PARAMAY DAY 1 - PARA(S) + INTRO

Introducing the main seven paras of Wisteria, the friend group at the center of it all.

Isaiah Vicars, Wisteria’s resident traumatized emo guy. He’s cold and unfriendly, and his trust is incredibly difficult to earn - but once you’ve got his loyalty, you’ve got it forever. He’s also the only member of the gang who’s killed a man before :) several men actually

Ability: Puppeteer

Vicars can “puppeteer” living creatures by manipulating a certain vibration to trigger chemical signals in the brain - controlling the muscle and body, but not the mind. He’s learned to channel it through verbal commands.

Ayo Ifalaye, the shyest of the gang. They’re extremely anxious and easily overwhelmed, but he’s also an incredibly sweet person and a gentle, caring friend.

Ability: Sonic Hearing

Ayo hears all sounds at a super humanly extreme level. He could hear a pin drop twenty miles away. All this loud noise is super overwhelming and painful, so they wear a set of powerful, specially made noise-canceling headphones to keep things quiet.

Julia Kimura, weirdgirl extraordinaire. She’s got more energy than most of the school combined, and she’s always got some wild side project going on that she may or may not finish. She’s the one who brought the group together, mostly through forcibly adopting them all as her friends one at a time.

Ability: Storm

Julia quite literally has a storm trapped inside of her - an incredibly destructive one at that. She has to constantly focus on keeping it down, but it tends to explode out when she’s scared or upset.

Connor Kimura, the gothic graveyard lurker. He thinks himself something of a tragic poet, spending most of his time hanging out in the creepiest places on the island. He doesn’t talk much around strangers, though, so you don’t get to hear his melodramatic poetry unless he likes you.

Ability: Ghostseer

Connor has the ability to see and interact with the spirits of the deceased. He struggles with figuring out whether the new people he meets are dead or alive, which is why he tends to stay quiet around them.

Alice Royal, the self-proclaimed charisma, a.k.a. the theatre kid. She’s the one who walks around singing showtunes whenever she’s bored. Alice is charming and funny, a master of befriending people and getting them to listen to her.

Ability: Colorshift

By touching any object or living thing, Alice can change it’s color to whatever she wants. She uses this mostly to change the color of her hair, but it has other uses.

Laurie Mayday, tech whiz with an addiction to shiny things. She’s the smartest member of the group, and possibly even more abysmal than Vicars at social situations. She comes off as grumpy and irritable, but she’s really just tired.

Ability: Wings

Laurie has a pair of massive wings with razor sharp feathers. She has to be careful to avoid getting them caught on things like doorways and other people’s clothes. Those things are pointy.

Jasmine “Jazz” Bernard, local plant mom and forest cryptid. She spends most of her time in the woods behind the school, hanging out with her tree buddies. She’s carefree and chill, and also among the most creative of the group.

Ability: Plant communication

Jasmine has the ability to communicate with - not control - any kind of plant matter. Fortunately for her, most of the plants think she’s pretty cool and are willing to help her out.

This one is pretty easy since I colorcode their names lol but I will go into specifics this time!

Isaiah Vicars - Black. Emo ass mf

Ayo Ifalaye - Orange, but specifically a nice warm sunset tone.

Alice Royal - A bright, vibrant green, almost neon but not quite

Julie Kimura - Hot neon pink. The kind that stands out anywhere.

Connor Kimura - Dark navy blue! Also a brown/beige color

Laurie Mayday - Bright, aggressive red.

Jazz Bernard - A light, airy pastel purple

Canary Samstine - A nice canary yellow, just like her name!

Elijah Moss - Soft sage green

Doctor Roseheel - Rose red for this funky old man <3

PARAMAY DAY 2 - PARA(S) + FAMILY

Wisteria Island is home to a large superhuman population, both adults and children, as well as several non-superhuman families.

Isaiah Vicars ran away from home at the age of nine, a year and a half before he was found by Wisteria. His parents were both abusive and incredibly religious, and when they discovered his abilities, they believed he was possessed. After an extremely traumatic exorcism that left him with more scars than he can count, he ran away and lived on the streets for a long time. He hasn’t seen his parents since, and he doesn’t want to. Rather than being adopted by one of Wisteria’s other residents, Vicars entered the mentorship program with Professor Gravely and lives in his dorm at the school.

Ayo Ifalaye’s parents were both killed a few months before he was found by Wisteria. Ayo was being hunted down by a shadowy organization known as the Echoes, and their parents died protecting them. He’s still working through the trauma of it. They currently live in their dorm at the school after joining the mentorship program under Arcade Kimura.

Connor and Julia Kimura are twins, and their parents - Arcade and Cassandra - both are superhuman and work at the academy. Cassandra teaches physics and French, and Arcade is one of the guidance counselors. They also have a six-month-old brother named Liam, and they keep arguing over which of them will be his favorite sibling.

Alice Royal’s mother died in childbirth, and she and her father have been on the run together since Alice’s powers were discovered. After being found by Wisteria, they live together on the island. Alice’s father, Cather Royal, has no superhuman abilities, and the island is a lot for him to adapt to, but he’s trying his best.

Laurie Mayday’s parents died when she was a baby. She was found not long after by Wisteria and adopted and raised by the academy’s main tech guy, Dan Mayday. He taught her everything she knows, and the two are extremely close. However, she does live in the dorms at the school, mostly because Dan is always working on something and doesn’t go home very often.

Jazz Bernard has never met her father, but grew up with a single mother, Elizabeth Bernard. She and her mother have a somewhat tense relationship - their personalities clash severely, and there are a lot of topics that they argue on all the time. They struggle to really communicate with each other and thus spend most of their time apart - one of the reasons that Jazz is in the forest whenever she has free time.
