I went to Yellowstone specifically for this shot. The first couple of days went by and I got some amazing photos and had even better experiences, but I still didn’t get what I wanted. Finally on the 3rd and final day of the trip, a big herd of bison crossed in front of us while we were driving. The were on all sides of the guides vehicle and moving fast. I had only a moment to change from my telephoto lens to my prime lens. I stuck my hand out of the window and fired off a quick burst of my shutter. I ended up with this. Looking right into the eyes of a giant bison, seeing the calmness in its large demeanor and knowing that it didn’t have a care in the world for the vehicle we were in. As great as it is to experience something like this, it is still important to say that you shouldn’t approach wildlife, not even in a park. This leads to them getting used to humans and can end with individuals getting hurt. Be safe and respectful to the wildlife and follow the rules of a park when you are in one. . . . @nikonusa Z6 Nikon 35mm DX f/1.8 . . . #wildlifeplanet #earthpix #wildlifephotography #nuts_about_wildlife #outdoorphotomag #wildlifeofinstagram #wildlife_vision @nationalparkservice #yellowstonenationalpark @yellowstonenps #wildlifeperfection #natgeoyourshot @natgeo #wildlifeplanet #getoutside #adventure #pnwphotographer #bisonofinstagram #bison #yellowstone #destinationearth @wildlifeplanet #getoutside #adventure #naturephotography #americanbison #wyoming #travel_outside #WildlifeiG (at Yellow Stone National Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/CLaOB4YFQSB/?igshid=1i6qvkt1rvphe
