the finnish parliament is about to vote on abolishing sterilisation, medical treatment and psychiatric assessment as requirements for legal gender reassignment and i am nervous as fuck.

#it's been almost 10 years since equal marriage law passed but the debates have been just as surreal #the prime minister has had to apologise to trans people for the poor taste of some of our dear representatives #also the centre party is allowing their people to vote 'according to conscience' even though they're sitting in the cabinet that #created this bill in the first place #if you want to be in the opposition why did you get in the cabinet??? #it's not trans people's fault your party is past its prime and on its last legs #the previous law is from 2002 and shit so please please please let my native country enter the 2020s at last
