what do we mean when we say "afab trans woman", and what do the afab trans women mean? it is my opinion that a non-binary but still explicitly feminine identity is both valid and seperate from their assigned feminine identity at birth. as such, there is a transition, possibly even medical, from one feminine to another.

I think all this is valid and reasonable, although it may not be what is referred to, and I can agree it is not the most efficient use of language, as there is a present focus in society on demonizing trans women, and that makes afab people referring to themselves as trans women occupy the same linguistic space as a rapidly oppressed minority, and obviously, in unclear and especially internet situations this can cause misunderstandings and abuse cases.

trans women (who, i am one of, for what its worth, and the amab kind) dont need "SPACES TO THEMSELVES", that kind of division doesn't work, we learned that from terfs. they need to be let back and fully into the fullness of the queer community, which includes even the cringe tiktok girlie who feels "not like the other girls." there is no "real" tranny. we're all fake agp degens.

i do think theres a better word for "feminine nonbinary who feels like change or transition is important to their identity", but that identity is no more ridiculous and arbitrary than any other. words are tools, not boxes.
