For as long as I’ve been in Maine I have dreamt of having a portrait on the cover of a magazine! How fitting that three of my favorite things, @downeastmagazine, sustainable forestry, and chainsaws would coalesce into my dream coming true! This story was a pitch to @downeastmagazine that I had been wanting to work on for a while now. I was so pleased to be able to have the opportunity to photograph this story. These portraits were something I thought of the night before the shoot. I wanted to make some portraits of team members after a full practice, sweaty, and covered in sawdust.
