could you write something for Shani, she is my favorite of the lesser-known female characters and no one has written anything for her (at least with x reader, x oc or headcanons)

Absolutely! I’d be happy to write some shani pieces in the future, but since I don’t feel super confident on her characterization right now so I hope you’re okay with headcannons!

Loving Shani

- First and and foremost, Shani is a stubborn woman. She has to be! And being a field medic for a bunch of equally stubborn soldiers definitly made it take its hold.

- but you you adore it. You love the way her nose begins to scrunch when she’s really adamant about something and the little frown she tries to pull when you playfully push back against her.

- One of your favorite ways to spend time with her is just in quiet moments. Shani does so much all the time and the moments that you can convince her to live quietly you like to savor

- The quiet days in where soft morning light filters through your curtains. Your head lays on Shani’s leg, eyes closed as she reads to you from the medical book she’s reviewing. You don’t really understand anything that she’s saying, but you do enjoy her commentary as she reads through various entries.

- “ ‘use a mixture of pringrape and wormwood for infected wounds’ well that’s just stupid. You can clean it out with water and use just spruce pitch in the same way. Plus it’s less work…”

- “Hmm, really? Why is that?” You ask, just to hear her talk more and happily she obliges you.

- her hand runs idly through your hair between passionate rants and murmurs of voices from the market outside barely permeate through the cracked open window.
