here’s the last/latest line i wrote for something that i started LAST FALL (i know i know) but which i only really revisited this spring after grad school ended. still not completely decided on what i’m trying to do with the rest of the fic or what i want it to look like, but i’ve kind of had this specific part in my mind for a while now and really hope it works out well in the final draft. 👀👀👀

The airhorns are blaring. There’s a team swarming center ice, the guys knocking helmets and tossing their sticks in favor of thumping each others’ backs. The fans in the section closest to him are halfway through celebrating--- or yelling expletives at the ref, he’s not really sure--- as glittering bits of green and blue confetti stream down, into the stands and over the ice.
