i just think- that maybe- perhaps- if i may dare say- please don’t come at me guns ablazing- the pacing for the pjo show could be improved

#pjo show crit #i feel like the stakes are not as- stakesy #maybe it’s just me though #but the fight scenes just aren’t that exciting for me? #i plunge to my death is my Favourite tlt chapter and a lot of that stems from the silliness of why they went up in the first place #to echidna being quietly unsettling with her dog #to grover being anxious af because of the heights thing and percy being quietly supportive with his jelly beans #to the momentary relatable panic when you can’t all fit in the lift #and that very rapid devolvement into realising that Oh Shit Monster #AND BREAKING THAT TENSION WITH THE ANTEATER LINE #and the fight scenes and how he was panicking and she was taunting him with the ‘why have faith in the gods?’ #the Dread when he hits the collar and the burning pain of the unexpected sting #TO THE VERY LAST LINE WHERE HE JUMPS OUT AND PRAYS TO POSEIDON #anywyas #just had to get that off my chest
