#hey. how come nobody told me dragon of doom is really really good?? #it was really fun with a great Goemon plot #fun lupin scenes #jigen being great and wonderful (even though he didn't do anything tbh. just sit there and look good bb) #i love what the ones from the 90's do with Fujiko. She'll betray the boys but you get some inner monologue and you know what's going on #she just gives the sense that her ultimate loyalty is with Lupin even if she'll do her own thing or save her own skin in the moment #she's always in it for herself but not at the direct detriment of the boys #now. this movie treated Goemon as if he were Jigen and gave him the ol' betraying girlfriend plot #i didn't trust her from the start but... she made goemon cry and grrrr *bark bark bark* #the whole opening with goemon at the kabuki and Jigen/Lupin at the arcade was really fun! #and the animation in general was really lively! #there was a part where Zeni was bouncing on top of some cop cars and it was so cute <3 #there was a scene that I felt was a tad underutilized and that was when the gang was basically given joker gas #they were all fighting to the death but they didn't use weapons and we didn't spend much time there and boy #do I wish we got to see a really deranged fight. like. unhinged. #they blacked out their eyes but I wanted to just see them go ape shittt #ya know? #anyway. loved it!!! super fun 🥰
