#me and my mom #i have an art textbook focusing on western art from the 14th to 17th centuries. my mom thinks someone will want it #she doesn't understand that college textbooks are literally only useful the 1 semester they're assigned for by 1 professor #(wheelock's latin my beloved you can stay) #but if you're taking art history? the chances of your professor assigning that 14th-17th century western art textbook in that edition? zero #the library doesn't take textbook donations because they are utterly worthless outside the alignment of ur professor/class/semester #my mom: 'you have too many clothes; you should donate some' me (no i don't but w/e): 'okay these 3 shirts can go' my mom: 'oh no really?' #i accumulate stuff. i like having stuff. i've tried marie kondo-ing my life but every time i try to actually get rid of stuff... guilt trip! #my mom is so utterly convinced 'someone will want x item' that stuff doesn't leave the house #and when it does? she just dumps loads of garbage at goodwill/arc/etc and makes it THEIR problem #it's sooooooo funny that she gets on my case for having stuff... but will not examine her own hoarder tendencies #she's also very conveniently using my space in the house to store HER shit. she's using the garage to store Danny's shit #if danny wanted that shit... he'd come and get it. he left it in his condo when he moved out and my mom just won't get rid of it #long tags #ugh
