#she will have some amazing and current fantasy recs written by poc <3 #i used to consume fantasy lit faster than i could buy / borrow them as a teen but as an adult i’ve struggled w the genre #also genre is a made up construct by publishing companies so i take that back. i don’t struggle w the genre — i just struggle w finding #well-written and constructed fantasy novels that draw me in and don’t just make me frustrated w publishing companies for sticking to #the same formulaic stories bc they know it’ll get them a certain audience and that’s all they care
