Oh heck yeah. (Once I get through this damn prologue, we'll find out why it's called that, but I sure do appreciate the cattle prod to get through the damn prologue!)

It was dark when they left the trailer, which Dustin had known intellectually would be the case, but it was a strange, clear sort of dark, where the purplered sky shed just enough ambient illumination across the whole landscape to see by.  Dustin would have time later to figure out where exactly the light was all coming from, whether there was some sort of sun up above the roiling thunderclouds covering the sky, or how literally any of this worked, but that could come after the rescue mission.  They had idiots who thought they were adults to save. The bikes they’d ridden to Eddie’s trailer weren’t sitting outside here, which just proved that objects didn’t move in a complete 1:1 parallel between dimensions — and that made sense, or else Upside-Down Hawkins would be a mess of cars and clothes and random belongings moving around without people in them, which Will definitely would’ve mentioned when he got home — but was gonna be a real bitch to deal with.  Dustin wasn’t thrilled about his ‘hike along the highway’ plan, but some people just couldn’t stay out of trouble, so some other people were just going to have to suck it up and walk. They skirted clumps of vines and trailers left in slightly different positions than they were in the Rightside-Up, yet more observations for Dustin to file away in the back of his head to review later when they had time for actual science, while Lucas hissed at Erica to stay close.
