osamu crushing on reader throughout wastelands is canon ???? can you share any specific instances that rin or anyone else noticed sumn was going on there bc i just thought he was being nice BUT i also make that mistake irl too lmao i’m pretty oblivious

i can never explicitly state it bc i wanted wastelands to be all about y/n – suna – sophia but it’s safe to assume that rin notices the little things samu does for her like how he gave her the last piece of the granola bar on the first chapter, or when he held her hand in comfort (in the hummer). samu also never teases rin and y/n together, although that’s tsumu’s job.

remember when the gated community was infested by zs and y/n was like “i wanna be with osamu!” and then i think rin brought it up at the camp bc he’s jealous.

lastly, when rin was on the verge of 🧟‍♂️ he chose to ask osamu to look after y/n. not only bc it’s logical over atsumu but bc he trusts him with her knowing that osamu could love her the same way he did

— i’m sorry for the recent delays for the past chapters. i’ve been going out of schedule simply bc i’m having a hard time putting my energy into writing after a toxic work day (it’s peak season at work).

— that being said, i will try to post part nine and part ten as scheduled. the last two chapters will be very hard to write because of the themes that will take place (writing abt emotions take so much effort and my brain is fried at this point), but thank you for all the theories and the rants. they bring me so much joy. for now, i ask you guys to be a little more patient with me. the series will end soon <3

sorry for delaying it by 1 hour! just wanna say a quick thank you for all the love and support you guys have given to this series. the reason why i’d been so motivated to finish wastelands is because of the enthusiasm you guys give into each chapter i put out. all the theories, the reactions, the memes, the fact that i get 100+ asks each chapter — i never thought that this apocalypse au of mine would even have the slightest bit of attention. i looked forward to waking up each day just to read what theories you guys come up with bc i am sooo amazed and grateful. so thank you, from the bottom of my heart, it’s been a pleasure <3 ‘til the next series!

the director yelled, "thank you everyone! this is definitely one of the mose sought for series and I am truly sad to see it end." everyone in the room was emotional, yet ecstasy filled their hearts as people across the world witness such a heartbreakingly beautiful story of friendship, love and survival.

"we would like to thank Ai for creating the story this show is based off too, as co-director, I am glad to have worked with such a talented writer as yourself." the director spoke.

Atsumu, Osamu, Asher, Kita, Sophia, Aran and all the supporting cast were present for the last day of shooting all awestruck with joy. And finally the couple who broke our hearts, yet made us believe in the power of love, Suna Rintarou and Y/N.

"... Also I would like to congratulate, Suna and y/n, they are expecting!"

Suna, now out of costume, looked at you with so much love in his eyes, "my love" he says as he nuzzles his nose in your hair.

“How’d it feel when Sophia and suna had their sex and romance scenes?” You laugh at the reminder of how often the cast teased you about being jealous. “It hurt a bit but then again ya gotta remember that Sophia and Haru are together” at that you look to the couple posing for the cameras to your right. Sophia looks absolutely stunning while she smiles into the paparazzi. You need to get lunch sometime soon, you think.

“Shit sorry I’m late!” And there comes the star of the show. Suna stumbles up the red carpet all the while flashing smiles in different directions. “Forgot the emergency baby bag” he tells the interviewer as you all laugh.

“Trust him to be late to a red carpet premiere for his baby” atsumu chuckles

“Yea if we’re being honest, he nearly threw a fit when he found out y/n would be running from left to right. Mans was about to lose his mind!” Aran tells the camera

“ we loved seeing him so protective though. Made us all excited for the baby” at that Sophia and haru make their way over to the rest of the cast.

You kiss her cheek and she rubs your belly and beams at you. “ I seriously can’t wait to be an aunt!” You think you can’t wait for her to tell haru the good news.

“Well as much as we’d like to chat and all. The previews are starting very soon so please excuse us” Kita wishes the cameras a Farewell as you make your way into the theatres.

Not before kuroo drags Atsumu and Bokuto away from the camera just as they bring up how the pregnancy jokes were the best part of the movie.
