However, just because Richard is in Illinois does not mean the pressure is off the Monkeys as they had to scramble to get the van into paint already later than Mike Coy would have preferred. Hoping to catch up Mike tries a new paint, but it’s just not delivering the deep black he, or Richard, is looking for, so it’s back to basics with base coat, clear coat three times each which will take him the better part of three days… And nearer the deadline than he’d like to be.

As Mike and Tony Cano feel the pressure in the paint booth, Jason Aker is feeling it in regards to getting the 1965 Shelby that Richard and Dennis bought running. It also didn’t help that Jason had indicated to Richard that he could easily double his $300,000 investment in the car once it’s running. Yet even with the aid of Charles Cimino, Jeremy Cheatham and a custom fabricated tool the trio were unable to get the motor unfrozen.
