So... I'm done with the liveship trilogy. The Tawny man is up next. I'm scared, but also thrilled??
I gotta say that each book in the RotE changes my brain chemistry irreversibly. I'm obsessed. And I don't think I want any help with, even if I obviously need it.
Also, that trilogy, it has this weird taste of... sea and freedom? Like the Farseer trilogy is bitter and cold, but with a tiny bit of hope and a lot of change. The liveship is salty and sweet, with a new hope breeze. Even though the change itself in the Liveship series is much more significant to the whole realm than the change that happened in the Farseer trilogy, it feels so much lighter, I think? The Fitz's change is painful, viscous and bitter, it tastes like old blood. The Vestrit family change is like salt, it's a fresh cut, new blood that is healthy, and you know it will heal up quickly and without any troubles. It smells and tastes of sea and wind, of the future and freedom. It's not as desperate as the previous change. Idk, this book had it's pain and suffering, but it was easier for me to... consume? To digest? To understand? It was lighter. Fitz however... I feel him a bit too much. It pains a bit too much to read about his suffering, struggling. It's really hard for me not to sympathise with him.
Anyhoo, these books were tasty :}
Off to start the tawny man trilogy tomorrow! Wish me luck and sanity!
