Akira's Birthday 2023!! ( Feb 26th but accepting through 3/3 )

"For me huh? You sure?". His face is beet red from being embarrassed as Akira isn't known to get affection from anyone, including his girlfriend Sumire since she's normally really shy when it comes to him and his presence. Which is somewhat here too, but at least there was an attempt at a little bit of courage.

Akira takes the gifts in hand and notice that most of the snacks are ones that he's been seen eating lately. He wonders why Sumire got him those since she really is more of a health nut than Akira was by a mile. Maybe today was an exception because it was his birthday.

"Thanks Sumi. Now I gotta make sure your birthday next month is just as great as this or even better". Akira holds his gifts in one hand which had the bracelet already put on his wrist and takes Sumire's own with his not preoccupied hand and holds it, swinging a little as they walk down the road and back to LeBlanc where the birthday party was still going on. A smile both on their faces.

Akira's Birthday 2023!! ( Feb 26th but accepting through 3/3 )

Akira's not sure when Sumire knew what type of cake to get him for his birthday but he was happy anyways. He's sure to make a note to ask her later but for now, he stares at the present, as it's about to fall over and onto the plate.

"I guess I have to be as 'fast as eyes'". Akira jokes before taking out a fork and starts eating the second layer as that was the weakest link in the cake at the moment. It's not too bad and it is edible. There was a lack of real fruit put into it though but not everyone has a father that wanted to become a pastry chef but settled on becoming a detective that taught his son the value of excellent desserts when Akira was younger.

Anyways, with a mouth full of cake, Akira tries to swallow a piece before he starts talking again. It would be rude and gross of him to start talking during that. "It's good. And you don't have to stop calling me senpai. Hell, my mom still gets called Ms. Amano even though my parents are married. So it's okay to keep calling me that honorific since I consider it a little nickname because everyone else doesn't call me that".

Akira finishes the cake afterwards. He wonders if he should had offered Sumire a piece but he had been so happy about getting a strawberry cake that all thoughts of sharing had gone out the window. "Thanks Sumire. Maybe in a month I can make you some tarts as a present. I'm sure you will love them....and get inspiration to get better".

“Sure. As long as you don’t comment about my eating habits or lack of nutrition like last time”. When they were both still in the same school and before all literal hell broke lose in early months of a new year back then. The feeling of eating together felt like an eternity ago with Sumire going to the Olympic prelims and everything and Akira’s life still trying to get into racing cars one way or another. Still, it was nice to just practice summersaults with his precious person. Made it seemed like there wasn’t a time limit on his life at the moment.

“Think we can go to the pancake house? And no, I’m being serious here. I love pancakes. They are delicious. Hey, stop looking like that at me. I swear I am not trying to make a joke on someone’s behalf”. He has his hands up in the air in surrender, trying to make sure he wasn’t making cheap shots at a certain detective. Akira actually liked pancakes. Especially ones that had a lot of syrup and strawberries.

Giving a kiss to someone you loved should had been a no contest but for Sumire it was a bit difficult considering everything that had happened in her mere fifteen years on this earth. She was still doubtful even if they had spent a good amount bonding over things and walking a path towards the future together. Perhaps the feeling would never go away but that didn’t matter in the long run. No matter how many bad thoughts she would have someone still believed in her and what she was capable of becoming. Sumire doesn’t know how her life would had been the same if she didn’t meet the boy with the dark messy hair and bright determined eyes. The one who shattered the reality placed on her and those who had succumbed to it due to the pains of their own past.

Ren might not had seen himself as a knight in shining armor but to her, he was. And she’s so thankful that she had the chance to meet him and dance together even if she herself was masquerading as a shell of her older sister at the time. So she steels herself and doesn’t have any regrets as she lightly kisses him on the lips. A little shy still, Sumire goes back to being a blushing mess afterwards, wondering if that was an okay thing to do. However, when Ren kisses her back, the world and everything in it goes away except for the two of them. No more thoughts plague her head, her heart actually taking charge for once, lost in love and belonging. Just being with Ren made sense and Sumire feels truly happy than any point in her life leading up to this moment.

Hell yes, I am interested. I’m such a sucker for ShuKasu / ShuSumi, It’s my main OTP for this blog since they are so cute together even if some people think this ship is forced throughout the game. I genuinely don’t reach out to protagonist blogs because of this since I don’t like the idea of forced ships. I even state that she has a crush on the protagonist and that if that makes anyone uncomfortable, I would tone it back for them. So am I really thankful for you to reach out to me like this. Kasumi/Sumire doesn’t quite know about this until later when Akira tells her about their previous victories before she was on the team but still loves going to the buffet. Kasumi/Sumire feeds Morgana beans and only beans and Akira finds it both hilarious and adorable. 4. Earlier on, Kasumi/Sumire had to ask permission to enter Akira’s personal space because she had noticed that he didn’t like too many people so close to him. The relationship now is a little better since Kasumi/Sumire doesn’t have to ask as often. She giggles at Akira when he claims that he isn’t a cat while Kasumi/Sumire pats his fluffy hair.

7. Sumire doesn’t really see herself getting married, especially if the one she’s dating also shares this sentiment. She rather focus on her dreams of being an elite gymnast. However, that might change if her s/o does want to get married. Maybe when she retires from the sports world, she would give it the concept a second thought. Although, Sumire does sometimes daydream about her future life with the protagonist if they are ever reunited.

8. No, not at all. Mainly because of Sumire’s low self-esteem and introverted nature. She could if the situation called for it, maybe having someone who is even more shy and withdrawn from the world around them but I doubt that would be the case. She tends to like those who are confident and know what they are doing. Sure, there are things that Sumire might have problems with but those are few and far between. She just wants some type of input, rather than just being dragged around.

9. Obliviously, Joker / Akira / Ren / Chair-kun / the Protagonist. Not going to lie. But some others that would be interesting would be Yusuke, Ryuji, Goro and Yuuki ( Mishima ). For Crossovers, anyone that’s around her age ( 15 to 17, high school aged ) and that have chemistry.

Trying not to feel awkward as Sumire was basically wearing his accessory on her face, she quickly spoke, clearly nervous to be given a compliment on her new appearance.

Maybe if she had brought her own glasses, they could had matched but now it wasn’t that way. Although Ren’s laugh made it somewhat more relaxed and he did look better without them on his own face. Of course, she would never tell him that. Not without her Kasumi personality anyways.

Sumire can’t plan anything in her life so dates also fall into this category. She’s the type to do things spontaneously so when people ask her to make plans, her mind draws a blank so fast, she just spouts out random things and hope the other person agrees with her or makes a better suggestion. Sumire can’t really think or plan ahead. That’s why her confession to the protagonist becomes so awkward after her declaration. Even in game she goes; ‘Oh shit? He said yes?? What do I do now? I didn’t think this through enough. Sumire.exe has stopped working’. She’s grateful to the other person if they have things mapped out, at least a little bit. Sumire is definitely a fan of surprises, just like with the white day event.

Sumire’s ideal love language would most definitely be quality time. More so because unlike her ‘sister’ persona mask that she uses at the beginning of the game, Sumire is actually quite introverted in many ways. Especially because in game, she’s mostly with the protagonist in a closed setting and just generally likes being alone with anyone she is romantically interested in. Including the famous ‘I just want only you to look at me’ scene. Her phone’s forgotten and there aren’t any customers around in LeBlanc to interrupt them. It’s just her and her special someone. Just being around someone is all that she really needs.
