The gauze carries with it the scent of antiseptic, and Irelia waits for the sting Yone warns her of, knowing it is certain to come. It does not cause her to recoil when the light cloth is in contact with the small cut on the side of her forehead (luckily enough simple to hide, throwing her hair the right way), though the promised sting makes itself felt.

She had faced worse, though.

Silence follows his words, none offered in return initially. It isn't unusual for them to allow silence to linger, though those are of the comforting sort, easily shared between friends who were content enough to just be in each other's presence. This is different; or perhaps Irelia simply feels differently, given the situation. And yet, when the quietness starts to weigh too heavily, she is the one who chooses to break it.

"You don't have to do this, you know," A quiet protest, though she does not move to stop him. Her gaze stays firmly planted on the wall before her, purposefully avoidant of Yone, even as he finishes placing the thin pieces of adhesive bandage to the cut and moves on to clean the scratches on her forearm. "I'm fine."

The bruises were minor, the sort she could easily deal with on her own — that she would have, had she not chosen to avoid going home while her brother was certain to be there. Kai would make a fuss over nothing; well, nearly nothing. More importantly, he would demand to hear about how that happened, and Irelia knew he wouldn't like to hear what she had to tell.

When their family was killed, she had been the one to first find their bodies. To reach for a kitchen knife and desperately fight to defend herself, killing two of the murderers and leaving a third injured. Maybe it's easier for Kai to move on, she thinks sometimes, considering he never had to face any of that. Not for her, though. And if seeking out the truth about what happened that night — about who really killed her family — came at the cost of some bruises and small wounds, so be it. They wouldn't scare her off with just that; especially not when the guy sent to do it ended up in a much worse state.

The tale of how she got hurt in the first place isn't one Irelia volunteers, however, even to one who takes the time to look after her despite her unwise decisions. The only advice anyone ever offered her when it came to this was to leave it be. That her family wouldn't be brought back; that she would only get hurt in the process, and surely they wouldn't want that. Yone might be different, or he might not. And if it's the latter, the dancer doesn't want to hear it.

"Sorry for showing up here like this," The apology makes her look up to him, words meant sincerely. It had been impulse, like much of what she had done before; the nearest person who would care, but not fret too much, hopefully. Or chastise her for the trouble it would be to cover it up with a believable story if anyone saw her bruises; she's certain her manager would be livid. "I just didn't want to get home before Kai went out with Valmar. He would worry and, well — like I said, I'm fine."

heyooo! i’m yumi, age 23, they/them! currently lf a few krp/kdrama partners, preferably within the age range of 19-23+! it’s safe to say that i’m open to any pairings such as mxm, fxf, poly, and trans/non-binary characters, oc x oc (faceclaims ok!) - i will say that i do have a preference for writing masculine characters and will often default to that unless discussed.

my writing style is always mirrored, so don’t be shy if you’d like to write with me in any way, shape, or form! my preference tends to lean towards novella and advanced lit (comfortably up to 500-1k or more) with present or past, third-person narratives. i have some writing examples i can send your way if you’d like to see them before committing to rp with me! i typically want to strive for quality over quantity.

˚ ༘♡ ⋆｡˚ PLOTS : regarding plots that i enjoy tend to lean super heavily into the human condition (any variation or avenue of slice of life, modern aus), very lightly toeing into supernatural with succubuses/incubus or angel/devils, fallen angel concepts, and “darker” themes. some examples would be religious trauma/historical themes, substance abuse, violence, heavy angst, etc.

i also really enjoy media-based or established works of fictions like ao3, video games (the last of us, detroit become human, etc), films, and kdramas (strangers from hell, all of us are dead, the glory, bloodhounds, and more).

i’m totally interested in including nsfw into our rps aswell, though i tend to write my characters as versatile switches and would prefer if my partners were flexible and willing to collaborate to make it fun and comfortable for both of us. i will send a kink list to be as transparent as possible, or you can view that on my carrd alongside other in depth info here!

NOTES : the most important part of this i would like to make sure is noted is that writing won’t always be a priority for me as i have other hobbies and responsibilities that tend to take up a lot of my free time too. i work two jobs while also taking classes for my university and gaming. i’d appreciate and prefer partners that don’t mind gaps of time between responses and won’t spam or pressure me to be quicker. i've had some bad luck with rp partners that don't understand that and overstep boundaries. i will end the rp if it gets excessive. however, i’m very chatty and enjoy making playlists and pinterest boards alongside our rp au’s so it’d be cool to have partners open to that sort of connection. i’m always down for friendships outside of our rp too so the gaps of time don't feel awkward or stilted.
