Good evening everyone, today was was the first day of classes at the Antonius University.

As we all now this year the Crown Prince is staring his journey of higher education at the prestigious university, studying medicine as our sources tells us.

The Prince had to travel to university straight from his fathers funeral to not miss the first day of class. Apparently he did not even have time to stop at Stonehall castle on the way. the university is the most prestigious in the country and has been popular with the royals since royals started attending university.

The Prince is not the only notable newcomer to university this fall. The Prince is joined by his friends Oscar Westbrook and Mathias Aquino. As well as Lady Ella Alarcon, the eldest child of the Duke of Aurora.

Also starting university this year is the Swann twins, Melissa and Magdalena, the eldest children of award winning author Aldwynn Swann. The girls their mother told through social media is studying drama and science respectively.

💐 - I love your world-building

Thank you! My world-building is very piecemeal, I've never really sat down and thought very long and hard about any one piece of it. It's come over time, and a lot of it is honestly retroactive justifications for choices made out of narrative expedience.

For example: I decided Armorica was on a peninsula because I didn't want to have to think of neighboring countries. I decided the St. Fleurs are unfathomably wealthy because it makes the story easier if you're not asking where the money comes from. I decided the St. Fleurs made their money through ship-building and trade because it made sense given the fact the country is surrounded by water on three sides. I later added "whaling" to the list of profit-making enterprises because they're royals, so they should be bastards, and whaling is regarded unfavorably in the modern era (also I went to a whaling museum and wanted to apply my new knowledge).

I'm saying this because I want to be clear that I'm not a deliberate or committed world-builder. For me, lore emerges over time as a byproduct of working on the story -- I never regarded it as a prerequisite for writing or posting it.

Sometimes I worry that there are prospective royal simblr folk who're afraid to start sharing their stories because they don't have a ton of lore. If you're reading this and in that camp, I'd like to issue an open invitation to jump in with both feet, start posting, and trust yourself as a writer -- you'll figure it out as you go, and probably end up making more interesting decisions than you would had you sat down and tried to figure it all out in advance!

Prince Augusts visits hospital for the blind

Prince August did his first official engagement earlier this morning. He visited St.Lucia's hospital for the blind. a newly opened hospital which focuses on caring for the blind both when they are sick and hurt and more generally for their mental well being.

Prince August was met at the entrance by the owner and matron of the hospital, Ms Sophie Burteax. Sophie became invested in the well being of the blind after her own mother became blind 10 years ago.

Prince August was first shown the sick ward, where the hospital treats the ill. here he is shown speaking to a Mr Sam Springs who became blind slowly over time and is now in the hospital getting treated for meningitis.

The prince was then shown one of the speaking rooms, where blind people can get therapy sessions or just have someone to talk to. There the Prince had a chat with Doctor David Weir, a doctor who works at the hospital, and Mr Eric Flint, who went blind just last year after a car accident.

Lastly the Prince was shown the children's hall, a room which is purposed towards children having fun, both children in the hospital and healthy blind children. here the prince is sown playing dolls with Miss Margot Blair, who was born blind. Margot would later comment that her favourite part of the prince's visit was the funny voices he would give to the dolls.

at the boys house, Thursday night

[Mathias] Are you still working?

[August] I thought you were sleeping?

[Mathias] I was, and you should be sleeping too.

[August] I need to finish this assignment first. its due tomorrow at midnight and i both have a full day of uni then and the ballet in the evening. And i know for a fact that the ballet will last past midnight.

[Mathias] You will run yourself ragged if you keep this up. But the ballet starts at five, it cannot possibly last until after midnight.

[August] Its not the ballet itself that lasts so long, its the 'Society Banquet' that follows it. it is unheard of to leave that before midnight and you wont leave until two at the earliest if you don't want to seem rude to the hostess, I've heard that sometimes they last until midday the next day.

[Mathias] whats so bad about being rude one time?

[August] my reputation will be ruined. Seeing as this is my first time at such an event, and its the second most important of the season.

[Mathias] I can see how that is less than ideal, you ruining your reputation helps no one. well i at least will try to get some sleep.

[August] you are not moving to your bed?

[Mathias] Too much work, night.

[August] Good night, sleep well.

Reprieve at Ariadne's Cottage

Princess Annabelle stays over at her aunt Princess Ariadne's home. With Princess Ariadne's husband Kai and their children Alice and Ash. The remote cottage was a welcome reprieve from the sadness engulfing her own home, for Princess Annabelle. Most of all she enjoys her cousins Alice company as they are the same age.

Good morning everyone, today we have many exiting news to cover.

Firstly, early this morning the earl marshal has announced on behalf of the Queen, that The princess Ariadne is expecting her third child. The child's due date has also been revealed to be in late February.

Continuing with more royal news, Prince August is making his first public engagement today after stepping into the role of working royal. The prince's first engagement is to visit St. Lucia's hospital for the blind. It will be the first time since the hospital opened four years ago, that a royal will visit it. In the time between then and now the hospital has made major positive changes in its caring for the blind.

In other news the movie Forgotten souls are expected to make big waves at the box office when it releases on Wednesday.

[Magdalena] First party of university! how exiting, This is going to be so much fun.

[Melissa] I know, Ella was so excited about it, it is great to see how it turned out. oh I see Ella over there I'll go and say hi, catch u with you later.

[Melissa] Yes, Magdalena. This place looks amazing I am sure the party will be great.

[Ella] I sure hope so, my last party ended with everyone having to be evacuated.

[Ella] Anyway I like that so many people showed up, with a new crowd you never know.

[Melissa] Well seeing as it is a university crowd I'm not that surprised. but there must be some people here you know from before?

[Ella] There is the Duke of Hoffnought but he does not like partying, and then there is the Prince and his devious friends but they haven't showed up yet. The security detail is already in place though , which I appreciate. I will go and say hi to some other people now, have fun.

[Ella] So I have heard you have not had the best start to uni.

[August] No i have not, that is not the university's fault though. All the actual uni stuff have been nice. Its just the rest of it. Next week will be worse, when the engagement actually start.

[Ella] Luckily for you, I am throwing a party this Saturday. so you can get your mind of all this. The party is going to be great. I have invited as much people as possible and I have booked good place. everything is set for starting university with a bang.

[August] Good thing its on Saturday because my first engagement is 10 am on Monday, to visit the St. Lucia's hospital for the blind. I need to be and look my best for that. The party will be a nice, before the week of dread at least I will have fun. They are starting me of with three engagements in one week, I thought it would start slow but no.

[Ella] Oh, stop being dramatic. I know for a fact that one of those engagements is for the opening night of the Arthur ballet, which signals the beginning of the season. That is just going to be fun. I will be there and your aunt will be there. The Author of the books will be there and i have heard she will bring her children. And I have classes with one of the twins and she is great. I can introduce you at the party.

[August] I do suppose you have a point, and your party sounds more and more fun by the minute. it better live up to the expectations you set Ella.

[Ariadne] How are you doing sweetheart?

[Annabella] I am fine, I am totally fine.

[Ariadne] But there is something bothering you is there not?

[Annabella] Ugh well, Mum has locked herself in her room and refuses to see anyone. And And August went off to university and abandoned me here.

[Ariadne] That is how your mother grieves darling, she does not want anyone to see. She did it when our mother died as well, She could not do it when our father died, due to her becoming the queen at that point. she did however practically disappear for a month once the dust settled. As for your brother, this is his only chance to go to university if he does not do it now he will not get to go later. It is terrible that it has left you so alone.

[Ariadne] You know what, why don't you come home to me. There is no reason why you should be alone here, and I am sure Alice would love to have you over, Ash think you are the best person in the world and Kai adores you. no one there would mind.

[Annabella] That would be great, oh you are the best aunt, but what about mum?

[Ariadne] She won't mind, she knows herself how she gets. And we will talk to her everyday and you can come back as soon as she feels better. but there is no reason for you to be sad and lonely here, when you can be with family and happy there.

[Oscar] Why on earth, on this fine evening are you sad.

[August] Mum just called, she wants to scale back her engagements.

[Oscar] Isn't that expected?

[August] Yes, but not to the extent she wants to, which means i have to step up.

[Mathias] How is that your problem?

[August] Because there are no one else to do them, Bella is too young and our aunt backed out of it as soon as she got married . I will have to become a full time working royal. How exactly am i supposed to balance that and university and still have time for a social life.

[Mathias] Drugs? smoking? alcohol?

[Oscar] That's no help, look you'll be expected to do what three engagements a week? and we will have no more than two days of classes a week. that's five days a week. that leaves the weekend for fun.

[August] You forget i need to study outside of classes as well.

[Mathias] No engagement last a whole day, you still have time left on those days. Besides there is no need for you to get good grades. So there is no need to worry. Just work out a good schedule with Jason.

[Magdalena] I don't think we could have gotten any more unlucky, Professor Stone is both ancient and crazy.

[Mathias] And the textbook, the uninhabitable earth, more like the unreadable book.

[Mathias] Anyways I'm Mathias, want to be study partners?

[Magdalena] My name is Magdalena and yes, lets be study partners. That will be a blessing to have in this class. here have my number so we can text.

At a cafe after class

[Melissa] That class was so much fun.

[Ella] I know, I was skeptic going in but being an actress might turn out to be fun.

[Melissa] why would you want to be an actress, if you didn't think it would be fun? 

[Ella] I'm a lady, and as it happens I'm the only lady Prince August's age, which means there is an expectation for us to marry. By becoming an actress I'm making myself unsuitable. I love august don't get me wrong but I could never be his wife.

[Melissa] Acting makes you unsuitable? I cannot imagine Prince August would be so shallow to choose a wife based on social standing.

[Ella] He won't, but it will matter to the Queen. Historically speaking the aristocracy have often found their mistresses among does who do the performing arts. for some people like the Queen it makes them unsuitable to marry.

[Melissa] That's an outdated way of thinking.

[Ella] Yes, anyway its great for me, seeing as I can get out of my undesirable expectation without creating a scandal. My parents would never forgive me if I did that.

[Ella] By the way I am going to have a party on Saturday to celebrate starting uni, you should come. I am going to invite as many people as possible.

[Melissa] Of course i will come, it sounds like it will be fun.
