SUPER DARK TIMES

Situated somewhere between Gus Van Sant’s ELEPHANT (2003) and Marc Meyers’ MY FRIEND DAHMER, both in tone and aesthetics, Kevin Phillips’ SUPER DARK TIMES (2017) does a surprisingly good job of sustaining its uneasy tone from the start. Latchkey middle-schoolers Zach (Owen Campbell) and Josh (Charlie Tahan) are best friends who hang out debating the finer points of comic book characters and which girls at their school they’d like to make it with. When Tahan accidentally kills an obnoxious friend, however, Campbell helps him hide the body and then becomes consumed by guilr. Worse still, he starts to suspect Tahan of other crimes. The film focuses almost entirely on Zach’s psychology, and Campbell, who was in his early 20s at the time, does a good job of conveying the young man’s inner life through a combination of bold strokes and subtlety. The screenwriters, Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski, set their story in the mid ‘90s, and somehow placing the young characters two decades in the past makes their foolish choices more acceptable. Are the ‘90s suddenly seeming an age of innocence after four years of rampant corruption and incompetence? The film’s only flaw is its ending, which changes point of view and leaves a major character’s fate up in the air. Until then, however, it’s a pretty compelling thriller with some hints of surrealism.

𝗥𝗜𝗨𝗗𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗧𝗦 𝗦𝗘𝗚𝗨𝗜́

𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚 𝐒𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐢́ nació en Palma de Mallorca, al igual que sus tres hijos. A los dieciocho años decidió opositar para entrar a formar parte de las Fuerzas Armadas Españolas. Comenzó en un puesto de administración en el Cuartel General del Ejército del Aire, en Madrid.

Allí conoció a 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐑𝐢𝐮𝐝𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐭𝐬, madrileño de ascendencia mallorquina que estudiaba medicina. Fueron pareja hasta que Margalida ascendió a suboficial, y no fue hasta cuatro años después que los dos volvieron a encontrarse. Decidieron volver a intentarlo, y un año más tarde se unieron en matrimonio.

Con la Carrera Militar de Ingeniería Aeronáutica, Margalida consiguió plaza en su querida isla natal. Miguel se mudó encantado, y desde entonces ejerce como cirujano en el Hospital Sant Joan de Deu en Palma de Mallorca.

Marc nació dos años después que 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐚, la primogénita de la familia.

Igual que su madre, Guida eligió entrar a formar parte del Ejército del Aire Español al cumplir los dieciocho años. A día de hoy, con veinticinco, forma parte de la EZAPAC (Escuadrón de Zapadores Paracaidistas), Unidad de Operaciones Especiales Aéreas localizada en la Base Aérea de Alcantarilla, en Murcia.

El pequeño de la familia es 𝐉𝐨𝐚𝐧, que a día de hoy tiene siete años. Vive con sus padres en Palma y con tan corta edad ya espera a ser tenista profesional.

Aquest matí toca intendència. Estem connectats pel telèfon amb el Xavi i el Martí, els dos Ingenus que han voltat per Colombia amb l’espectacle Fuenteovejuna, i que tornen aquesta tarda per integrar-se en el treball que estrem fent i formar part de la presentació del dimecres.

Al Marc li toca bugada, la resta anem al supermercat a fer una bona compra que ens duri gairebé fins a finals de la setmana. En aquesta compra, cada vegada que comprem alguna cosa diem “pensem que hi ha el Xavi i el Martí”, i sempre agafem un producte de més ja que els nostres companys tenen, el que en diríem: “saque”.

A la tarda, treballem l’escena inicial amb la Cristina, posant el foco d’atenció en aquesta Miranda que duu un objecte a les mans, com si fos un vaixell, i com no pot envitar que succeeixi la tempesta. Intentem que casar la necessitat de “muntatge” i d’anar tancant coses de cara a la presentació, amb mantenir viva la investigació. I dediquem una bona estona a acabar de trobar els detalls que acompanyin el llenguatge d’aquesta escena d’inici.

Deia un director que si el principi i el final d’un espectacle és bo, ja ho tens tot fet. “Distingieixo”: Un inici d’espectacle necessita d’una afinació extra ja que és l’eina que es dóna al públic per crear, entre ells i companyia el pacte de la ficció. Per altra banda, el final, és el comiat d’uns i altres d’aquest pacte, i també necessita d’aquesta atenció. Però això no vol dir oblidar el nucli dels espectacles, és clar. Entenent així els inicis i els finals, entenem també la idea de “ritus” que tan ens passa pel cap.

Seguim transitant per les escenes i tant des de fora (la direcció) com des de dins (els intèrprets) anem prenent consciencia de la globalitat de la peça.

Al vespre arriben en Martí i en Xavi, i els hi ensenyem tot el que hem fet. Ells que no han viscut el procés d’aquests dies venen amb una mirada que no ha estat impregnada de tot el recorregut que hem fet per arribar fins aquí. De manera que després de veure l’exercici, aporten aire fresc a noves idees al que els hi hem ensenyat.

El Marc els introdueix en les escenes i el Xavi i el Martí van entenent la atmosfera que han d’acompanayar amb el seu treball.

Finalment, repassem amb la Neus les veus de les cançons, ajustem alguns arranjaments i des del principi, fem un passi de tota la peça.

Dit i fet. Tanquem els llums de la sala d’assaig i fins demà.

L’Appel de Marseille Pour la Création National d’un Registre Des Cancers et des Malformations Congénitales Et Particulièrement dans la Métropole-Aix-Marseille-Provence

Madame la Ministre de la Santé,

Nous, responsables d’associations engagées dans l’environnement, médecins hospitalo-universitaires, chercheurs, juristes, épidémiologistes, élus locaux et nationaux réunis le 1er Décembre 2018 à Marseille par l’association citoyenne « Innovons Pour Marseille Métropole » faisons le constat que la situation de la Métropole d’Aix-Marseille-Provence et plus largement de la France sur le plan de la santé environnementale est une urgence compte tenu de la pollution (air, sol, eau) exceptionnelle constatée sur ce territoire et sur l’ensemble du territoire français. Afin d’accompagner une évaluation des risques sanitaires sur ce territoire et permettre une politique préventive, nous demandons en urgence la mise en place d’un registre des malformations congénitales et d’un registre général des cancers sur la Metropole Aix-Marseille-Provence et sur l’ensemble du territoire national. Ces outils sont indispensables dans le dispositif de surveillance de l’état de santé en France car les seuls en mesure d’identifier d’éventuels clusters autour de points noirs environnementaux nombreux notamment sur notre territoire routier, industriel, agricole et portuaire. Cette demande s’inscrit totalement dans les recommandations du PNSE (Plan National Sante-Environnement) actuel (2015-2019) et à venir en cours d’élaboration, qui définit parallèlement au développement d’outils de mesure des expositions environnementales (pollutions atmosphériques, perturbateurs endocriniens, solvants, métaux lourds, pesticides, champs électromagnétiques, la notion d’exposome nécessitant obligatoirement une analyse exhaustive des cas de cancers et de malformations congénitales afin de pouvoir agir sur les causes environnementales .
