#Marvel #Marvel comics #Marvel 616 #Web of Spider-Man #Kaine #Kaine Parker #out of all the insane twists the Clone Saga this section is probably the most frustrating for me personally #like from an editorial perspective I know WHY they did it #there’s no better way to depict Peter hitting rock bottom than to have Peter save the Jackal’s life #but that still doesn’t mean that I’ll stop wishing that the Jackal’s spinelessness was less metaphorical and more physical #(and I’ll get more into what happens between Kaine and the Jackal next issue) #I also find it interesting that if one looks closely here #it would appear that Kaine has such a low opinion of himself that deep (DEEP) down he’s still looking for some sort of approval #even from the man he probably actively loathes the most: the Jackal #and even if not approval than at least recognition? (perhaps why he’s so willing to be hated by Peter??? negative attention > none???) #poor guy that’s rough #finally…someone should calculate the damages caused by Spider people punching walls in this Saga hahaha #because I feel like it would be rather costly
