I did not, as expected, read three books in the span of today—HOWEVER I joked on Friday that i was not gonna be capable of reading A Brief History of Time over the course of the weekend and I finished it in under 24 hours.

Suck it, past me.

#of course now i have to read the theology book tomorrow #and probably squint at some of its commentary like 'doubt.jpg' #if you're reading philosophical texts and you're not doing that are you really reading philosophical texts #(actually please I'm begging of you squint heavily at assertions made by philosophers the burden of truth is on the reader) #tbh that's what makes philosophy fun tho #to read it effectively or usefully for yourself you gotta pick it apart and pull out the good stuff from the bullshit #it's like having an argument that you have infinite time to win #really this is how i read everything but it's most fun for me with philosophy #I'm sorry you all get my reading updates constantly #this is my blog and if I do not stick them into some public ether i will have no feeling of external accountability so #congrats you're all here and you get to hear about it
