karl jacobs — outlast

PRONOUNS: any!

SCENARIO: you and karl were on a stream together after meeting up in person. you two were up late from drinking monster so you played outlast.

WARNINGS: none at all!

a/n: ignore anything wrong you see, this is an old work of mine!

You got off your 8 hour flight to your amazing friend, Karl.

You were pretty excited to meet him and in a couple minutes, you would literally be seeing each other face to face and to say you weren't a little bit nervous was an understatement. You were shaking and you could barely even stand without fidgeting with something while you waited for your friend near arrivals.

Soon enough, you saw the taller male coming through the doors to the airport, his phone in his hand as he was probably texting you to let you know he was here. You didn't want the poor boy to look around for you so you took your stuff with you and ran over to him.

Karl!" You shout softly as Karl looks over at you and he smiles brightly, holding his arms out for you.

You dropped some of your luggage beside the two of you, wrapping your arms around his waist as you felt him doing the same but he lifted you up and swung you around with a slight laugh exiting his lips. "I've been waiting to do that for ages!"

You smile at his words ad let go of the hug, regretting your decision to do so but i'm sure he also wanted to leave the airport to get back to his house. "Lets go shall we? I'll take your luggage, you had a pretty long ride here!" He says softly as you nod, "I did but it's okay, i survived off of some monster and i brought us some for later since you said we could possibly stream," I smiled softly at him.

He returned the smile to me and nodded, "That's really kind of you, we can let chat pick what game to play since we're going to be up half the night so why not?" He lifted your luggage over his shoulder since it was just a sports bag with a few of your clothes and other things you needed when staying over for two weeks.

You walked over to his car right as you got outside, opening the door and getting into the passenger seat when he unlocked it, smiling to yourself about how the weeks you're spending are gonna be. You were super excited to be spending time with Karl, especially since you two have been friends for so long and this is the first time you're meeting.

You saw the male getting into the drivers seat beside you, raising a brow as you seemed to have been zoning out for a little but you just sent a reassuring smile his way as he shook it off, passing you the aux cord, "I haven't heard any music you like so just put anything on and i'll vibe, we're about an hour away from my house so take your time with picking out what you wanna listen to!" He says softly as you punch the air happily, "Yes! My first time with the aux cord."

You play the first song, 'Heatwaves' by Glass Animals and almost instantly Karl's eyes light up at the start of the song, "Yooo.. you got some good taste already, i found this song from one of those dreamnotfound fanfictions, don't ask why i even read one.." He mumbled while you just laughed, "Don't worry, i read it too."

It had been a couple hours since you got into Karl's house, you two were getting comfortable with eachother, laughing and having a small play fight, ordering food.

You were currently waiting for the food to come at the moment but you both agreed on starting a stream on his twitch after you got some food into you so you guys had something to do.

A couple minutes after though, Karl dashed past you with a smile, immediately going to the door and answering, taking the food from the delivery person and thanking them before shutting and locking the door, "Let's enjoy this food and get started with the stream, shall we?"

It was time, the time you and Karl were going to stream.

He got things set up while you grabbed two monsters out of his mini fridge, handing him one with a smile to which he mumbled a quick thank you then he started the stream; You sat in the chair beside him, ruffling up your hair and waving to chat, "Helloo guys!" Karl smiled brightly as he laughed at how you were sitting, "How do you even sit like that, what?!" You turned to him and raised a brow, "Talk about yourself big man!"

Karl just brushed some hair out of his face and acted like the conversation never happened, looking at chat and giggling, "Gosh they love you already.. but guys guys we need your decision on a game- outlast or phasmaphobia?" He asks softly as he took a drink from his monster, watching as his chat kept spamming 'Outlast! Outlast pls...' And so the two of you agreed on outlast.

You couldn't say you were the biggest fan of the game but it was fun to play and so you agreed on it again with Karl making sure you are alright playing these sort of games. You chuckled at how worried he was but you tapped his thigh, "I'm sure, it's alright! Just load it up!" You say to him as he nodded, loading up the game and putting his facecam in the top right right corner while the outlast screen was on display.

"Oh god! I hope we don't get caught, you're in charge of keyboard so make sure we don't do anything stupid.." You mumble to Karl as he chuckled, "I'm good at this game, i played it with quackity like ages ago so don't worry about things!"

And so, the game began and you already jumped just from the car hitting a stone. The two of you told each other where to go and where to look, making sure that you were navigating the right way to go because you didn't want to get caught.

After a few tries of the game (i mean, you guys got caught twice), its fair to say you two were doing not too bad but you saw a donation and couldn't help but cover your mouth with your hands while laugh, Karl gasping really loudly at what the donation read.

"No.. like, out the gang, you're out the gang!" He shouts at the screen, moving his head from side to side.

"No- they are still in the gang- oh shit! Look Karl!" You point to the screen and he smiled, "Thank you Quackmaster2 for the 30 dollar donation! Can you say hello to Maria? also go to sleep its really late where you two are right now.. hmm, i'll have to think about that.." He teased while he grabbed some monster but you took it off him, "No! You'll be up all night and you need good rest!"

"Yeah but you have monster there too!" "Uhhh... no i don't that's a lie!"

"No seriously i'll go to sleep after we finish!"

Karl soon enough ended the stream after the two of you finished outlast which took a good hour and 40 minutes. Saying goodbye to his fans, Karl pressed the end stream button and closed the tab, turning to you.

You smiled softly and turned to face him, realising he already was looking at you which made you a bit red in the face, "That was a lot of fun Karlos, but are you sure you're gonna go to sleep now? The monster hasn't exited your body yet and you might just be tossing and turning in bed half the night. I can pull up a good movie and we can watch it together if you want?"

"Sure y/n! That sounds great actually, but one thing, uhh you know how your nails are black? Can you do mine like that?" He asked softly as you nodded, "Let me for grab my nail polish, just stick the movie on and get comfy!"
