. I started to sob. I needed to stop. I had to be in control. I was dangerous, I was a monster. I wasn’t… I wasn’t Ash anymore.
“Not anymore.” I curled my fingers on the hand holding them slightly. I felt the ticklish feeling of their movement as I did. Small things were too much.
“Of course you are. You’re just a bit taller.” Delphia was smiling. I didn’t have to look to know. She always smiled at me. That was why I loved her. She had a smile that seemed to cut through anything.
“Don’t be dumb Ash. We’re here now. I can go back in and I’ll find something so we can fix this. We aren’t leaving here without you.” Alessia was almost too optimistic. There wasn’t a way to fix this. I could never fix this. I was a monster now. I didn’t need her to pretend for me. I was always so curious about this boundless optimism, the weakness she let me see meant so much.
“No, you’re leaving. I’m too dangerous. I don’t… you’re not joining the others.”
“Ash, you’ve been gentle with us this whole time. You’re not dangerous, not to us.”
“You know how I am. I’ll just make my way back here without you knowing. That’s way more dangerous. You know Del is gonna follow me.”
“Look what happens when one of you goes off without me. You become some giant monster. At least you still have a cute smile.”
I was gentle as I pulled my claw free. Delphia looked upset I did, but I had to check. I pressed my hand to my face, the vines were gone. I was quieter now, but the vines were gone. I don’t know how I was doing it. I wanted to do more. I wanted to hold them close. I wanted to keep them safe. I couldn’t though. There was something else I could do.
I tried to grow the vines from me like that mask. I focused on the hand in front of me. I watched them grow to cover my skin before disappearing. I bit my lip before reaching towards them again. Carefully treating them more fragile than anything I ever touched before. I slowly pressed my finger down on the two of them. I could feel as they stiffened, but neither screamed.
“Um Ash, what are you doing?” Alessia was fine. It wasn’t hurting them.
“The vines change you don’t they? This finger, it’s softer than the hand we’re on.” Delphia was always oddly observant. I wasn’t crushing her.
I was still moving slowly as I pulled my finger away. I flattened my vine encased hand then tilted the other. They were more nervous, but still seemed to trust me as I moved. They landed on my palm and I could feel them so much more. It was almost like the vines were a part of me. I pulled the hand with them in it close before stepping away.
I was taking them to a place I had seen once. It was higher than everywhere else. It was closer than I realized, only a few steps, but they would be at my knee now. A lot better than the ground. I called on the vines again and the facility was brought close almost too quickly. I was gentle as I slipped my palm underneath it. At least three of my finger’s widths away I placed the building down. They looked at me with big smiles.
“I’ll let us try…”
They both smiled before waving me closer. I made a face that received two much more annoyed looks. I tried focusing those vines that came directly from me again to cover my whole body. I was coated quickly, even faster than my hand. I felt lighter than I usually did.
I started to move, they sat before I did too much. I couldn’t believe they were so calm already. I slipped onto my stomach. Then I put my elbow on the ground and used a hand to support my face. They both seemed completely awed by it. That awe was replaced by joint annoyance where they waved me closer. I relented knowing full well how stubborn the two were. I rested my nose against the surface they were on.
The two seemed satisfied and climbed to their feet. It was astounding how clear each movement was to me. I never thought about it before, but if I couldn’t see this I would never be able to stay near. I was still nervous, but I would listen to their demands. If I listened in the first place I would still be human. I gasped when I felt the two small bodies pressing against my skin. I never thought I’d be this close to someone again.
“I missed you Ash.” Delphia was quieter than before.
“Welcome home, we’re not letting you go again Ash.” Alessia sounded close to tears.
I had a bit of confidence thanks to how they acted. I brought my hand close and gently wrapped it around them. It felt odd holding such small people against my nose. I wouldn’t give it up. I felt alive for the first time since I woke up. As long as I can keep them safe I’d be happy. I knew I had something I needed and I finally found it.
“I missed you too…”

Blissful Dreams
More Kaiju Ash stuff!! They had a really nice dream.
Blissful Dreams
I sat up with a start. Falling asleep hunched over was unlike me. It was dangerous for them. At least I thought that until I looked around me. I was in a kitchen, a normal human sized kitchen. With a table that was bought from a low cost furniture website. There were three chairs around it, mine wobbled as I shifted in it. I’d taken that one so the others wouldn’t be distracted.
I took in the room slowly. Cabinets, a few with handles that didn’t match. A mess of dishes leftover, Delphia wouldn’t let us clean them when it was her turn even when her health was bad. I climbed to my feet, expecting the vision to fall apart. It didn’t, I was standing in the kitchen I hadn’t seen in so long, that I barely remembered.
I rushed to the toaster, grabbing it in my shaky hands. I was me, I was human. My eyes weren’t glowing, my skin was just skin. I took my hand off the toaster, no claws and no weird coating to my skin on them. I looked over my shoulder, the tail I frequently forgot existed was gone too. I nearly fell to my knees, I was human. I prayed that this was the reality, not that nightmare.
“Ash, what are you doing?” Alessia said. I turned around, I couldn’t believe my eyes. She was there, she was there and I wasn’t staring down at my feet to see her. She was rubbing her eyes, she must have just woken up. “It’s early, Del’s still asleep. If you’re cleaning up we better share the blame. I’ll help.”
I walked over to her, admiring the woman I could see. The woman who was looking up at me with a smile I never thought I’d see this clearly again. She looked at me with a kindness I had always adored. She met my eyes and it felt amazing to know she could see me without an issue. I took her face in my hands. I saw the brief confusion on her face, but I didn’t care. I leaned forward slowly until I was only a twitch from contact. I felt her breath on my skin, a normal feeling I never thought I’d miss.
“Ash, is everything-” she started. I lost myself hearing her voice and knowing the whispers were for me. I captured her lips and kissed her deeply. She made a noise, but quickly returned it. The taste was different, nothing like the hints left when I kissed them in that dream. I didn’t stop until she started to pull away. I looked at her panting for breath, I loved her so much. “Well that’s a way to wake up. I know you’re leaving soon, but we’re going to wait for you.”
I had things to say. It must be just before I leave, the dream was maybe warning me. Telling me not to go. I wouldn’t, I’d stay right here. Before I could tell her we heard faint coughing down the hall. I looked in her eyes, the worry clearer than I’d seen in so long. I put a hand on her head before walking off. Delphia was sick right now. I pushed the slightly open door to see her sitting up in bed recovering from a coughing fit.
“Ash, did I wake you up with my cough? I’m fine it was just from swallowing wrong I swear,” she smiled. I knew she was lying. She always lied about her cough. I walked in and kneeled in front of her. I was looking up at her, my neck was craned. I never thought this feeling would be quite so wonderful. She smiled at me, a smile I could see with clarity I adored. “Maybe I’ll let you help me, but only because you’re going to leave soon.”
I didn’t say a word. I put my hands on her cheeks, felt them heat up under my touch. She leaned forward without me having to try and force it. I started the kiss, soft at first. The feeling of her lips on mine, meeting with mine not a small spot of them, made me lose myself. I deepened the kiss, taking in her taste as I selfishly sought what I’d missed. A cough started to break through that made me let her go. Once she’d stopped I captured her lips again.
I felt arms wrap around me. It was enough to make me cry as Alessia pressed her cheek against mine. I wanted this. I needed this. I wanted to have these feelings, tastes, places back. She sighed in my ear, Delphia giggled.
“No fair, I only got one kiss this morning,” Alessia pouted. Delphia tapped my shoulders and I relented. She slid off the bed to kneel on the ground with me. I pulled her into a tight hug.. I placed a hand on Alessia’s other cheek as I leaned into her. The women I loved, a size I could show how I feel and not hurt them.
“You’re crying Ash, what’s wrong?” Delphia whispered. I shook my head, I couldn’t tell them. I couldn’t risk this being the dream. I wanted that world where I’d hurt so many to be a nightmare. I felt the arms around me tighten.
“I know you’re supposed to leave today, but you don’t have to. We’re fine like this, there’s plenty of things to do. We don’t need anything else.” Alessia nuzzled me as she spoke.
“I won’t go,” I whispered. Both of them made a noise like they didn’t hear. I felt the tears on my face as I realized they didn’t hear me. I can speak normally. “I’m not going, I’m staying here.”
Delphia slid her arms around me and leaned into my chest. Alessia pulled me tighter against her. I cried more, I missed this. The feeling of holding and being held. I loved them so much, they were safe with me like this. We were safe and human together. I didn’t want this to end, I needed this not to end.
“Ash, you’ve been weird this morning. Was it a dream?” Delphia asked. I nodded, the words to describe it didn’t exist. The way my mind worked in that dream didn’t even feel real.
“Tell us about it. I bet I can scare off whatever bothered you in it,” Alessia promised. She leaned into me more. I rested my head on top of Delphia’s. I shook my head, I couldn’t tell them. “Well if you change your mind we’re always here.”
Her arms loosened and started to leave me. I grabbed her hands in a panic. “Don’t go.”
“Ash…” They said it together. The arms that started to leave me came back tighter. Slowly Alessia guided us to lay on the floor together. I wanted this for longer than I realized. The feeling of them with me, holding me. The feeling of holding them in my arms.
“If…” They both made a noise, they were listening. “The dream… In it I was something awful, I’d done awful things. I… It only happened because I went… because I left today.”
“Maybe it was protecting you, reminding you it’s ok to stay. Besides I bet none of those awful things were on purpose.” Delphia moved to look up at me. She freed one of her hands to reach up to my face. I felt her wipe away tears. “If dream us were mad at you or hated you then it was just a nightmare.”
“She’s right.” Alessia’s arms tightened again. I let a sob escape me. “Nothing would make us stop loving each other. Forever and after, right?”
I laughed, I laughed loudly. I had forgotten all about that in the dream. That monster version of me didn’t remember so much. The day I moved in, we said vows just to each other. We’ll be together, we’ll love and accept each other, forever and after. Both women joined in my laugh. I couldn’t remember a time as that monster that I was this happy.
Ash!
I jumped, neither said my name. I swore I heard it.
“Oh right, Rhys gave me some strawberry syrup, I can make pancakes today,” Delphia laughed.
Ash wake up!
“He’ll be jealous, you’re teaching Vincent the recipe right?”
You need to wake up!
“He hates the idea, but he’s doing it. Swears it’s not because he wants to make Rhys something special on his birthday.”
Ash! Ash!
I was awake, I was at home. I was where I belonged. I tightened my arms around Delphia, she responded in kind. I loved them both so much.
“Maybe we could ask Vitus and Dabria to water the plants and go on a trip since you’re staying home Ash.”
Ash, we need you to wake up! You need to-
I snapped my eyes open as Alessia’s scream started. I watched her small body falling, my vines responded before I could think. She was caught on a cushioned platform just within my sight. I felt my heart race as I realized the reality was the monster. Alessia fell from the small… the high cliff. It was a massive drop to them, I had to remember that. I felt my eyes widen as Delphia jumped off to join her. My vines created a safe slide down for her.
I watched as they helped each other stay standing as they looked at me. I never had dreams quite so real. I didn’t know why they were struggling to stand. I heard the thumping over my own pounding heart. My tail… the only part of my change I could forget about. I took a deep breath to calm myself down. The thumping slowed until it finally stopped. I frowned as I looked over the two miniscule women.
“Well now we know you’ll wake up if we call out to you,” Alessia laughed. I grimaced. Delphia came closer and held an arm out to me.
“You’re crying… Your tears have a faint glow too. It’s the color of your other eye though. Green cries blue, blue cries green. Was it a nightmare?” Delphia said. I swallowed the lump in my throat to try and talk. I could still feel them around me. I wanted to hold them again, to see them nearly my height, not like ants. I shook my head.
“I…” I started. They didn’t flinch, they didn’t panic. I knew my voice was louder than usual. They accepted it. “It was a good dream, a very good dream.”
I closed my eyes, that was enough. They didn’t need to know the pain I felt waking up. I moved one of my arms, a shadow had already covered them from just that. I brought it close, they didn’t react to it. I pressed my finger against them. They leaned against me, that feeling from my dream felt so real. I missed it so much.
“Ash, what aren’t you telling us?” Alessia asked. She knew I wouldn’t say it easily. She stepped closer to the edge, looking at me with a face I wished was even clearer. I wished it wasn’t something about being this monster that made me able to see her and Delphia clearly. That I hadn’t almost forgotten what humans were… that I was one.
“Ash, please just tell us. You know we’re here for you-” Delphia tried.
“Forever and after,” I mumbled. I saw the smiles I loved when I said that. I curled my finger slightly and pressed into them more. “I miss holding you… being held. Our lives. You should go home, forget me.”
I watched as they whispered to each other. They should go back to their lives, the ones they can build without me. I was this monster, not them. I didn’t even know if anyone else knew about this trip. If someone else might come after them. I’d honestly forgotten all of the others, the lives that interlocked with our own.
I pulled my hand away from them. I felt their hands try to grab me, but I knew it would be better to pull away. I could send them to the entrance to the forest, I could block it off. Stop humans from ever coming here again. I froze when their hands grabbed my claw and let me drag them along.
“Nope, we’re not leaving. We do need to do something so you can have those dreams while we try to fix this,” Alessia smirked. I shook my head a bit, that wasn’t an option.
“Ash, can’t you reinforce the lab with your vines? Then we’ll have a safe spot while you have those dreams. We can’t make them real, but you should be able to have them without worrying,” Delphia smiled. I could, but there was no promise they’d stay. We didn’t know if it reached other areas too. “Then again, we should probably test cutting your vines. It wouldn’t be worth it if it hurts you, we don’t even know how they react when cut.”
I decided to sit up. Slowly I pushed myself up off the ground. The two women held tightly to my finger as I moved. It was a bit weird to sit hunched over so they could keep my finger with them. I told the vines to bring them higher, it didn’t stop until they were at my chest. I decided I’d run my own test, slipping two fingers below the vines they sat on. I lifted my finger up and gently tugged to free their grip.
Once I was sure they had let go I pulled my hand away completely. There they were, ant sized humans on my fingers. The platforms the vines made were always large enough to sit on one of my own fingertips. I knew it was my own selfishness. I wanted to hold them even when it was hard. Usually the vines connected to me when I held the platforms I made. This time I grabbed the strand instead. I slowly dug my claws into the thick vegetation until it had ripped apart. I didn’t even feel it.
Carefully I moved to set them down. I pushed their platform off of my finger. It was free from my control, I could feel the loss. It was minor, it didn’t change anything. I knew it was gone though. I tried to call for it, to remove it from them, but it couldn’t be reached. I shifted my gaze to the small broken building. It was still hard to believe I ever fit in there, despite the women staring at me.
I called vines to surround it and lift it from the ground. I closed my eyes, asking for it to reinforce the building. Once I felt sure they listened I opened my eyes again. The small building had spots filled with my vines. The spots I’d destroyed as I grew. I grabbed the vine linking it to me and slowly tore it free once more. This one I felt more, not enough for it to matter. I carefully set the building down before releasing a sigh.
“Ash!” Delphia and Alessia called to me. I leaned closer, dreading that all encompassing shadow of mine. The glow of my eyes seemed stronger lately and worked as spotlights for the two.
“Did that hurt?” Delphia asked.
“Don’t just do things! Talk to us. Forever and after, right?” Alessia whined. I knew they wanted to know my thoughts. I knew I should tell them, but it hurt. It hurt to know how unsafe I was. All the things I couldn’t do again. I closed my eyes again, picturing that home I would never see again. Two gasps pulled me from my mind.
I stared in awe at the small home that formed in front of them. I leaned forward, the house already moving to be high enough I could see. The memories I had mimicked with vines right in front of me. I couldn’t see as much detail as I would have liked, but it was enough. I repeated the process of separating the vines from me one last time. This time, I felt pain. A pain of acceptance that my life wouldn’t ever reach a place like this again. I slid the home off my fingers, in front of the two women I knew should leave. The two I selfishly wanted to stay with me.
I watched them walk in, I could hear their awe. I just watched where I knew they were. I wished I could be there with them. I wished I could hold them. That image in my mind hurt my heart. Slowly I shifted to lay on my side once more. I wouldn’t be able to do much either way. Suddenly a feeling spread over me, one I never thought I’d feel again. I felt fresh tears spill from my eyes.
“Ash!” Alessia was breathless as she called me. “Did you feel that?!”
I gave a look that said all she needed. She ran back to the home. Next thing I knew I felt a light kiss on my cheek, something I knew was impossible. I raised a hand to my face, touching the spot looking for some understanding. I heard excited shouts from the house my vines made. Finally Delphia and Alessia were out in the open again. They stared at me with smiles.
“I don’t know what you were thinking, but in the house vines that looked like you appeared. I hugged it, then Alessia kissed its cheek. You… you could feel it,” Delphia explained. I gasped. “You may not be able to feel us the same, but we have a way to hold you now. I miss it too, Ash.”
“We both do. I’m going to find some way to fix this in that lab. A lot more was still fine in there than we thought. We’ll figure this out, even if we don’t we’re here for good Ash. Forever and after.”
I smiled, “...forever and after…”

64 please :-)
Finally got to work on prompts again! Here's 64 we get some more demon ash time!! Prompt List
Making a Deal
Things had been peaceful since Ash let the humans sleep on their chest. The two were smiling and laughing more often. Sending looks their way now and again. It made the reality hard for them. If they didn’t make a deal with the two, they’d lose them eventually. They couldn’t bring themself to admit it to the humans. Dropping off whatever they needed and walking away continued to be their best option.
A strange part of them felt out of place with Alessia and Delphia. Two small women happily together, but watched over by a being dozens of times their sizes. They were reluctant to even stay close enough to overhear the two. At the same time, Ash desperately wanted to be able to speak with them. They knew they didn’t want to lose their time with these humans. They knew they wouldn’t be able to take a deal that took either’s life.
“Ash!” Alessia called. They tried to ignore it. The tone didn’t sound like she needed anything right away. If they were lucky she’d give up. They’d continue listening from their dark corner, deciding when to finally give up on this arrangement destined for misery. “I know you heard me Ash! Come here, please!”
They didn’t move. They didn’t let their wings flex or their tail twitch. It wasn’t a hard act. They always had to pretend not to hear them. To miss when Delphia would quietly cry over losses she didn’t deserve. When Alessia would train with her weapons, talking about the dangers she needed to face. They were that danger, they were the one that showed Delphia the loss. The feelings the two had brought to their stone heart would never be returned.
“Del, you try,” Alessia moaned. That made Ash pause. They curled their hand into a fist, the idea of a deal had likely crossed the women’s minds.
“Ash! Can you come here? We wanted to talk to you about something,” Delphia called. They didn’t move at first. “Should we go to them?”
“Hmm…” They started to move a bit. Turning their head slightly towards the two women. Alessia was looking over the edge of the table. “We might be able to climb down.”
They stood quickly. Their full weight hitting the ground. The table holding the women shook, but they two stayed safe. Ash slowly made their way to the table. Each step was their full weight. They preferred the fear at this point, it was easier. With no deal they’d be alone soon enough. Human lives were short.
Once they reached the table they hesitated. Both women looked up with no fear. They found the trust endearing. It hurt more knowing this wouldn’t last. Not even their selfishness would keep the humans with them. Slowly they began to crouch. The two did stumble back. It almost hurt. They stopped with their eyes nearly level to the two miniscule women. The confidence when they approached was missing.
“Yes?” they asked. The two were obviously shaken. The hesitance in their body language was painful to see. Carefully they brought their hands up. Using one claw from each hand they held up the heads of Alessia and Delphia. “You don’t have to be scared of me.”
They were surprised at their own words. Fear was important for demons. The entire race lived with fear as a source of entertainment. They didn’t want to scare the women in front of them. Humans had always seemed rude and crass until these two. Now, Ash would fight the royalty of their home to protect these two. It was why the idea of a deal hurt; at the end humans and demons just used each other. The two had each other and needed to be free of them.
Small hands found purchase on their fingers. Delphia smiled at them, the one they wanted sent their way so often. Alessia’s face softened. Her smile was small, but just as amazing to Ash. They tried to pull away, but the small hands dug into their skin. It would be easy to ignore, but they couldn’t abandon the part of them that wanted to be near the two.
“I wanted to ask you something,” Alessia started. There was something nervous in her voice. They narrowed their eyes. “If we made a deal, what happens to you?”
“To me?” they murmured. She nodded despite the claw beneath her chin. For the first time they worried their claws could hurt someone. “It would depend. If the deal takes your lives I would go back to hell with your souls. If it leaves you both alive, I would stay with you to make sure nothing interferes with the deal properly reaching its conclusion. At the end you’d return to hell with me either way.”
“So, you’d stay with us no matter what?” The hope from Alessia made them smile. It was a foolish hope, at the end the humans would leave. Over the next few days they would finally seek out a suitable place for the two to live, without them. A simple nod was their answer.
“What if the deal was to experience life together?” Delphia asked. Ash tilted their head, that was a new one.
“I would need a definition to answer that.” Delphia stepped away, pacing became something they noticed she did often. Especially when describing things to Alessia.
“So if we made a deal that you’d help us live the lives we couldn’t. But we stay young, alive, and healthy… We stay until we’re ready to leave.” They bit back a sigh. Even in that case they’d take their souls. It wasn't an option. “Until we’re ready to go to hell with you.”
They ripped their hand away and stared at the two women. The reality of hell, of what selling a soul meant. That the idea was to devour them. Ash wouldn’t, they wanted to keep the two with them. Others would be tempted, the royalty would be tempted. Although… until they’re ready would give them time to gather power.
“Do you realize what happens to you when I take your souls?” they said. The softer tone they used to speak with them was forgotten. They needed to make it clear they weren’t human. They stood to their full height and slammed a hand down on the table. Both women fell off their feet, but Ash continued. They dragged their hand closer and curled their fingers around the humans in front of them. “Do you realize you become nothing but a snack to me then? That I devour or torture you for eternity? Do as I see fit with you both?”
Silence was all they received. It was what they expected. A reminder of just who stood before the humans was important. Demons would always want to devour their souls. They’d never be free in hell. Ash would have to be with them always. There would be the risk of others deciding to try and lay claim. They’d have to fight, royalty would be interested. The current queen would be the only one safe to go near them.
“Then we just need to never be ready to go to hell, right?” Alessia said. Ash lost their composure for the first time they could remember. They fell to their knees and stared at the insane humans. “I mean… you would stay too right?”
“Alessia!” Delphia whispered. Her face was bright red. “We just… you can’t stay here like we are now forever right? If we make a deal that keeps us alive for a long time, you’ll stay too. With us?”
“You realize at the end a deal means you’re mine… a meal to increase my own power.” They needed this to be clear. Human souls were to make a demon stronger. Ash had no need for power anymore, but they needed the two to remember who they were.
“We don’t have to be scared of you, right?” They sighed and closed their eyes. It didn’t seem they would change their minds. That just meant Ash would protect them. They’d protect them from everything; demons, humans, anything that could be a threat to the lives they want to live.
“Do you both truly want this deal?”
“Yes.”
Alessia and Delphia spoke together. Ash gave in, their own end would include protecting the women. They set their hands down, trapping the two between their fingers. They channeled their power, the glow of their eyes as they opened bathed the women in a subtle light. They wanted to live safely and until they were done. Ash started off sharing their own immortality with the two. Next they used their magic to find a place suitable for the three of them to live. A small spot at the edge of town near a city. The home they were in changed on the outside as they moved to the new location.
The next step was their disguise. It had been a long time since they last locked themself into a human form. They drew on the souls of the two in order to create their form. It needed humans because it had none of the usual weaknesses of demons. Pain racked their body as they began to change. Their wings burned away and their horns disintegrated. Slowly their body compressed to a smaller and smaller form.
“Ash!” Delphia shouted. Her hands were on their palm. A deal was being made, their concentration meant nothing. As they shrank, so did their surroundings. The home would match what was needed, rooms for each of them. Anything a human needs that a demon may not think of. The world wouldn’t question the two unaging, unchanging human women.
Pushing a bit of extra magic into the deal, they changed faster. Fast enough the pain nearly made them lose consciousness. They were panting by the time they realized their hands were on a table without two humans between them. A slight panic hit them before two sets of arms wrapped around their waist.
“We have a deal… You’ll be able to live human lives until there is agreement to come with me to hell.”
Alessia and Delphia looked up at them. Faces of awe that slowly morphed to joy. They buried their faces against Ash. Laughter bubbled up, they even started to smile along with them. They would just enjoy this while it lasted. The little selfish rule of this deal that wasn’t clear. Agreement required all three of them. They had no idea what would happen now, but they could keep their humans. They’d make sure they were happy.

"Being caught standing under the mistletoe," with Alessia 😌 any AU where she's the big (new or old) would be lovely.
Used the au where Ash is a borrower in Alessia and Delphia’s house. Ty for the ask oz <3
Prompt from here
Mistletoe Traditions
Alessia grinned as she watched Ash. They were looking over the plants Delphia had been growing for the holiday season. Although when they grabbed the leaves of mistletoe in their hands she hatched a little scheme. She hoped they knew of the traditions surrounding the festive plant.
She waited a bit longer before approaching them. At first she’d been nervous about the weight of her steps when she walked. About her weight in general when they saw her. Ash seemed to actually prefer when she was less careful. She had started to make a point to keep her steps a bit heavier than she would usually if it was the two of them.
Ash turned to face her once she reached the table. A small smile graced their face. She let herself fall into a nearby chair, chuckling when she noticed the hint of a blush on their dark skin. They’d seemed reserved at first, but after a few weeks it was easy to read them. Alessia set her chin on the table. Ash stepped forward to meet her.
“Were you hoping this would happen?” she asked as she grabbed the mistletoe and held it over them. They tilted their head. She laughed a bit, moving a little closer. “You know this is mistletoe right?”
“I see,” they muttered.
Her eyes widened when their small hands reached up to rest near her fingers. They had no idea how much each move they made affected her. How often she wanted to scoop them up and hold them close. She knew the plant was all they were thinking about. The times she’d been trapped with their small fingers brushing over her skin absentmindedly were too many to count. This was just another, despite the way it made her skin burn.
“I’ve heard humans talk about this,” they started. She bit her lip as tiny hands moved to rest on the center of her palm. “What does ‘being caught standing under the mistletoe’ mean?”
“Well…” she moved even closer, the distance between the two was a twitch from being closed. “There’s two meanings, I can show you one.”
“O-ok.” She smiled.
They never stopped being nervous when she was this close. She and Delphia had been vocal about wanting Ash in their relationship with the small person. They’d been a bit reluctant, but had seemed happy since the discussion. She wanted to be a bit selfish, to show more of how much she loved Ash to them.
“Close your eyes and face me.”
Ash did as she instructed. Alessia took a few seconds to just admire the slightly blurry person. Each day they trusted her was a dream. She wanted them to feel more of what was in her heart. To know that she loved everything about them, just as much as the woman who was her size. She took a deep breath and watched their clothes moving. She couldn’t hesitate forever.
Finally she closed the distance between them. Releasing the mistletoe, she pressed her palm into Ash’s back. They stiffened at first. She nearly backed away, but the firm body relaxed against her. She pressed them more firmly into her palm. Alessia froze when she felt Ash start to move. The small sensation against her own lips had her gasp. The deep chuckle beneath her just encouraged her to keep going.
Alessia had no idea how long she’d kept Ash pressed against her. When she pulled back she watched that small chest heaving. For a second she thought she’d gone too far, but bright eyes staring up at her knocked that thought away. Ash had a grin that she’d never seen on them before. She loved it, but it did make her curious.
“Ash, Alessia,” Delphia’s voice from the doorway made her smirk. Alessia leaned forward pressing her lips against Ash’s chest.
“That would be the other meaning of ‘being caught standing under the mistletoe’” she murmured. Ash shivered beneath her. She heard the heavy sigh of the woman behind her.
“Ash, you could have waited until I put the mistletoe up in the house.”
“What?” Alessia wanted to pull away, but the deep chuckle against her lips kept her still. The small fingers pressing against her face made sure she didn’t change her mind.
“I… might have asked Delphia earlier what it meant too,” they said.
“Well… maybe you need to be shown again anyway.”
Alessia kissed them again. She hadn’t expected a similar scheme from them, but she was happy to play along as many times as they wanted.

Showing Feelings
Hey here's day one of gt july. I may have fallen in love with kaiju ash.... they get to have a moment with their tiny partners.
Showing Feelings
I had been practicing for weeks now. I just wanted to do something for the two of them. After everything, they still smile at me and laugh. They act like nothing has changed even when I’m something dangerous. I heard a bit of laughter. Alessia was telling Delphia something insane again. I smiled, looking over them. I would need them to trust me… I don’t know how ready I am to find out if they do.
“Ash!” Alessia called. I leaned closer slowly. I shadowed them completely. If I wanted, I could keep them in darkness all the time. Both of them smiled up at me like nothing was wrong. I couldn’t believe they just accepted what I did. I was a force of nature and they both acted like I wasn’t any different than the day I left. “Did you hear any of what I said?”
I shook my head. I hadn’t been listening at all. I was thinking about how small they were, how what I wanted to do could prove they were scared. I didn’t think I should follow through with my idea, but I had to. I don’t know why, but I just wanted to show my feelings were the same. I leaned a bit closer, one careless move and they would be gone. I thought of the fruits I’d practiced with, it hadn’t been hard to hold them.
“What’s going on?” Delphia asked. She always saw through me. She could tell when I had something to hide. It was like she still honestly saw me for the human I’d been so long ago. I closed my eyes, seeing them felt so hard at times. “Is everything ok? Is there something we can do?”
I shook my head a little. I barely opened my eyes and could see how a small movement affected them. They had stumbled together, but still looked up at me without fear. I almost wanted fear to finally come through. I moved slowly, bringing a hand near them. Smaller than even the tip of my finger, but the most important part of my world. They’re the only reason I’m still able to see humans as they are. If I hadn’t seen the picture of me with them… I don’t want to think of who I would be.
“Can I try something?” I whispered. Both of the women I loved placed a hand on my finger near them and nodded. I leaned just a little closer, I could trap them without trying. “Do you trust me?”
“Of course,” Delphia sounded almost offended I asked. I smiled a little, she never wanted me to doubt her. Alessia slapped the bit of my finger near her.
“We wouldn’t be here if we didn’t. Stop checking that all the time!” It made me laugh. The two laughed with me. I couldn’t believe I’d managed to get a voice soft enough for them. I thought for sure I’d always be alone after I’d hurt so many.
I took a deep breath. It pulled them along, but I moved my thumb to stop them. I was cautious as I placed my thumb next to them. The tips of my fingers were bigger than the two combined… I started to bring my thumb and index finger together. Carefully I pressed my fingers together holding the two of them. The invisible vines coating me made it easier to feel them. Each miniscule heave of their chests. I could even feel their heartbeat, neither seemed to feel fear.
I increased the pressure slightly, just enough that when I moved their bodies followed. I felt them tense, I waited for a shout of fear, but none came. I turned my hand so my index finger was flat on the ground, the two laying on top of it. I moved again slowly bringing the finger up to my face. I kept waiting for a sign that they were scared, but didn’t speak up. Their hearts were beating in sync, as if they were one being. I wondered if mine was beating the same. I brought them even closer.
I could see them faintly lit by the light from my eyes. I held them where they were coated by green and slowly shifted them under my blue eye. They were beautiful in the glow, I wished it was from something other than myself. I could see the smile on their faces, as if something amazing was happening. I wanted to ask, but I hadn’t finished what I wanted to try yet. I started to move my finger again.
I brought my finger closer to my face. I moved them closer to my lips. I didn’t know how this would turn out. I could feel the slight increase in their heart beats. I hesitated, but no words were said so I continued. I pressed my finger gently against my lips. I could feel every part of them. It was terrifying to start to try and kiss them. I could feel my own heart beat speed up as they tensed under my lips.
I wasn’t even sure they knew what I was doing. I felt like electricity jolted through me when two small sets of lips touched my own. I relaxed slightly, letting my finger slide down to give them the slightest bit more of a kiss. I waited only a few more seconds until I started to pull away. I moved my finger back to my eyes. The light seemed brighter as I held them close. I could faintly taste mint and apples, the taste was intrinsically them.
“Wow…” Alessia breathed. I held my own breath… They might be scared now.
“Ok… giant kisses might be one of my favorite things,” Delphia laughed. I brought them closer, they finally blurred a bit with how close to my eye they were.
“I didn’t… scare you?”
The two laughed at me. I made a face lowering my hand back down to the cliff they stayed on. The laughter didn’t die down at all. It started to make me smile. I started to tilt my finger for them to slide off, but both quickly dug their hands into my skin. I flattened my finger again leaving the two lying there staring up at me.I narrowed my eyes at the two humans on my skin. I could still feel the trembles from their attempts to contain their laughter.
“Sorry sorry, but Ash you can’t scare us,” Delphia said. I widened my eyes at her words, of course I could. I was big enough to miss a human and hurt them by accident.
“You don’t believe her. Well too bad, but I actually want to stay right here,” Alessia said. She rolled over on her side and I couldn’t hold back a laugh. I knew I was shaking them, but it was so much like her to just decide something like that. When I finally stopped both were nearly at the edge of my finger tip. I used my thumb to bring them back, smiling at the calmness they exuded.
“...Can I try something else?” I asked. This time I had no practice, but I had a new idea. It could backfire, but I could use the vines to help me. They nodded again.
I brought my finger close and rested my thumb on top of them. They squirmed a bit before I added a little pressure. I could feel the way they seemed to lean into my hold. Carefully I started to move onto my back. I could feel the two heartbeats in my hold grow faster, but somehow I knew it was anticipation.
My tail slammed the ground as I moved. I was a bit out of control, but I didn’t mind for once. I slid down so my head was right next to the cliff. I was more grateful for the landscape matching my height now than ever. I winced a bit as I let my weight hit the ground. The shudder of the world around me made me worry about the two in my hand. Their heartbeats had grown calmer.
I moved my hand over my heart and paused. My skin was covered in something hard and leaves. I didn’t actually know how my body would react to them. I changed my mind and brought them up to my face instead. I placed my fingers on their sides and slowly released the pressure. I could feel as they landed and their impossibly small hands touched my skin. I pulled my hand away and froze as my tail slammed on the ground again. I was so nervous I couldn’t keep control.
I could feel as the two stood and started to walk along my face. I expected it to feel like when an ant had crawled up my arm, but this was different. They felt like something else, something almost impossible to explain. They felt like people. I sucked in a breath as they moved and almost panicked when I felt them fall to their knees. This was a bad idea, I could hurt them. My vines were already making their way up to me.
“Don’t you dare!” Delphia insisted. The vines froze just next to my face. I tried not to move when she did that. I stayed still as the two climbed over and reached my nose. They sat down and leaned back against me. It felt impossible to have them close like this. “Let us stay here… please?”
“It’s not safe…” I murmured. I felt them move as I spoke. I couldn’t even imagine how it felt to them.
“I don’t care, I miss being close to you. You said we’d try to find a way to fix things, let us be close until then too.” Alessia complained. The weakness she only showed to us was slipping out. “Especially if we can’t… I’m not losing you again.”
“Neither am I. Ash you aren’t going to get rid of us that easily. Trust us.”
“I… I’ll keep trying to be close. I’m scared of hurting you.” I felt small hands rub my skin. The bit of comfort that I wanted for so long. I shut my eyes, focusing entirely on them. I wouldn’t ever let them be hurt. I jumped as they both seemed to press into me. I sighed and turned my head a bit. It forced them to lay against my nose and I smiled as they let out excited shouts. “I’ll make sure you’re safe with me…”
“We know.”

49). "Can you move this boulder?"
heheh another random au this time with some Felix and Ryder focus.
Trapped Before The Storm
Ryder was young, but had skills the others trusted. If he felt an animal was safe he was never wrong. A path might be dangerous and he was always right. That was why it hurt so much more the one time he trusted his sister’s words. She promised it would be quick, she’d be in and out. He stood on the offending boulder and looked down past the opening to the small tunnel Delphia was trapped in.
“Ryder, you need to head home,” she said. The glow from her wings was dimming. He knew that meant she was losing hope. He moved to try and push the boulder to make more space for her to slip out. “It’s going to rain, if you’re caught outside we’re both dead. Go home, you know me I’ll survive.”
“You can’t lie to me Del,” he said. Ryder stopped pushing and laid flat on his stomach to stare into the hole. The glow from his own wings cast a somber glow on her face. She already looked like a ghost. “I… Del you trust me right?”
“With my life, why?” He took a deep breath and reached his arm towards her. She clasped his hand in hers and smiled. “Go home Ryder, I’ll be back after the storm. You can lecture me all about how I should listen to you.”
“I… I have an idea Del, just gimme a minute?”
“Ryder, they can’t lose both of us. I know you hate to think of this, but you have to go home. Dad, Sola, Luna need you.”
“Trust me Del, I… If it fails I promise I’ll go home. We’ve got enough time for me to do this and make it home if it fails. Just keep your wings bright.”
Ryder flew off ignoring her calling his name. They lost enough already, they can’t lose Del too. A whole village and they were all that was left. He didn’t have enough time to get home before the storm, but he knew this would work. He’d been watching this one for weeks, he could see the truth.
Ryder had to find an opening, most of the ones he used were closed. It didn’t help that he couldn’t find the aid he needed. He found one of the huge entrances and flew straight in. His wings were buzzing as he searched. Finally he found what he needed, a giant.
“Giant!” he shouted. The being that looked like a fairy with no wings turned to face him. His black hair was damp and steam followed the giant from the room. Ryder had to force himself to stay where he was, the golden eyes of the huge being locked on him. He didn’t know if the steam came from something the giant had done or the revealed beige skin. “I-I need your help!”
“What?” the giant asked. Ryder fell a bit lower once he heard the voice. It was deep and loud, nothing like he’d heard while spying. The golden eyes narrowed while staring at him, Ryder could only imagine the glow from his wings. “What are you? How did you get in here?”
Ryder knew he didn’t have time to wait. The rain would come soon and even if the giant helped they’d be trapped on the ground. That could be worse than just being trapped. The giant was moving, he had to act quickly. He dove for one of the pictures he’d watched the giant draw. The giant’s eyes widened as he flew off.
“Wait!” the giant shouted. The voice was too loud. It made him wince, almost losing the drawing.
“Follow if you want it back!” Ryder shouted. He flew straight back out the entrance he had used. He could hear the crashing of things behind him, he hoped he was right. He hovered near the entrance he used, pleading for the giant to come quickly. The giant nearly fell out of the entrance as he caught up.
“Give that back!”
Ryder flew off again. He needed the giant to follow. He stopped and looked back, the giant was doing as he needed. Once the boulder was in view he landed on top of it. He looked down and saw Delphia’s face lit by the dull blue glow from her wings. He tried to look confident, but the giant’s actions made him question himself. He had to be right, he couldn’t be wrong this time.
The giant slowed his approach once he was almost close enough to grab the drawing. Ryder pulled it closer, this had to work out. The giant’s steps shook the boulder he was on. He heard Del shriek as it moved. He knew it wouldn’t fall further, it was too big. The giant’s hand was coming close, fingers longer than him were filling his view. It was now or never.
“Can you move this boulder?” he asked. The giant froze, moving his hand back and looking over him. Ryder couldn’t keep his wings still under the golden gaze. “I-I need you to move the boulder, giant. I’ll return what I took after that.”
Those golden eyes narrowed and the giant sat up straight. He seemed to study Ryder, the buzzing from his wings was growing deafening. The giant sighed, he’d heard that sigh before. The giant had it before doing something and muttering about other giants. He grew hopeful, letting himself flutter just a bit off the stone.
“Ryder!” Delphia screamed. The giant’s eyes changed. His studious gaze softened as he moved. Ryder looked back, in the dimming light of the coming storm Delphia’s wings were a bright blue. She was terrified.
“Someone else like you is trapped?” the giant asked. His voice was softer, the sharp edge to the words gone. The huge hand came close again, Ryder tried to stay still. The giant stopped just above the boulder. “You’ll need to move, it’s kind of hard to grab this without grabbing you right now.”
“O-Oh,” Ryder mumbled. He flew up to hover over the giant’s head. He watched the boulder disappear within the huge hand. He tried to hold back his shivers at the idea of the hand grabbing him. As soon as the hand started to pull back, Delphia flew up to him. She hovered in front of him, the blue shine of her wings almost blinding.
“S-stay back! I don’t care what he promised you, you can’t have him! You’ll have to go through me, giant!” Her wings were buzzing enough he almost couldn’t hear her.
Golden eyes that seemed lonely looked at them. The stern face seemed to harden as the giant dropped the boulder. He shivered under the gaze. The giant’s hand moved and Delphia’s wings only brightened more. He watched as she started to reach for her sharpened stick. They hadn’t gathered materials for better weapons yet. The giant’s hand was left just below them with the palm up.
“I want what you stole back,” the giant said. Ryder put his hand on Delphia’s shoulder, the light dimmed from her wings. He moved ahead and landed on the offered palm. The stern look faded almost immediately. Ryder set the drawing down, it felt too small on the palm.
“Thank you, I knew you were safe,” he said. “I couldn’t move the boulder and she would have died from the rain.”
The giant’s eyes widened. He started to flutter his wings, but he couldn’t keep it up for long. There was a crack of thunder followed by a downpour of rain. Delphia yelped as she barreled into him. His wings slammed into his back as the water drenched them. Delphia hugged him tightly, mumbling that they’d survive. He looked up at the giant, golden eyes soft and concerned.
The giant’s hand moved with the two of them on it. If they jumped they’d never survive until the rain ended. The hand kept moving until it was cupped against the still bare chest of the giant. They were sheltered from the rain as the giant moved to stand again. Delphia held him tighter as they were moved at the giant’s mercy.
“You trust me right?” he whispered. Her wings weren’t able to glow much from the water, but he could see the struggling blue.
“With my life… I hope you’re still right about things Ryder. We might wish we were both trapped under that boulder,” she said. He smiled as the giant continued to move.
Felix had no idea what was going on. First a tiny person with wings steals a design, then he saves one from some abandoned animal den, now he’s carrying two through a sudden shower. He sighed as he continued to run back home, the rain was forecasted to last for a few hours, but the house should keep them all dry.
He smiled once the house came into view. He slipped inside, letting the door slam behind him. He felt the two flinch, he’d deal with that later. He rushed to his room and sat at his desk. He let the two slide off his hand, staring down at them. They were both so small, seeing one smaller than the other felt weird. He watched the two as the one with blue wings climbed to her feet.
“I’m guessing you can’t fly in the rain,” he said. The one with silver wings climbed to his feet. He had that weird look still. Felix felt like he was being seen through. “Stay here if you need it.”
Felix grabbed the paper that had slid off his hand with the two tiny people. He had a lot of questions, but it was easier not to ask. He had enough seeing that they didn’t trust him. He slid his chair over and started to copy the design to a new sheet of paper. Luckily he didn’t love this one too much. He had been planning to work on it after clearing his head.
Felix lost himself in his design. Inspiration from the two helping him progress. He assumed they’d be gone by the time he was done. He heard when the rain ended, but he kept working. Blue and silver bringing together something he couldn’t do on his own. He sat back content with his fixes. He jumped when the little person who had first come to him arrived.
“Thank you for helping my sister,” the little man said. Felix leaned forward, curious about the design on the wings. “She left, but she said thank you too. She… she was too nervous to stay. Giants aren’t easy to be near.”
“You’re welcome, I’d say we’re even,” he smiled. The design was better than he would have figured out before. “I don’t mind helping if you need it. Although why not call me Felix instead of giant, that is my name.”
“Alright Felix, I’m Ryder.”
The little person held out a hand. Felix chuckled a bit before moving his own hand. He brought his hand close, the light of the wings was getting brighter. Using his thumb and index finger to pinch the hand offered. He moved just slightly to lift the arm up in a handshake. As he pulled his hand back Ryder had a huge grin. He watched the small man land on the table and look over the new design.
“So what are these pictures for?” Ryder asked. Felix smiled and started to explain.

I dont know if you've done this already but have you drawn or made picrews/other programs with some of ur ocs? I've seen you describe them abit but I'm a bit curious to see how you actually imagine them to be
I haven't done a big post so I will use this ask to do one! I actually have descriptions for each character in a spreadsheet I've made to track all the info I have, I've made picrews, and I have two commissions done so far. This one for the mafia AU god squad and this one for when Corus and Mira met
Comm I got for streya <3
Comm of Delphia, Ash, and Alessia in Vampire AU
fanart of mira and corus
Below the read more is a description I have an at least one picrew I've made of each of my ocs! I made a lot of these a long time ago so I sadly don't have the links but I can def try to find ones if people want them!
Mira: pale skin with lavender hair and pink eyes. She has a natural red tint to her cheeks with a pink color for her lips. Her body is lean and muscular, reflecting the years of training she's had. In her streamer universe she has a lean form with slight muscle from casual workouts. When you first see her you wouldn't assume she's as tactful and agile as she is.
Tumblr media
Kaya: black hair, brown eyes and brown skin. They have some freckles by their nose and mole under their left eye. While they usually share in some of Mira's training they retain a thin frame and appear petite at first glance. They look innocent at first, as if they have no understanding of darker sides to the world. In reality they have stared it in the face and continued with a smile
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This heart one is an adorable comm from @graff-aganda gotten by @alarcomet
Ian: fair skin with blond hair and brown eyes. His face is covered in a dusting of freckles. He's a little shorter than average at first in his original universe. He has a lanky frame that some may even call scrawny at times. He looks younger than he is, giving an impression of early teens rather than close to an adult.
Tumblr media
Delphia: pale white skin with emerald eyes that stand out against it. Her hair is a dark black, almost ebony. She's above average height in most universes with a thin frame. Generally she's pale to a concerning degree. Almost like you'd think she's dead if she held her breath. She appears innocent and naive by choice, if she changes to seem world weary it's best to listen Where it exists people might think she's a bit like snow white
Tumblr media
Vincent: striking silver hair, usually tied back. He has one eye green like emeralds, the other purple like violets. Overall his features are striking, but the scars over his eyes stand out against his sepia brown skin. He's intimidating, usually holding a look of disdain or pointed disinterest. If he cares for you he will kill for you
Tumblr media
Melody: around average height with pale skin and heavyset. She has long brown hair frequently put up in ponytails or braids. Glasses that hide the bags under her eyes and a bright red tint on her cheeks. She also has a single dimple mirrored by Caprice. She looks young and innocent as if the things she suffered never happened. Most often she wears jeans and dark colored t-shirts with a black hoodie
Tumblr media
Caprice: fair pale skin with freckles, short brown hair, and brown eyes. He usually has an athletic build and a bit short for men. He doesn't need glasses and has a healthy look. He has a single dimple mirrored by Melody. He appears goofy and ignorant, a mask he wears that can fall away to someone who sees more than anyone would like.
Tumblr media
Lilith: dark brown skin, red eyes, and naturally black hair. She likes to dye it purple. Overall she is adorable. There is always a possessiveness in her face if she likes you.
Tumblr media
Corus: black hair long enough he can tie it in a small ponytail. He has blue eyes and tanned white skin. At first glance he looks tall with an average build at best, but he has a lot of muscle that you can't see. His way of dress hides the fact he's well built. It's a byproduct of ways he's tried to handle his anger issues through out the years. He looks like someone easy to take advantage of at first, but then his anger comes through and he's terrifying regardless of size.
Tumblr media
Zeke: golden brown skin, green eyes, and red/orange hair. He looks welcoming and intelligent. Overall his build is a bit average but his arms reflect the manual labor his life usually requires. He's observant and quick to act. When it's viable he has glasses that help him see far away. Luckily he has no issues up close.
Tumblr media
Mikhail: He has rich black skin, green eyes and long black hair. He has a lean frame that some would assume is from being consumed in his studies. Most of the time he needs glasses more specifically for reading. His size changing in his original universe does change his frame slightly. The bigger he grows the more imposing his build becomes and the opposite for smaller. He'd be bird like at Ian's size
Tumblr media
Alessia: rosy white skin and a warm look to her face. She's chubby which hides the strength she's capable of. Her hair, which flows to the middle of her back, is the same color as the night sky and she has brown eyes that radiate kindness. Generally around average human height. Soft is a good way to describe her. As a goddess she is usually dressed in a golden suit of armor that still leaves her legs, arms, hands, and head free.
Tumblr media
Rhys: sharp edges to his face, the tawny brown skin accented with salmon hair. His eyes change colors depending on mood, but he is most commonly seen with them at bright pink. He isn't too tall and has a stout form. When he's calm his features have him looking reliable. As a god he dresses for the times, frequently in the most common clothing styles of the era until more modern times.
Tumblr media
Ash: appears intimidating. A sharp face with one green and one blue eye. Their brown hair is short almost shave. They have umber brown skin and, as a god, tend to wear something that looks like leather armor. It's more like a misviewed tunic. They are frequently considered to look like a warrior or soldier and mistaken for the god of war.
Tumblr media
Vitus: ashen white skin and even whiter hair. His hair is a bit below his shoulders and usually tied back with enough left free to frame his face. He has striking emerald eyes and a stern gaze. He has an average build and appears normally to be around mid thirties to early forties in age. He's taller than most others. As a god he tends to wear a button up shirt and simple plain pants regardless of the era. As a human he has reading glasses.
Tumblr media
Dabria: fair white skin that looks like she's spent a lot of time under the sun. She has ebony hair which seems to flow endlessly behind her and piercingly red eyes. Her round face almost always carries a small smile and radiates warmth. She has a chubby form and is happy to offer comfort to any who need it. As a goddess she tends to wear a simple black dress, as a human she wears darker colors and jeans unless it's more formal
Tumblr media
Felix: a stocky build. He has golden eyes and short black hair that slightly frames his face. His skin is a warm beige. He looks judgemental and cold at first glance. His features give a calculating feeling. As a god he dresses ostentatiously, styles that mimic nobility or expensive styles of the era.
Tumblr media
Sola: a soft tan to her white skin, something that makes her look to have spent long days out in the sun. Her hair is just a bit past her shoulders, a light blonde color with specks of blue and white. Her eyes like like the morning sky, bright yellow at the center for the sun. She dresses in bright colors and most often has her arms and legs uncovered. She appears childish like Luna. A round face, large eyes, and over all child like features. She is twins with Luna. She appears bright, outgoing, and loud, but tries to match those around her more than act freely.
Tumblr media
Luna: pale skin that could remind you of moonlight. He has shoulder length hair that's black with specks of white like stars. As a god his eyes are almost mirrors of the night sky, but human leaves him with a deep blue. He dresses in dark colors that relate to the era. He looks childish, a round face, large eyes, and general child like features. He is twins with Sola. He appears shy and reserved, but just is soft spoken.
Tumblr media
Ryder: the build of a soldier. He reflects his status as god of war in his stature. His eyes are silver and, as a god, his pupils are shaped like swords. He has a surprisingly kind look most of the time. His face is scared despite never being in battle, he also has some scars along his arms and torso. He has long black hair that reaches down his back and he tends to leave as is. He tries to appear ready to fight in any universe he's in despite his lack of actual experience and general reasons to fight.
Tumblr media
Kyrie: warm beige skin and a chubby build. His hair and fins are black at first. Both will change later to mimic colors of the deep sea to aid in hiding from humans. His eyes are the same color as the deep sea giving him the best sight of the merfolk under water. His hair is long and reachs almost to his tail. He opts not to do anything to it much like Pelago. He can look intimidating when he smiles, large fangs poking out. He is technically not full grown until some time after he meets Melody and grows significantly from the size he'd been until then.
Tumblr media
Pelago: slender with dark brown skin. She has scars over her face from years of abuse due to the colors of her scales. She has blond hair the is half the length of her body. Her scales are a bright white and define her as an oceanid. Her eyes match the colors of her scales and fins as white as well. She still holds a kind smile despite the way she's been treated in the past. Pelago looks the most human when she smiles, her smaller size leaving her no need for large fangs.
Tumblr media
Byssal: fair white skin and a stout build. He has used his size to keep Pelago safe and appears intimidating. His hair is green and usually braided. When loose his hair is almost longer than Pelago He has green scales, fins, and eyes. He has some scales along his skin unlike Pelago. Byssal frequently wears a scowl and bares his fangs at anyone who isn't Kyrie or Pelago (later that grows to Melody and Caprice)
Tumblr media
Streya: skin the same color of space, she'd disappear into the darkness without the stars. She wears a gown that looks like endless stars. Her eyes are a solid dull purple when she's not matching a planet, they change to match the planet she's mimicking. Her hair is long reaching down into the endless space like her gown. It's a base shade of black with glowing blue on the top and the tips. On the right side of her head her hair is a lighter blue. There's a hint of purple all throughout it. She has a plump form. She has a round face that almost always has a look of awe or curiosity
Tumblr media
Meg: skin is pale and she wears simple earrings. Her hair is a light brown that falls just below her shoulders. She has brown eyes. She has a dusting of freckles on her face, she wears simple glasses. She has a thin frame with a round face. She dresses casually, a warm jacket with simple things. A necklace with a star on it and tends to have jackets with patches or pins for lgbt

Bringing home flowers...crow del finds a real nice flower and dumps it on vitus' head......
Good ask for saying this. Prompts can be settings I haven't used before. If I like it I'll write it :D
Dropping Flowers
Vitus had been working nonstop all day. He had to get this done as soon as possible. It didn’t help his focus when small black feathers kept landing on his desk. Delphia was curious and had been trying to hover over his head a few times today. It was sweet, but he didn’t have the time for it. He sighed, she was still nervous around him so he didn’t want to let her know he’d noticed either.
He leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes. He would be working for at least a few more hours. Dabria had gone on a trip and Rhys was staying with a friend. He had to try and make her stop flying in and out so he could focus. He started to sit up freezing when he heard the small yelp in front of his face. Something slightly damp and cold landed over his nose and he slipped his eyes open.
Delphia was hovering just above him looking terrified. She was blocked out by the blue rose she’d just dropped on his face. He moved slowly to grab the flower, but Delphia backed up anyway. He frowned a bit, but just grabbed the rose and sat up straight again. He looked it over for a minute before looking up at Delphia again.
“I thought it was pretty,” she whispered.
He offered his hand to her and she sat in his palm. The bird traits seem to shine through on her more than Dabria. She seemed more fragile, smaller. It made him extra cautious when she trusted him like this. He brought his hand closer and she hugged herself. He tried to offer a reassuring smile.
“It is, did you want to put it in some water?” he asked. She jumped when he spoke, she wasn’t used to being around someone so much bigger yet. She was just barely the height of his thumb.
“N-no, you seemed upset… I thought it would make you smile,” she whispered. His eyes went wide as she curled in on herself. He bent his finger closer and patted her head gently.
“Thank you, Delphia. Would you like to stay here while I finish working?”
He chuckled at the bright eyed look she gave him. She jumped off his hand and landed on his shoulder. She slipped her legs under his collar and leaned against his neck. He flinched, she was freezing. He sat back instead of continuing his work and placed a hand over her. He laughed a bit louder than he meant to when he felt her relax against his skin.
“You could just tell me you were cold,” he chuckled. He felt her wings twitching against him.
“I didn’t want to bother you, but then you looked upset and I saw the flower. I thought it would help then I’d go hide in Rhys’s jackets.”
“I’d like to think you can just tell me and not have to hide anywhere to warm up.”
“Hiding here is nice… you’re warm and safe.”
He blinked at her words. She hadn’t seemed to find him safe most of the time. She shied away from him when he spoke or his hands came close. He smiled as she relaxed more against his neck. Work could wait, for now he’d just spend some time with his daughter.

Here for the prompts, was wondering if you had anything for these
🌠 If they could have one wish immediately granted with no conditions, what would they ask for? (for Allesia, Ash, Delphia)
👋 Do they have any habitual gestures? Any gestures that they specifically avoid? (Melody and Kyrie)
🎃 What would they dress as for Halloween/a costume party? (you choose!)
Thank you!! Took a bit to get the time to answer but finally able to <3
Ask Game
🌠 If they could have one wish immediately granted with no conditions, what would they ask for?
Ash: To understand the perspective they tend not to share with Alessia and Delphia.
Delphia: To spend just a day the same as her partners so she could show how much she loves them.
Alessia: That she and those she cares about were all the same size. She would give anything to be able to have no disparities between each other.
👋 Do they have any habitual gestures? Any gestures that they specifically avoid?
Melody: She is constantly doing like stretches with her hands. Like stretching her fingers out and slowly curling them in, cracking knuckles, stretching her fingers as far back as they can safely go. A lot of just limbering them cause she tends to keep her hands in a typing/mouse grip pretty often. Melody avoids holding her arms near her stomach, she doesn't want to remind people about her weight.
Kyrie: He's almost always tilting his head to the side. Any thought or question and he's tilted. Melody finds it cute. He avoids copying Melody's hand movements usually. He worries that it'll make her nervous. He tends to do them without thinking when he wants to hold her though.
🎃 What would they dress as for Halloween/a costume party?
Mira and Corus: They would 100% do a couple costume of the characters from Haven.

How about 5 with Demon Ash :3
I hope you like this. Picks up from the last prompt i had for them.
Can I Sleep On Your Chest Tonight?
Things had been tense since Ash refused the deal from Delphia. Each day they went near to give them food she’d leave immediately. Alessia tried to talk with them more, asking small questions about their own life. So far they’d only attempted to leave once, but both humans had been awake at the time. They couldn’t leave then, opting to just make the door a bit more secure against any attempts to leave they may have.
They were preparing to make another attempt to leave when different noises stopped them. Sniffles just barely reached them. They didn’t see anyone out of the house, but they weren’t content with that. They made sure to move silently as they approached. The sniffles grew slightly louder. That was when they found the door open to the house they’d made for their humans.
Ash stopped and took a deep breath. Alessia was inside, Delphia was outside. She was on the table though. They were tempted to just force her out of hiding. She was clearly trying to hide from Alessia which left her near them. They sighed, but decided now might be the best time to show one of the things they can do.
They placed their palm on the table and closed their eyes. It wasn’t hard to do this, but it took focus. They had to gather a lot of their power and condense it. They slowly put their full weight onto their palm. The creak of the table was an oddly familiar sound. They felt the burn of their own magic course through them. It wouldn’t be long before they’d at least be closer to their humans.
“Wait!” Delphia shouted. They lost their focus. The feeling of warmth went cold quickly and they grimaced. It wasn’t easy to do this and now it would take even more time. Delphia had appeared in front of them. She was shaking more than normal. “I-I’ll go back inside. I just didn’t want Alessia to hear me…”
Ash sighed, but chose to kneel in front of the table. It was a bit high, but they could place their head on it easily enough. They placed their chin down, still having to look down at her. She was absolutely miniscule, Alessia was even shorter. It seemed unbelievable to them. They could remember times humans seemed powerful and wise. Those days were centuries ago by now.
“Why are you crying?” they asked. She looked a bit shocked and backed away a bit. It was harder to see it clearly, but she had been at it longer than they realized. They noticed movement near the door of the house they’d provided, Alessia had been awake.
“It doesn’t matter. You don’t have to get mad and break the table or anything. I’ll be good… just like always…” She looked away, but they could see the subtle shaking of her form. They sighed before standing up again. She looked up with fear, but they were going to try and get through to her a bit at least.
“Stay quiet. Don’t interrupt me this time,” they warned.
She stepped back as their hand was placed on the table. They wouldn’t be able to go as small as they wanted. It wasn’t that close, but it would be small enough that they were on the table. Their body felt warm as the magic started to encase them. It was a slow process, but worth it for now. They felt the table growing larger under their palm. It was always strange when they did this.
They felt lighter as it happened. They heard a small gasp that took their focus. Humans would never listen when they told them to be silent. They lost the warm feeling and had to catch themself with their other hand. They opened their eyes, upset with the size they achieved. They weren’t going to get smaller tonight. She was at least the size of their hand now, a far cry better than smaller than each of their fingers.
“Y-You can get smaller?!” she shouted. They sighed again. She was so easily overwhelmed by each action. They sat down, leaning on their arm that rested against their leg.
“Most demons can, it’s not a struggle at all. I just happen to need more focus than others due to my strength,” they explained. She was looking at them with wide eyes. It was easier to see the now drying tears on her face.
“So you’re really powerful right?” She inched closer, they sort of liked this proximity with her.
“Yes, it was something I believe I explained multiple times before.”
“So… I just didn’t ask enough right? If I ask for something bigger then you’d make the deal?” They narrowed their eyes. This wasn’t what they had intended by this discussion. They had been worried about her, as much as they were loath to admit it.
“Do you truly mean to ask me for a new deal?” They had more of a growl and more menace than intended. She flinched but approached them anyway. They kept a glare on her, softening slightly when new tears started.
“Then… can you make it not have happened? Can you go back and save my parents and Alessia’s dad? I.. it’s all my fault and I can’t look at her. I can’t be near her at all after finding out…”
She was starting to sob worse. They weren’t sure what to do, but reached for her. She fell into their hands before looking up with clear pain. They didn’t know how to solve this. They couldn’t do that, they can’t change events that brought on their summoning. Anything in the world she could have asked for, but that was too much for them. They tried not to look as Alessia slipped out of the house. She wasn’t sure if they’d take the deal.
Ash was searching for some answer. They could faintly remember how they’d seen humans comfort each other. They’d done it a few times with the demons they’d grown close to before disappearing. Carefully they lifted her up, she squeezed her eyes shut. They held her close to their chest. Covering her with their hands so that she wasn’t visible. Alessia left the shadow of the house finally. She was clearly worried and came up close. She didn’t have any weapons this time though.
“I can’t do that,” they whispered. She pushed against their chest until she could look up at them with anger.
“Why!? I’ll do anything. I don’t care. I’ll die for this. Give Alessia her family, give my parents’ their life. Don’t leave me as the one who caused all of this.” Alessia ran up as Delphia cried. Ash hadn’t felt someone else’s pain like this in a long time. They gripped her a bit tighter.
“Del you aren’t what made any of this happen,” Alessia tried. Her voice was full of pain. Ash wasn’t sure if they were making the right choice. They could get bigger easier, letting themself grow somewhat as they reached for Alessia. She was calmer than Delphia was as they curled their fingers around her.
“No you don’t get it. My parents wound up in that place because my mother was pregnant with me. Your father only came there because my parents went missing. You only wound up there because he’d been taken. They all died because of me!”
Ash pulled Alessia to their chest before letting out a growl. Of course their human was blaming herself. They held the two to their chest, almost relieved as Delphia latched onto Alessia. It made more sense that way, they weren’t meant for comfort. They would try at least. It wouldn’t be amazing, but they would try. Their grip tightened, but neither human seemed to mind it.
“There’s no changing the past like that. Regardless of who you called, a demon can’t change the events leading to their own summoning.” They pulled their hand back a bit and used a claw under each human’s chin to make them look at their face. “I could destroy them for you both. I could possibly bring your family back, but would either of you actually enjoy that? Would you be happy dropping them out of time into a world they don’t know? Would they be happy to live knowing that for their lives you two become mine for eternity?”
“Wh-what?” She looked terrified, new tears formed on her face. Alessia looked relieved which Ash found shocking. “No, just me. I summoned you. It was my blood. Alessia gets to live her life after a deal.”
“Del I-”
“The two of you summoned me, the two of you are payment. That’s how this works.” It was always easy to lie. Delphia’s blood called them, her wish, she was the only one they were actually tied to from the summoning. There was no reason to let her know Alessia had asked to be a part of any deals she made. Alessia pulled her head from their claw and glared at them.
“Del, they’re lying. I told them if you sell your soul I’m part of the cost.” She looked almost ashamed as Ash pulled their fingers away. They hadn’t expected that. “We talked when they gave me back the journal… I didn’t give it back yet because of how you’ve been.”
“Alessia I…” Delphia looked up at them with awe. She must have assumed they still had it. “Ash… why won’t you take a deal then? Don’t you want to go home?”
Ash was taken aback. They hadn’t expected the question. They didn’t have a reason not to take the easy deal and leave. They could crush those humans in moments and be on their way. They wouldn’t have to deal with humans and they could take time to decide freely. There wouldn’t be a need to keep their humans fed or safe once in hell. They looked over the two, a feeling that they couldn’t name filled them.
“I don’t know…” they murmured.
Alessia and Delphia looked shocked at their answer. They could easily just come up with a lie to say it. They wanted to have a deal worth their time. They wanted something more entertaining. They expected something better for two souls. They refused because she wasn’t thinking clearly and they knew that. They weren’t used to this.
“Hey Ash,” Alessia said. She looked a bit red, if they didn’t know better they’d think embarrassed. “Can I sleep on your chest tonight? I… I was kind of cold in the house and you’re warm.”
Ash raised a brow. They knew full well that house kept a consistent temperature for their humans. It shouldn’t be cold. She looked away from their eyes. A good feeling filled them. They almost wanted to keep her close. They wanted to keep Delphia close too.
“Could I sleep there too? I um.. I’ve been having nightmares since I read the journal. It might help,” Delphia asked. She was a brighter shade of red than Alessia.
“I’d have to go back to my normal size, but I wouldn’t be opposed.”
They expected retractions. They expected the good feeling this was causing to go away. Instead the two nodded at each other before looking at them expectantly. They climbed to their feet, hopping off the table. It was always easier to go back to their true size. They had two humans smaller than any of their fingers in their palm in seconds. Ash expected shaking or fear, but instead the two seemed to relax.
Ash retreated to their spot in the house they formed. Dark and far enough the humans would assume they can’t hear. They laid back on the bed they had formed. Carefully moving the two over the heart they had in a human spot. They held back a gasp as the small forms seemed to bury themselves into their skin. They shut their eyes, choosing to act asleep before they could take away the good feeling.
“Del,” Alessia whispered after a bit of time. They could feel her small movements as she started to get Delphia’s attention. “Del… you awake?”
“I am now,” Delphia answered. They almost smirked, the way she sounded was cute. “What’s wrong?”
“Do you think, or would you be upset if, ugh I don’t know how to ask this…”
“Ash doesn’t seem as bad as they did at first. I thought… I guess I thought they’d take an easy out and I was that. Just kill them and go. If I woke up after they could do what they wanted.”
“Del, I’d miss you.”
“I know.”
“I’d hate you leaving me like that too. I’ve got to be honest with you, my dad was awful. He left because he didn’t want to take care of me. I only found out he left a few weeks later when someone realized I’d been left alone.”
“Wait, he abandoned you?”
“Yeah, I guess that’s why I wasn’t as upset as you. I mean in the end I met you because of him. I’d lied. I had been there to tell him off. Then I was going back to town and probably getting married off by the people who took me in.”
“Alessia…”
“This isn’t what I wanted to talk about though. Would you hate it if we stayed? Like just never bothered to try and leave until Ash decides what to do?”
They had struggled to hold back a growl, but they were glad they did. They weren’t sure what to decide on this anymore. At first they would have just abandoned this or taken the first deal offered. Watching the two and listening to them talk had started to change that. They cared about almost nothing. Advancing as a demon was pointless, torturing humans through deals was boring, everything about life as a demon was dull. These two humans were the first to make them care or feel much of anything in a long time.
“Would you hate it if I said I almost hope they decide to stay with us?” Delphia’s voice was quieter than ever before. They’d almost jumped at her words.
“I mean I was the one who said they were cute, besides I think they really didn’t hurt anyone else. I don’t think they’ve lied to us. I kind of hope they do too.” Alessia dug her fingers into their skin slightly. It was almost reassuring how calm the two were.
“I guess let’s wait and see right? Unless we tell them?”
“It’s too late to decide that, for now I think I want to just enjoy this feeling. I didn’t think I could feel safe being held by them, but this is nice…”
“Let’s figure it out tomorrow, I don’t want to find out if they’re angry when woken up.”
Ash let the silence settle around them. Their humans were strange. They were willing to trust them, Alessia even revealed their lie. They listened for the two sets of breathing ease before slowly moving their hand. They had cupped it over the two, but gently they rested it against their small forms. They could feel the two relax more from their small movement. Staying for a human lifetime wouldn’t be too bad.
