All Might's heard before he's seen. The masterminds behind this abduction have long since fled the scene, leaving behind only the dime-a-dozen grunt work for the Symbol of Peace to deal with. Despite their best efforts, such low level threats were never going to be a real obstacle.

                    ❝  It's going to be alright, now, Detective. Why?  ❞

He bursts through the door in a flurry of dust and woodchip debris, the corridor behind him littered with bloodied, unconscious henchmen.

                    ❝  Because I am here! ❞

//  the receiver has recently been kidnapped and held captive by enemies of the sender.

He admits to having poked fun at the catchphrase on occasion. Not in a mean-spirited way, necessarily, but the kind of teasing that occurs from one friend to another.

Only to himself did Naomasa silently question the true effectiveness of this persona. Did it . . . really make people feel better, in the moment? Did a smile and a cheerful voice really go so far in taking away the terror of being trapped like this, subjected to the mercies of a villain?

It would appear that the detective had his answer, for how quickly  relief  swept through his body at hearing a familiar voice. Relaxing as much as the ropes would allow, wound tightly between his wrists, and looped again around some metal jutting from the wall. He coughed and hacked for a good moment from the entrance, signs of interrogation marring exposed skin, but he could hardly care. Seeing that man, larger than life and standing in the doorway . . . it overwhelmed him with a sense of utter safety.

Broken and bloodied lips twisted into a smile against all odds (though pale in comparison to the hero’s own).

"You have no idea how good it is to see you...!”

he almost gave a laugh, dodging the advance of the hero with a flip, sticking the landing & more or less flaunting his attire & physique to the hero. it was quite unorthodox for the faux-villain to be foregoing his usual villain costume, instead opting for his assassin’s attire with a bit of girlfriend flavor; turtle-neck sleeveless leotard, black cargo pants, fingerless arm gloves & to top it off: a fishnet crop top jacket. 

 “thanks,” dabi chuckled, pulling at his jacket. “i stole it from my girlfriend. so i’d really appreciate it if i could return it to her without a scratch or burn, thanks.” there was a reason he was using a knife with some quick ‘bullet shots’ of flames from his fingers trickled in & not his quirk at full blast.

It is swiftly turning out to be a strange day for the god of thunder, who, in a bid to carry out his usual heroics, finds himself accosted by others. A building had collapsed following his battle with a creature he could only describe as formidable, and as he set out to help those caught up in the disaster, that’s when the discord had started.    Chants of ‘where’s your license!’ and ‘damn quirks!’ arose in earnest, causing the blond, who had been scaling the rubble at this point, to turn around and face the gathering crowds-- no, mob, with a look reflective of genuine bemusement. None had rejected his help before, back when he was stationed on the next continent over.     Was heroism handled differently on these shores? Perhaps he should ask;

“Why do you object? I am here to assist, and mean not to cause anyone offence.”

I'm doing this for a lot of my blogs bc teehee :3c I love sharing my URLs and their meanings:

@invictarre - taken from invictus, meaning unconquerable or undefeated. the extra letters at the end are purely there as an aesthetic thing bc 'invictus' and all the other variants I attempted were taken.

@ghosteel - ghost / steel, just remove one 'st'. this wasn't my idea, but rather @jocundcompany's, because at the time of the original sideblog there were only three muses present (byron, fantina, and acerola) and so they were all either a ghost or steel specialist.

@profutured - taken from prof future -> professor future -> the professor relevant to the future, as shown by his name (turo, from futuro) and the overarching themes of violet as a whole. could also be read as pro future, which also works for him as a character.

@remedicine - a combination of the words remedy and medicine, both relevant to chopper because he is the ship's doctor! I love my little reindeer a lot and took absolutely ages to find a perfect URL for him <333

@unitedsmash - taken from the name of all might's most powerful attack, the united states of smash. that was too long for a URL, so I just took the first and last word and smushed them together. I didn't realise until later that another, older all might RP account had had the same idea, just with a hyphen inbetween.

there is one more URL I have listed, but it contains spoilers for scvi's starfall street route and its introduced characters. be warned before clicking the readmore!

caphtanavista, my latest wip - 'caphta navista' sounds a little like hasta la vistar, the catchphrase for team star members. and, as the blog is for eri and atticus, it contains the names of both the caph and navi squads, which they lead
