At my work we have a pretty great tradition that to celebrate birthdays we get to have a lunch brought in for us all to enjoy. Birthday person's choice usually. I'm getting pizza this week.

#because my manager was asking me what I wanted for lunch tomorrow we brought up how old I'm turning #my coworkers reactions were absolutely hilarious #I'm changing decades you see #so it's kind of one of those bigger age landmarks that get more attention #it's one that has a lot of jokes for women that you never actually turn this age just the same age again #my mom was given a surprise party when she turned this age which I actually vaguely remember #at this point in my life I have kind of given up on hoping for a surprise party #as I don't really have anyone to throw one for me and no one to really invite #but that's okay there's other ways to observe a birthday #previous years I've made it quite apparent what day my birthday is with birthday themed posts #this year there's only one birthday themed post and them a ton of historical dresses being reblogged throughout the day #so this is like the only other birthday related post I'm probably going to make where I'm directly and intentionally making note of it #though I always welcome birthday wishes and greatly desire them I just don't expect many #and if you've read all of my tags to this point then you get to know I'm turning 0 with a three in there somewhere
