I transformed a block of my hair from babylights to solid platinum ✨
.
This was kind of scary because I had to avoid touching lightener on all of my previously lifted hair, while also having to tap all of my natural. I find going platinum is actually easier on hair that is all one level as opposed to having some previously lifted, that way there is nothing to work around. Happy to say, I didn’t have any major catastrophes though 🙏🏻😅🙌🏻
.
I toned with @wellahairusa permanent liquid toner in “pale silver.” And I root melted with a simple demi 4N - video on that darker root melt coming soon!
.
Extensions are @babe_hair

✨DAYLIGHT SAVINGS is testing my hair photography, but also inspiring my color palette!✨ . . . . . Reposted from @the.neon.blonde . With the sun going down so early I’ve had to switch up how I document my clients’ hair results. The positive of what I’ve taken away so far is that I kind of love the dreamy lens flares, and dramatic shine lines from the indirect one-sided heavy lighting that’s created. . If any stylists are having trouble with this, here are my suggestions: . Rotate your client in all directions to change how the light is catching the hair. It usually takes me a few tries to find what’s working and what’s not. . If you’re standing within a window space, having them move even one step forward or backward from the window can dramatically change your lighting results. . Having them look down not only creates the illusion of dramatic length/waves, but it will shadow the face and highlight the hair. . Turn all of the lights off, sometimes it may feel almost pitch black, but if your camera/phone is quality, the light might actually be just right once you look through the lens! If it looks grainy, the light is probably too far gone. . Add a “vignette” when editing. It creates contrast with the heavy concentrated light on the hair. *chefs kiss* . Hope this helped! I know so many hairstylists are struggling with documenting this time of year! I’m still figuring it out myself, and I may even try to work harder at mastering the ring light.😅 . #haircolor #hairstylist #hairphotography #haireducator #haireducation #sunsethair #rainbowhair #mermaidhair #pinkhair #pastelhair #pastelpinkhair #daylightsavings #photographytips #coralhair #peachhair #beachwaveshair #hairstylistlife #pinkbalayage #vividhaircolor #fallhaircolor #theneonblonde (at Baltimore County, Maryland) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cb3ljg4Ju3g/?utm_medium=tumblr
