bluh, so lets see... yesterday i woke up at like eleven. I dont remember a goodly portion of the day, spent several hours fucking around. Finally got me and G's lights srt up, so the shared space isnt dark as fuck. That was... fine, but kind of a strugglesince i had to push her kinda hard for us to get anythkng done. Spoons.
After that,things are blurrier since thats when i started to get fucked up. I remained fucked up from like six pm then for the remainder of the night, up until i went to work at like four am.
Anyway. Decided to make infused butter, since we were out. The recipe i used said to simmer/infuse for like... 4 hours, so i figured id do some other cooking while i was in there. In all, made infused butter, a mustard cream sauce, some heavily-seasoned pan-seared chicken thighs, and *attempted* to make caramelized onions but i burntthem ;;;;
The nustard cream sauce was... *incredible*. I used yellow onions and not-fresh spices instead kf shallots an dfresh, but hoky shit it was atill so good. And im genuinely reallt proud of my intuition/i stinct to put it overtop of chicken seasoned heavier than i normally would? without the sauce it was overseasoned but with it the like... seasoning was able to come through but the cream in the sauce levelled it out enough to be really really good. I mkght also be misremembering bc i was. yeah, pretty messed up. But it was the best thing ever eaten, yeah.
All in all, that was a weird and amazijg experience!! i almsot never cook multiple things at once, and much less while inebriated (safely, in my own home)?? Very meditative, very entire self consumed in task. Fun.
So. Idk, im just genuinely proud of doing good things and having skills.
