dawn is breaking, and a SCREAM rings out in the kingdom. everyone awakens, confused and worried about the yell that emerged from the infirmary. concerned, a crowd gathers and they begin talking amongst themselves, before rick and the king make their way through the crowd, to the front steps of the infirmary.

the king reassures their people, explaining that MAGGIE RHEE was just giving birth with a warm smile. glancing over at ezekiel, rick speaks up. “we’ve got a few hours before it’s time to get up, so why don’t we all get some more sleep?” and with that the crowd gradually returns to their rooms. they come to ignore the yelling from the infirmary, no matter how hard it was.

hours later, when everyone wakes again, they go to their jobs. kids go to caretakers, adults go to work. it starts out as an average day within the kingdom. people close to the RHEE’S are allowed to take a short break to greet the new addition to the family - a baby boy named HERSHEL RHEE JR.

things are seemingly calm, however, they have no idea that they’re being WATCHED. when alexandria’s TARA CHAMBLER and the hilltop’s JESUS set out to gather supplies left behind in the sanctuary, the hilltop and alexandria, they were clueless to the fact that there was someone else there, a person just outside each community, well hidden and simply watching. waiting for the groups to return to their homes for whatever reason. to them, it was a sign that they were getting comfortable. word is sent back to the congeria leader.

and the fact that the groups are slowly getting more comfortable isn’t entirely WRONG. because they are. with no attack in five months, no word, no nothing, they’re beginning to hope, to think, that maybe the strange group went back to wherever they came from. NO SUCH LUCK.

on top of that, simon and the savior lieutenants are putting a plan together to find their missing leader, NEGAN. they’re not happy with this arrangement, that’s no secret. they enjoy the power positions they once held within the sanctuary, and here they’re at the bottom of the food chain. the other communities have accepted that congeria is no longer a threat, but the saviors refuse to accept it. they lost their devoted leader, and they’re determined to get him back. most of them, anyway.

however, before they can do ANYTHING, congeria returns first. at the doorstep of the kingdom. when the doors are opened to let in the injured pair of JAVIER and JESUS, the group takes their chance and rush in, attacking those inside now. the fight lasts for some time, with a handful of people ending up injured, and eventually they RETREAT, oddly enough, when a whistle seems to call them back. they disappear into the woods.

this won’t be the last they hear from them, and they all fear that the mysterious group will return again soon. one question remains - what did they do with NEGAN?

CARL GRIMES

the second youngest in the grimes family, CARL GRIMES, has fallen ill ! it started out with simple COUGHS, but gradually turned into the boy being BEDRIDDEN, burning up with muscle pains and a headache that just WOULDN’T go away. he’s noticeably EXHAUSTED, complete with being unable to hold down food. as a result, he’ll be in the infirmary until he recovers.

JAVIER GARCIA

while on a run, JAVIER GARCIA is attacked ! he was scavenging when he’s confronted by members of CONGERIA in the woods. he gets in a fight, and in the process, he’s STABBED in the STOMACH while protecting his partner on the run, JESUS. he’s BLEEDING, applying as much PRESSURE as he can to his wound while his partner attempts to fend off the remaining attackers. as a result, he’ll need STITCHES once he gets back home and will be in the infirmary until he’s given the clear to leave.

PAUL MONROE

caught in the crossfire while trying to help JAVIER GARCIA after being attacked by congeria members in the woods while on a run, PAUL MONROE, otherwise known as JESUS, has been SHOT with an arrow ! it’s lodged in his SHOULDER, and with both him and his partner, javier, being injured, he’s forced to RETREAT from the fight. they STRUGGLE to return to the kingdom with their injuries, but they make it. the arrow is removed & he’s patched back up. as a result, he’s told to rest and will be spending a day or two in the infirmary.

ENID RHEE

in the fight with the congerians, ENID RHEE is SHOT by a stray bullet ! someone in one of their groups must have MISSED a congerian, and instead the bullet caught her, and now it’s lodged in her HIP. she practically crawls to safety, and then to the infirmary. the bullet unfortunately has SHATTERED into pieces inside her, and the doctors struggle to get the different shards out of her. luckily, they manage, and patch her up. as a result, she’ll be in the infirmary resting until her wound heals and she’s clear to walk.

MALAKAI MONROE

now out of arrows, one of the congerian fighters spots MALAKAI MONROE, and makes a beeline for him ! unable to use any weapons, as he’s all out, the congerian resorts to using his fists. BEATING the boy into the ground. by the end of it, MALAKAI is beaten black and blue, with an actual black eye and brusies all over his body, along with a BROKEN NOSE. as a result, he’ll have to spend some time in the infirmary resting before he can get back on his feet.

AARON

while fighting with two congerians, AARON is knocked to the ground ! he lands awkwardly on his WRIST and hears a bone chilling CRACK. he just barely manages to land a few more punches in with both hands, despite the PAIN in the wrist he’s clearly hurt, before the congerians hear a whistle and run off. as a result, he’ll have his wrist in a sling until it heals. no heavy lifting, minimal jobs and no supply runs.

TYLER FORRESTER

in the fight, TYLER FORRESTER is SHOT by an ARROW ! he’s firing his gun at the intruders when one of them fires back at him, shooting him in the THIGH. he’s knocked to the GROUND, and with the help of some members of their groups, he’s pulled to SAFETY before someone can finally get him to the infirmary. as a result, he’ll be off his foot for a while as his leg heals from the wound. when he’s released from the infirmary, he’ll have to walk on crutches to elevate the weight from the hurt leg.

SALIA KINGSWELL

SALIA KINGSWELL has unfortunately caught the flu from CARL GRIMES ! she’s stuck in the infirmary, kept away from the other patients, with a FEVER and a persistent HEADACHE. luckily, unlike CARL, she’s able to hold down food, but she’s still got a very SORE THROAT and is DRY COUGHING. as a result, she’ll be in the infirmary until she recovers.

as a result of all this, THE SAVIORS have gone into hyper drive, worried that if congeria is able to cause so much damage in little time, what they could possibly do to NEGAN? despite being told to stay inside, many of them go out to try to find him anyway. RICK GRIMES has put more people on guard and patrol duty; they can’t afford another attack, not with so many people injured now. KING EZEKIEL has declared that there will be no more supply runs until further notice, not unless absolutely necessary. on top of that, he asks that everyone stay inside the kingdom. he doesn’t want to lose more people. and in his wife’s absence, GLENN RHEE will be stepping up to the plate and filling in for MAGGIE RHEE as one of the co leaders while she cares for their baby.
