well okay i say sylvan wouldn't be important as a canon character— and he wouldn't be— but i think his shtick would be that after bw2 he just keeps showing up. like you could probably find him in XY and ORAS and SM and so on and so forth and he would hang around and continue being unimportant. even less important than in bw2 in fact. but he'd be there! cuz his trainer class is wanderer for god's sake of course he'd be everywhere
