It’s both comforting and concerning that Qrow doesn’t seem to know why Salem wants the Relics. He just knows enough to agree with Ozpin that she CAN’T be allowed to get all four

Yo but what ARE the Relics though? I assume they’ve gotta be pretty cool looking, if they’re ancient magical artifacts, but legit. What are they. Are they four of the same thing, or are they all different? Are what they are related to the aspect they each hold?

Also these are why Ozpin called the chess pieces from Initiation “Relics” aren’t they? Clever bastard was making a reference, hate him

Interesting to me that like most things in RWBY there’s four Relics. Four members of a Huntsman team, four schools, four Maidens, four Relics.

But there’s only TWO gods. That a big enough break in pattern for me to think that there’s two other gods that even OZPIN doesn’t know about. Not sure what they’d be gods of since the brothers seem pretty yin and yang with their Light and Darkness. Something for me to think about

To answer your questions

The world at large probably doesn’t know about Salem for the same reason they don’t know about the Maidens. Because it would insight widespread panic, which is NOT a good idea when the main weapon of the enemy are monsters that are literally attracted by negative emotions

I still disagree with this plan, by the way. As I mentioned earlier, the main message of this show is strength in trust and companionship and friendship, so NOT leaning in on the strength in numbers thing seems like a terrible idea

Second question, you’re probably not in more hurry to get to Haven because it’s likely their headmaster already knows they’re one of the next targets. The Fall of Beacon was televised, and if I were a headmaster of one of the other academies I would assume that my Relic was the next to be taken

The other headmasters are in Oz’s group, if Ironwood is anything to go by, so they know what’s really at stake
