#mcr #they way i completely mean this tho #like it should be a divorce album and they should give frank like 70% creative control and it could save the world #dont get me wrong i love mcr i love mcr with all my heart and the new song isnt bad but it is kind of mid #and thats because it sounds like a typical metal song it isnt weird theres nothing fucked up or provacative about it #and i feel like gerard just isnt good at writing about himself directly which is why he never does it #but frank on the other hand #1 has the most expansive experimental and diverse catalog out of all of them #2 is better at writing personal stuff and like hes not the best lyricist but he's pretty good and pretty raw and can do better than fod #either that or they should have let him do weird stuff with the production #i guess my point is it doesnt really feel like theyve grown as musicians #even though they have in their solo stuff #the new song felt like they wanted to make something that would make everyone happy which is so not the appeal of mcr imo #that being said i am an mcr stan mcr for liife and im extremely happy theyre making music #i just wish it was weirder
