          --ila was a new thing for shin. something he never thought on for long enough to think possible. they’re different. she a guardian, awoken and arguably more adapted to this life. he’s not. but for each of their differences there’s something that pulls them closer. that lets shin linger close, lets him lean to her when there doesn’t seem to be another option. 

           he’s not sure how they found themselves like this, her atop his lap, him pulling vacantly at armour but in no rush to remove it from her person just yet. helmet is still shielding face from view, though. hood up but body language far from closed off as shin leans in to ila’s neck and presses his forehead in there. “y’ not like the others,” he’s used to being held on some impossibly high podium by those around him. by anyone who knows exactly who he is. ila doesn’t. he’s... he’s just a person to her. he doesn’t understand it. “why? why’d y’ not... treat me like them? i don’t get it.” // @solarslinger // sc

⸙ - She’s noticed the other Hunter in the plaza a couple of times.  Every time she looks at her, she seems to be looking the other way.  But Willow can feel her gaze on her.  You don’t live for hundreds of years without figuring out when you’re being watched.

After a particularly long and hard mission, she sees the Awoken Hunter again, and is getting fed up with her staring.  So she strides over to her boldly, putting herself right in her field of vision.  There’s no avoiding looking her in the eyes now.

“Why are you always watching me?” Willow demands, crossing her arms with a huff.

He hums softly, picking up a pen from his desk and fiddling with it.  “I wouldn’t say they don’t give a damn.  But we have no way of communicating with those who have passed on - indeed we don’t even know what happens after death.  Something must happen, else we wouldn’t have been able to be resurrected.”  It’s a strange topic, but he’s talked about stranger.

A smirk crosses Vadim’s features then.  “Unless you’re hiding something from me, Ila.”

the flower was barely an off white, drastically contrasting against the hunter's armor as she offered it to the titan. it was the least she could give. something a bit more personal than most of the options in the market.

HIS  SILENCE  WAS  FOREVER  BOUND  TO  HIM —  but  his  eyes .  SURROUNDED  by  scarring ,  is  the  gateway  to  his  emotions  .  The  worn - down  titan  beams  at  such  a  delicate  offering .  He  takes  the  flower  into  armored  grasp —- -  noting  the  fragility  between  the  war-torn  digit  plating  and  how  it  sits  so  perfectly  still  upon  his  palm  .  Gently ,  slowly ,  he  tucks  the  thing  between  his  curls  with  tremulous  hand  .  Such  a  brooding  titan  was  brought  to  smile  finally  .  ‘  Thank  you -  really . ’

In all honesty, Shiro should have seen this coming. Though, no matter how hard he tries to predict what Ila will do - he’s always just slightly off enough that it soon becomes frustrating. Not that he’s given long enough to form an equally eloquent response as a hand in the back of his hood jerks him around to face the Awoken with wide optics and faceplates shifted enough to part his mouth in both question and minor offence.

“Ila - I gotta go, I’m already runnin’ late--” 

Rushed tones from his vocaliser are cut off at the press of lips against where his own would be - instead a low hum radiates from the scout as he relaxes into the contact despite Solo’s very verbal complaints at the delay. Gloved hands find the Awoken’s hips, thumbs hooked against the Hunter’s armour as Shiro tilts his head down in her direction. “Hm. ‘Kay. Guess I’ll let that slide - not that I need luck but I think I can settle for more of your brand.”
