It's finished! The TKB-skull is done! Pics below cut (because I know some people aren't fans of skulls or snakes).

I was trying to get some natural lighting, and the only spot that didn't show off my crappy trailer was on hubby's pallet pile lol. Used a towel for underneath to help show off the colors a bit better.

I decided not to do the iridescence on the skull itself. Only Dia got the iridescence treatment (better pic to show it at end). I decided instead to 'dirtify' the skull. The scar didn't come out quite like I had hoped it would, but after adding a 'dirt' brushing over it I was a bit happier with it. I only gold 'capped' the teeth, leaving the matte behind it to really make it pop without looking too cartoony/Halloween decoration. All in all, I think he came out pretty close to what I had in my head.

We have a small pile of gravel dirt for various reasons and to help fill driveway potholes each spring. Had to take advantage of it lol.

Took a close-up indoor pic because it was hard to see the iridescence I did on Dia.

The TKB-skull art project is coming along. Just have to do Dia's eyes, all of TKB's lovely gold, then the iridescent brush. Can't wait to show the finished product! If I work on it tomorrow morning, should be ready be tomorrow evening. There's a few small spots where one color edged over another (mainly in creases), but overall he's still coming out pretty good. The hard part is going to be his scar since he doesn't really have any cheeks lol.

Wh-...Where did the day go??? I swear all I did was finish my TKB skull, get a shower, scroll through Tumblr, read a few new chapters to updated fics, replied to a comment, decided to start reading from the chapter that comment was on, got lost reading my own fic, and now it's after 9pm???

Link here if you missed the final results for TKB skull project. I love the comment my sister made when I showed her the pics. I was telling her how I was iffy at first because the 'scar' didn't come out quite how I planned, but overall I was still happy with how the whole thing came out.

No writing whatsoever today (with exception of tag game earlier). Just lots of reblogging.

Spent majority of my day mentally recouping. At least my body no longer feels like it's vibrating at ultrasonic speeds from the inside now. Managed to paint the first few layers of red on TKB skull project. Gotta do the whole pay bills and run errands thing tomorrow. Blah.

Okay, I need some future art project suggestions. There's this awesome skull with a snake decoration where I work that has been calling to me. It screams TKB to me. The snake is getting the Diabound treatment, but I'm unsure about the skull portion.

One option is white skull. with matte black for the 'hollow' spaces. That's it, nothing special.

Other (and the idea I'm leaning towards) is bright red like TKB's signature stolen cloak, with maybe the teeth painted gold and the 'hallow' spaces matte black.

Here's the additional part I want to do. I want to do something to represent his scar. Would it work/be too much to draw the scar lines in gold?

With the red option, I'm also thinking of doing a dry brushing of iridescent coating.

Would love some thoughts and opinions on which route I should go.

I was originally trying to decide on which I wanted, but the skull is calling to me more than the solo snake.

First off ignore my messy porch (this is from last year). I wanted to give an idea on what I meant by dry brushing iridescent coating. You can kinda see the small bit on the blade portion (the hilt has it applied more heavily). This is a clear coat, so it doesn't affect the color underneath. It just gives it some iridescence.
