i know boyd's the one we usually give the biblical imagery and religious musings and yes yes yeah it's for good reasons i admit i see why and i do agree. however. i've always felt there was a uniquely biblical lean to how raylan's anger is handled too. at times it feels one step beyond being an ode to a cowboy's wild sense of justice or a white man's expression of privilege or a sheriff trying to dole out punishment in a lawless land. there's a degree of the furious angelic to it. a taste of old testament divine retribution. not fair not right not legal but had it coming what's been sowed getting comeuppance here is a miracle delivering where laws couldn't reach. raylan's anger arriving like its an answer to a prayer.
