Panipat News : हरियाणा के पानीपत जिले के गांव सिवाह के पास रोहतक-पानीपत हाईवे (Rohtak Panipat highway Haryana) पर विगत माह सूटकेस में एक महिला का शव मिला था। मामले में पुलिस के हाथ अभी तक खाली हैं। यही नहीं अभी तक शव की शिनाख्त भी नहीं हो पाई है।
लेकिन पुलिस द्वारा लगातार शव के शिनाख्त की कोशिश की जा रही है। जिसके चलते अब पानीपत पुलिस (Panipat police) ने मामले में एसआईटी गठित कर दी है। वहीं पुलिस ने महिला की पहचान बताने पर 1 लाख रुपये का ईनाम रखा गया है।

"History is blessing as an inspiration, & disaster as an excuse".
Since we at Indies devote part of our time here online, to being film historians & not real life historians, & since there has anyway been a scarcity of historical film material produced thru time, to entertainingly hook our audiences in to our enthralling past/culture, not just in the new millennia but even in the golden b&w age of cinema, we would like to take the cinematic liberty of defining history, not per the strict parameters imposed on real history /antiquity researchers, but a milder set of rules, namely:
1. The films should be largely based on broadly accepted & popular real set of events or incidents & people, from society - if not with exact places & dates or names altogether.
2. The stories passing on thru time, mostly via linked textual references, must have a broad acceptance in culture as inspiring reality, even w/o empirical tangible evidences to establish their authenticity, & despite contrary, or dismissive, lesser popular claims in circulation.
3. The amount of magic, not just metaphoric but real magical qualities, attributed to humans narrated via these stories, must be restricted to a bare minimum & atleast not form a crux of the film (as such stories already find a hallowed place in Indies Mythological Films section).
PS. Few of the below listed films, were released in dual languages, incl Hindi, back in the day, even if only non-Hindi versions available for viewership today.
PS. There are a very small few old b&w (assumed not confirmed) historical films from 1930s & 1940s era coming across as impressive at just poster or casting look, but with no prints available for public view, nor any journalistic literature of the time to gain more insight, very hard to include them at Indies so.
PS. Jfyi. The 2 most prominent Bollywood Historical masters to emerge post this exclusive Indie historical collation, lending this all-time research much density, are- Paidi Jairaj followed by Bharat Bhushan! Each with a handful historical films placed atop or very high up the all-time list !

Agra is the city of Taj is one of the populous cities in Uttar Pradesh. Agra was built on the banks of the Yamuna river. It is 205 km to the national capital, New Delhi. It is the 24th populous city in India.
Agra is a tourist destination because of its many Historical Monuments of most notably the Taj Mahal known city of Taj, Agra Fort, and Fatehpur Sikri, all of which are World Heritage Sites. Agra is included on the Golden Triangle tourist circuit, along with Delhi and Jaipur; and the Uttar Pradesh Heritage tourist circuit of Uttar Pradesh, along with Lucknow and Varanasi.
History of Agra at Mughal Era
Sikander Lodhi was the first ruler who moved his capital from Delhi to Agra in 1504. So he is regarded as the founder of Agra.
Sikandar Lodi’s son, Ibrahim Lodi, was defeated at the Battle of Panipat in 1526 by Babur, which marked the beginning of the Mughal Empire.
Agra the city of Taj was the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1556-1648 under the Mughal Emperors Akbar, Jahangir, Shah Jahan after which Shah Jahan shifted his capital to Delhi.

Famous places to visit in Agra
1) Taj Mahal
Taj Mahal is one of the 7 wonders of the world.
It is known for its beauty and structure made of marble with floral designs. Made by Shah Jahan in 1632 for his wife Mumtaz.
The tomb is the masterpiece of a 17 complex, which includes a mosque and a guest house, and is set in formal gardens bounded on three sides by a wall.
The cost of the Taj Mahal is estimated to be around 70 billion rupees.
It is regarded by many as the best example of Mughal architecture and a symbol of India’s rich history.
2) Agra Fort
Agra Fort is a historical fort in the city of Agra. It was the residential gateway for the Mughal Dynasty until its shipment of capital in Delhi. Before it was captured by the British it was under the Marathas. In 1983, the Agra fort was made a World Heritage site.
3) Fatehpur Sikri
Fatehpur Sikri is a beautiful place in the Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The city was founded as the capital of the Mughal Era in 1571 by Emperor Akbar, serving the role from 1571 to 1585, when Akbar abandons it due to a campaign in Punjab which was later completely abandoned in 1610.
4) Jama Masjid Agra
Jama Masjid in Agra is the opposite of Agra Fort.
The Jama Masjid is popularly known as the Jami mosque or Friday mosque. It is one of the largest mosques.
The Mosque was built by the Emperor, Shah Jahan in the honor of his eldest daughter, in 1648.
Famous Food in Agra
1) Petha
Travel to Agra seems to be incomplete without pethas. Petha is a translucent soft candy from Agra. There are many types of Petha for ex Cherry mango petha, Coconut petha, Angoori petha, Kesar elachi petha, etc
They are differently tasty pethas that people like to have after their food.
2) Mughalai cuisine
Mughalai cuisine consists of dishes developed in the medieval Indo-Persian cultural centers of the Mughal Empire.
It represents a combination of the cuisine of the Indian subcontinent with the cooking styles and recipes of Central Asian and Iranian flavors.
3) Dal moth
Dal moth is a traditional snack, or savory snack, in Agra, made from lentils, nuts, spices, and oil. Crispy, spicy, and a little greasy, it’s the kind of snack that everyone must try. So nice mixture with different flavors.
4) Jalebi

Festivals celebrated in Agra
1) Taj Mahotsav
Taj Mahotsav is an annual 10-day festival.
The festival starts with a road procession with decorated elephants and camels like the victory processions of Mughal emperors and warlords. Starts with beating drums, trumpet players, folk dances skilled craftsmen and artisans to join the procession. Artists from all over India join in this mega festival with a lot of enthusiasm and joy.
2) Kailash fair
Kailash fair is celebrated in honor of Lord Shiva According to the legends, it is believed that Lord Shiva had disguised himself as a stone lingam and visited the place.
Therefore, the stone lingam is worshipped as it considered to be an incarnation of Lord Shiva, the devotees believe that the lord is always present in the form of the lingam and therefore pray to it.

Kriti Sanon to star in this Marathi film's Hindi remake based on surrogacy? - Karan Johar's upcoming 'Good News', starring Akshay Kumar-Kareena Kapoor Khan, also reportedly deals with surrogacy.
Kriti Sanon is likely to team up with her "Luka Chuppi" director Laxman Utekar and producer Dinesh Vijan for a film on surrogacy.
Sources close to the development said the film, titled "Mamma Mia", is currently in the writing stage. "The film is in the process of writing. There is a Marathi film called 'Mala Aai Vhhaychy', which is on surrogacy and Maddock Films has official rights of it. But we have just taken the core idea of it and have changed the entire story.
"There are no similarities between the two stories, the backdrop, the characters are different, just the idea of surrogacy mother we have taken. The Marathi film was made years ago. Back then, the emotions were different and today the taste of the audience is changing. As makers, we have to fulfil their expectations," the sources said.
Kriti, who is basking in the glory of two back-to-back hit films "Bareilly Ki Barfi" and "Luka Chuppi", has liked the idea and is on board the project, they said. The film is expected to go on floors in November this year after the script is complete. Surrogacy is a subject which has been previously dealt with in films such as Sushmita Sen's "Filhaal", Salman Khan-starrer "Chori Chori Chupke Chupke" and others.
Filmmaker Karan Johar's upcoming home production "Good News", featuring Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan, also reportedly deals with surrogacy. Kriti will be seen next in "Arjun Patiala" with Diljit Dosanjh, multi-starrer comedy film "Housefull 4" and Ashutosh Gowarikar's "Panipat".
