Hyrule Gamer just did a very interesting theory video on how BoTW could have both the Rito and the Zora. The jist is the the Rito in the BoTW are not the same as the ones in Wind Waker but rather they evolved from Loftwings. Its a neat theory and one that could easily have a Branched evolution with some becoming the Oocaa and another group becoming the Rito
