PSA ~ Blog Changes

As some of you may or may not have noticed, I’ve made some tweaks and changes to my blog. I have added some additional info to my rather… eye-catching pinned post - relevant “about me” info regarding the blog and RPing. Mind you, I plan on making a better and more organized pinned post with a carrd and tag categorization once I get my new laptop (either this week or next). My current one is old, slow, and shitty and in desperate need of replacement, which makes it difficult to really do much of anything on it these days. 😭 So in the meantime whilst I am relegated to mobile, that crude pinned post will have to do, ahaha.

In addition, I have decided to make this blog centered around all five Nordics instead of just the Anko Fam (however, there will still remain more emphasis and partiality towards them). I decided to make this change because Finland and Nyo!Sweden are also muses of mine, and aside from that, I love SuFin, the Hanatamago Fam, and the Finno-Ugric Trio a lot as well. Therefore, it just makes sense at this point to integrate Finland and Sweden on to the blog. I haven’t yet decided on character and headcanon tags for them, so feel free to throw out any suggestions! I should also add that Nordic OCs like Greenland and Faroes, as well as my other muses (mainly Hungary), will make cameo appearances on occasion.

Soooooo just in case anybody was wondering why a month ago I returned to the fandom and this blog only to fuck off the planet a couple days afterwards… it’s because after two years - two fugging years - Covid sank her claws in me. 😭 It wasn’t… pleasant, to say the least. One of the side effects that hit me hard was memory loss, especially short-term. That includes my internet life as well, so I can’t remember much of this blog or the fandom in the last year or so. That should be temporary, though, so please be bear with me in the meantime. ; - ;

Alright, now that that’s out of the way, welcome to my blog! Call me Ali or Snowflower, whichever you prefer. Yes, that name is Warriors-based. Yes, I still read that series despite being in the Autumn of my youth. Do I care? No. 😂

That said, I am a 30-year-old bisexual female (She/Her pronouns, They/Them on a dime), so if you’re a minor, you’re welcome here but please interact with discretion. All triggering and NSFW posts will be tagged accordingly. I write and shitpost on occasion, but am primarily a roleplayer. However, keep in mind that whilst this is mainly a fandom blog, a human being lurks behind the screen and so therefore, I will occasionally post OOC and personal posts/opinions. Hot Take: If minors treat adults like shit in fandom settings, said adults have the right to stand up for themselves and not accept being talked to disrespectfully (and vice-versa, of course). Mind you, adults should never rebut with threats, petty ad hominem attacks, or profanity. However, we still retain the right to defend ourselves against disrespectful behavior and nasty remarks without minors pulling the “But I’m a minor, so you can’t be mean to me uwu!!!1” card. No, sorry, kid. That’s not how it works. You can’t come after adults and then hide behind your age as a shield. If there are things you wouldn’t say or do to an adult irl, then it’s as equally unacceptable on the internet. There is still an adult human being behind the computer screen with feelings and lives you couldn’t even begin to imagine. You don’t get to assume that adult’s circumstances or life story, and your age does not excuse you from attacking them. Ageism towards older fans in a fandom is just as wrong as the other way around. I can understand and forgive it coming from 13-15 year olds. But once you reach the age of 16, you should absolutely know better.

I also find that adult females over the age of 25 especially tend to be more susceptible to such behavior and disrespect by minors in younger-trending fandoms. This leads me to believe that there is still systemic misogyny deeply rooted in fandom culture (in other words, we should be wives and mothers by now and leave the fandom culture to our 25+ male counterparts).
