Am I the only one who feel super depressed after finishing the demo? I just wanna hug my MC and tell them they deserve the world (and some friends! Like real friends!!)

C’mon can we just not run away somewhere and do some stupid stuffs. Leave all depressing matters like their father or the rROs behind?

who is you fav character to write? Is it V? **this is obviously not me trying to lure out other information about ROs. Absolutely not!**

I know we shouldn’t pick a favorite, but hmmm let’s see. I think my most fav character to write is not even a RO 🤔 ((You will get to meet her in the next chapter that’s for sure. And I hope everyone can shower her some love.))

As for ROs, right now you may feel the bias toward V purely bc V is the only one who interacts with MC in the current update. Besides from being one of the ROs, V is also one of the Chosen Ones of this story, and actively acts as an usher to the new players. So I would say the general content about V didn’t stem from my bias or favoritism toward them but more about them being one of the plot devices I use. Sounds cold and cliché I know but every story has one.

You do get more contents from V regardless of your present relationship with V however.

As for other ROs, I definitely enjoy writing all of them. But Sandalphon is the most difficult one to write, so every times there’s a scene where they are involved I feel momentarily emotionally drained that I need to take a break from writing.

Love all of them equally honestly, feel a bit grown while writing them as well, like learning something together yknow?

So I finished demo and I need to say I really love the world building and I can tell how much effort has been put into these little details. It’s really immersive like I was watching a movie where I can control what the main character doing.

I have a question about Jeremiah. What being a Sage in this world mean? He can heal people? Or it is like a priest?

“He can heal people.” Why did I just have a PTSD of a certain fps game character with a black ponytail with the exact same name?

But the funny thing is, Jeremiah can heal people. Only because of his exceptional knowledge of course.

About the Sage thing :

Sages in Eutopia act like the consultants who you can rely on which are different to the Deans in Regency system who work directly to the Parliament (which MC’s father serves as the president) and only kept to themselves (Deans are court officials, the Sages are not.). I might need to bring out the infographic about bicameralism real soon if anyone’s interested in Eutopia’s politics (it is not a center of focus yet, however, there will be a route where politics can be one of the main themes.)

Does a Sage equal a priest irl?

Now if we compare a priest with a Sage, the picture is quite a resemblance you could say it’s similar but a Sage doesn’t act relatively on a profound belief/religious instruction of some sort. Only pure knowledge and deductions, you could say they are scholars/scientists/innovators/specialists of something. (Not all Sages are scientists but all scientists are called Sages. If that makes sense.) Just so you know tho Sages are just citizens who happen to be clever than other people. They hold no authority over others.

Jeremiah looks more important simply because of his number of years, and his close relationship with Bastien—who later became the current president—and entrusted him to take care of his child and some other matters both personal and in general.

Jeremiah will not involve in politics, however, that isn’t what he wishes to be a part of (no matter how much he’s already involved by associating with Bastien.). He hates aristocracy. Regency system most especially.

Eutopia is a society where everyone is held at face value. Everyone wants to be important (and feel important) and helps society to progress so the education system is highly competitive and focused on mastering several studies to an expert level in a short amount of time. In the parliament’s pov, a life of a Sage is worth than a hopeless child’s. Because of the knowledge they hold.

For the other question, I will say this : All ROs already been mentioned at least once in the first update. And once they physically show up you would know right away they are the secret RO.

They all are aware. Since they’re also ones of the few people who know about MC’s existence in the first place.

But the level of how deep each of ROs know about MC’s health conditions is definitely different, which will be revealed in future updates!

Thank you. I was trying to restrain myself from answering asks but this one is quite valid. And no it’s not spoiling anything. At least not to the level of harming your experience.

The answer is yes and no. V is the first one who you will see (as you might have noticed if you followed the blog since the day I dropped a post about BET game feature) no matter what, but you may not meet everyone in your first run. It depends on your choice.

Meeting them all in one playthrough is possible, and it’s not difficult at all to do that.

Appearance : 5’10’’/6’3’’ Honey skin. Angular silver eyes of Stargazer that will constantly remind you where the rising star of Eutopia got all that sharp-look from.

They have rather remarkable straight jet-black hair. 

For M!Sandal his ink-like hair is well-taken care of and reaches around his waist. And for F!Sandal she decides to keep it trimmed around her shoulder in a sleek bob style without bangs.

Both of their counterparts dress in their household uniform. A standing collar top with matching-color skirt.

They always carry a teak-wooden cane around like a die-hard habit. Must be some irreversible injury in the past, hence why the need of use.

It is worth noting that they refuse to go anywhere without it. Will it become a weakness we can easily hammer upon in the near future?

Motivation : Mending an invisible wound between two factions.

We need to make sure they stick to their role as dedicated peacemaker and nothing more.

Relationships : 

Dana/Darren is their biological heir. They have a decent parent-child relationship. However, there is not much parental-bonding happening in the household, and Sandalphon seems to avoid bringing up any topics that directly relate to their child in the parliament.

President Palmer shares a mutual respect for one another. As the Head of Deans, Sandalphon often serves as a helpful aide to the president whenever he needs advice. Whether it be governing matters or something else that can become mutinous, we cannot say yet.

Appearance : 5’2’’/5’8’’ Rosy skin. Dark shade of crimson Alter-eye color, while other Alters own more of Grayish hair color shades, Vegaris has bright silver, almost white hair that trails down at the base of their neck. Both of their counterparts have similar styles, only difference is F!Vegaris has a velvet choker with a small ruby stone around her neck meanwhile M!Vegaris has his in an earring version. Pieced beautifully at his left ear. Same side as his dominant hand.

They both wear white gloves and white hygienic masks like other Alters. And they dress in a simple plain white tunic and a pair of white slacks. Except F!V wears black heels, and M!V a pair of leather loafers.

Average build. Doesn’t look like the hand-to-hand combat type.

Motivation : Unknown. 

Relationships :

President Palmer notably trusts them. Allow them to spend their free time outside work as they’re pleased, raise and talk to them as one of his own kids. They live in a private mansion Palmer secretly owns somewhere in Uptown.

Both parents died in a fire accident more than ten years ago. Palmer was present and took the kid in out of pity. One of his few mistakes and weaknesses.

Appearance : 5’ 6”/5’ 11” Olive Skin. Twinkly round eyes like two pods of white almonds under their monolids. Midnight dark hair that curls around their sharp jawline. Dana's long hair reaches around her waist in a neatly-combed manner except for her curly bangs. Meanwhile Darren's styled in a slick-back cut, a single strand of the front fallen around his silver-Gazer eye disobediently.

Both are often seen wearing tailored black suits that fit their lean figures perfectly. It is a well-known fact that the only child of Head Dean, Sandalphon, has been practicing several studies of martial arts since young. Much to the parliament's dismay.

Motivation : Being accepted by society and their parent, Sandalphon Regency

Wanting to be accepted. Wanting to be recognized. Hence, remained oblivious at how dangerous they can be—with the power to wield general public opinion like a sword tearing through the veil of system. They need to be supervised. If out of control… the damage cannot be compromised.

Relationships :

Dean Sandalphon is their biological parent. They have a decent parent-child relationship. However, there is not much parental-bonding happening in the household, and the kid's insecurities stem from the lack of it.

President Palmer seems pleased with D's performances. The kid is an all-rounder, and the two work together often enough for Palmer to occasionally invite them over to his private mansion.

Will gender of ROs matter? I saw Vegaris has different manners in the butterfly effect post. Can u introduce them more?

It does matter! And that’s because 1) the society treats them differently and 2) their personality for either counterpart cultivated from how people treated them in the past. It’s a two way street situation. Simple as it may sound, it is also because of their race/species/social status

I will talk about each of the ROs more in upcoming teasers. But for now

From strikingly different to almost the same;

Vegaris

F!Vegaris and M!Vegaris are smh almost two separated beings—That is because their position as an Alter and how they perceive things growing up in the society where most Alters are viewed as another class of creatures. The way they carry themselves is different. Female Vegaris can be a bit more carefree, especially around you. But Male Vegaris will be on-guard and rarely relax himself around other people. There’s a reason why both behave the way they do. And yes, I cannot say yet bc it’s major spoiler.

Sandalphon

First of all, the reason why both Sandals are so much different in their manners, their behaviors (mostly internal turmoils) is because their different positions as one’s mother and one’s father.

F!Sandalphon will always be judged upon if she shows any emotions towards people esp her kid, being a single-mom in the parliament full of men is not easy. Her opinions often taken as less valid just because of her role as a guardian and a mother. She wants to spend a lot of time with D but couldn’t—if she does, it will allow people to criticize her as fragile. Being a mother without a partner already tainted her image as a failure so she couldn’t afford to do that.

Overall, F!Sandal is more on edge than her counterpart. Hence, whenever she’s near you (and if you do choose your sex as a female) she looks way more relaxed and true to herself.

M!Sandalphon thinks he has to be there for his kid, but because of his duty as a Dean of Regency, he tends to suppress himself from doing things that’s not aligned w his duties (like showing that he cares when it’s not that necessary) and against his public image. He may look like a cold father to D and can appear to be a bit distant to others, but he will always have soft spot for you. Since you’re forbidden to leave your own place, he always does things that he couldn’t do with D to you (just like his counterpart-self), and you may take it like he is smh trying to redeem himself through you.

M!Sandal is a bit harder to read since he is so consumed by social standards that were forced upon himself that he looks like he has lost himself along the way. But he is more calm when it comes to D’s matters while F!Sandal will be a bit more protective and upfront.

In conclusion, both of Sandalphon really needs a warm hug. But they just don’t know that they do.

Dana/Darren

Just like the other two, Dana will behave a bit more careful and collected meanwhile Darren radiates with perfectly built (but also glass-like) confidence because of social norms on their respective gender.

Dana’s list of groom candidates exhaust her but she cannot let it get her. Meanwhile she is not allowed to act like she doesn’t care either so it’s hard to place herself in a position where she would be neither considered as ‘too emotional’—nor ‘not rigid enough for a Dean’s daughter’. So once she’s granted the official permission with her Chosen husband-to-be, she behaves accordingly to her part and now projecting more confident than she ever was. She has a lifeline to grasp now. And she couldn’t afford to fail like her mother/father.

Darren is not that different in that regard, he was just forced to hide that he is afraid of what came after, internally speaking he is even more unstable than his counterpart because he never learnt to deal with not being ‘the Face’ of Stargazer community unlike Dana who suspected that she will need to face the reality of not living up to your own name ever since she was a girl due to her parent’s reputation. But both are equally acting on a role that does not fit themselves, and always working hard to protect their image.

It seems like I can more about the latter two because it was expected from their intro descriptions. But Vegaris is… I can’t really say anything before the demo is dropped. So sorry, Anon!!

MC is around the same age as D. So they are 22 y/o, I will let the players decide whether they were born before or after D for headcanons/dynamics' sakes!
