they tell her where to go - and she runs away, THE FIRST TIME. it works. for a little bit. nobody brings it up for a year, before it all starts up again. this time, faye convinces a very stupid man to take her through three different countries before she's burned through all his money and her parents have her collected back to singapore. the third time, well. they don't quite so much tell her, as she wakes up already on the plane. the rest of the flight isn't quite so pleasant.

he's supposed to be the son of someone important. faye doesn't very much care, and she's seething beneath the skin, itchy to get out of here. this has nothing to do with her. it's stupid. why would she go to meet him anyways!? if it was serious, he should have come to her. she doesn't want to get MARRIED! she doesn't even want to date, already snapping at the edges with every stupid remark made by some slobbering fool.

and by the time she's been delivered over to this mansion, she's seated in a room, told to wait. the son is being RETRIEVED, she's told by a woman with slicked back brown hair, and all faye thinks in the moment is, that's a strange way to put it. whatever. already moving and wondering through the room, picking and peeling apart and pieces, looking for ways that she could get out of here, and seduce some deserving idiot so that she could get lost again.

Dexio rolled his eyes rather dramatically at the statement. His teeth were grinding as he did his best to just keep on walking, but not without causing a problem on purpose first. He wasn't really big on behaving anyways. Besides, he understood that he was 'untouchable' to a certain extent because of his blindness.

So all he had to do was ... ~

With a rather wicked grin, Dexio shifted the grip he had on his cane to push it out in front of Ling Yao, tightening his grip just enough so that it wouldn't end up somewhere on the ground. Even if the other didn't fully trip, he could still be a minor annoyance.

it’s a quarter to twelve when chad checks his watch. it’s still the same time it was ten seconds ago he notes, but his ocd has him checking, just in case it magically changes in those ten seconds. it’s the curse of being obsessively punctual, you often arrive early & hope & pray, that the time will move quicker than the sand inside of an hourglass. chad settles for now to tap his fingers on his jeans, an anxious reflex. ling should be here at about twelve for lunch, he notes in his thoughts as if that will ease chads coming anxieties. feeling the need to stretch, he opens his car door & starts pacing around the parking lot. it starts in circles before it turns into walking a few steps back & forth, watching the other cars in the roadside go by. by the time chad sees ling, he has lost track of the time himself. his hand raises now to check the ticking time bomb around his wrist. ❝ you’re late. ❞ he speaks with a small frown. ❝ it’s common knowledge if you are going to have lunch, ❞ he looks up, ❝ you arrive at lunch time. ❞

something's wrong. she knows it the moment she opens up the photo on her instagram, her expression blanching for a moment. after all, the only person she follows and should have access to even see this account was... ling. so who was this? it sent a sickened cramp through her stomach, a wave of anxiety that would send her spiralling if she let it. and she wants to. let it grab her, choke her, CONSUME HER whole. she's a little bit hopeless like that, but also...

the uncertainty of it rocks her. when he's finally come home, she's got him at the door, her palm gripping tightly to his arm. "you saw it too?" SHE KNOWS he knows. that worry is written too plainly for her to miss it. how they joke about this sometimes, but the trust is there, so... she needs to be the calm one. cool, unbothered... her heart is fucking racing.

it's the start of something. a declaration, of sorts. "this feels so FUCKING SERIOUS." she almost doesn't know what to do with it all, biting at her bottom lip with a rolling of her shoulders. how rue wants to be, more than anything, at ease, and she can only mimic it poorly right now, rattled and vulnerable in the only space she felt she could be. "do we call someone? what the fuck do you do with a stalker... harasser... whatever the fuck, exactly, when you don't know who they are?"

while we're on the subject of positivity , i would just like to quickly shoutout to @chmerical , @redemptioninterlude , @sunxsin & @prettydead. i have , over the years , created this absolutely fucking wild lore & storyline within this cult thing. it's such a mix of random things & i have always been a little insecure about it. but y'all are indulging me & letting me play it out & honestly i couldn't be more grateful. it means so much to me that you're all enjoying it & when one of us has like , an idea , we all kind of put in input & it's literally like , a dream. to share lore that i've created with people who also like it & i'm just. thank you , y'all. really , really thank you. you all have my undying gratitude.

𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐅𝐄𝐖 𝐏𝐄𝐎𝐏𝐋𝐄 𝐖𝐇𝐎 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃 𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐘 𝐋𝐈𝐊𝐄 𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐃𝐈𝐃. there was something about the two of them that seemed to pair together beyond a spoken truce. maybe it was their affinity to speak with no filter, asking questions that maybe some didn't find serious but they certainly did. having grown up in the industry and ling pursuing his desire to step into it, sawyer tried her best to show him the ropes; sometimes it wasn't the most successful, but she tried. of course, ling didn't need her help, having found his breakout role and was currently on his way to stardom, a fact that sawyer couldn't stop showing just how proud she was of him.

it wasn't just ling who was climbing the ranks, sawyer finding herself and her band doing the same on the billboards ( well, as much as a metalcore band could ). how etheral end had found themselves on snl, sawyer didn't know, but she wasn't about to question it. immediately upon entering the studio, she felt somewhat out of place, thankful that her band was there with her to stand in solidarity. however, the moment her eyes caught a familiar face, sawyer's face lit up, smile bright as she made her way over to the aspiring actor, ❛ look who it is! ❜
