𒊹︎ ɢʀᴇʏ ᴀɴᴅ ʙʟᴀᴄᴋ 𒊹︎ Another year, the same men-repeller black skirt. My boyfriend couldn’t hold his tongue while he was shooting and he declared he really hates it. I bet he wishes I would get rid of it in my next decluttering and of course I won’t: it’s my favourite! I believe it is how I like to style it that makes him cringe so much 😂😇 I love him to pieces but I am definitely too grown up to chose my wardrobe based on his taste. I am done pleasing people. That sounds a bit bitter: sometimes I do dress up to impress him and I know he doesn’t really care what I put on but it makes me think how as women we have this endless battle everyday to look “hot” at all times. I am advocate of balance: I wear whatever I want most of the time but I try to make an effort from time to time for him. My grandmother used to say: “the woman who dress up everyday is never dressed up.” (Sorry for the weird translation) I honestly think this is so eye opening. The pleasant surprise in his face when I spruce myself up after days of sweats and no make up is priceless. I know it is a rather personal topic, but I would love to know your thoughts about it.
