there was literally a guy sitting across from me too (there were no spots left and he asked to sit) do you understand the mental fortitude required to try and play it off like i was studying or something. to not shriek in horror at what i was seeing. they AIRED this on TELEVISION at 7 IN THE MORNING!!!!!!!!

he really didn't. a big reason why he was cast (besides being a talented martial artist and extremely cute) was likely because his dad is a famous action star who appeared in a lot of ninja movies and later showed up in kakuranger as a rival for jiraiya, so i guess toei was cool with working around the language barrier as a tradeoff for that ninja cred
