“R.O.Y.G.B.I.V”

Life is like the Rainbow; red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. Hi, I am Mia Patricia and if you are interested in my life, then you are in the right place and time to discover the 7 colors comes with a story, a Journey.

In my life, the colors of the rainbow have woven a rich and dynamic narrative that spans the spectrum of emotions and experiences. Like the red hues of love and joy, I can still reminisce how my parents had the joyful moments when I, the first born child came to this world. My mama and papa would always color my life with red hues, full of love despite of our shortcomings. I remember this specific event in my life, It was Christmas and they gave me a present, It was my first ever doll and I can’t imagine how happy I am. There’s also event wherein I think many girls can relate, I cut my hair when I was a child out of curiosity and put a red lipstick all over my face and shirt, and then my mama saw me and panicked thinking it was blood so I end up getting scolded because of what I did. The childhood journey with full of self-discovery, innocence, and boundless curiosity.

As adolescence unfolded, the narrative took on the shades of orange-period of transition and exploration. Like the warm embrace of a sunset, I navigate through the challenges of self-identity, where I hated pink before thinking that I am not a girl but end up being obsess with pink and violet. Friendships that brought me a lot of changes in life and perspective. The influence of good and bad, friends whom I can call family. I had a lot of childhood friend and some of theme are still my friends today. I have a favorite friend, actually she’s my cousin, we play together like we’re sisters, but she died at the age of 6 because of some complications. I she would still be alive she’d still my favorite. The orange hues of this chapter illuminated the path to self-awareness, revealing my personality in the evolving canvas of my life. Moving through the yellow spectrum, tones of growth and enlightment emerged in my teenage years. The experiences of love, learning and personal evolution cast a golden glow on my life’s story. Some say that childhood is the best—well honey you haven’t been in your teenage years. Puppy love, heartbreaks, and realization of life plus maturing. My first heartbreak was when I was in grade 11 from my first boyfriend. He’s an asshole, swear. But after the heartbreak, I learned a lot, my mama said “hindi lahat ng nakikilala natin ay mag-tatagal” and that will hit us hard, thinking that he’ll be the one, but actually NO. Just like the sun paints the world with a golden warmth, these moments added depth and understanding to the chapters of my life as I sail along this journey. The rest of the colors, still figuring out, but I guess I would probably back here and add more stories once I figured out those colors and would be happy to share it.

Each chapters, a stroke on the canvas of my life that is not yet done, contributes to the soon-to-be masterpiece of a life lived in full colors.
