maybe he’s right.    actually,    he’s definitely right.     the gash in your leg,    begrudgingly wrapped with the  jacket you’d just bought   (   read:    asked for,   didn’t actually pay for   )   to slow down the bleeding,    sends a burning ache up your body,    something even you are incapable of casting aside for long.    more importantly,    you don’t think you’ll be able to stay conscious for much longer.    maybe another thirty minutes,   and then you’re out;    which leaves scrawny valdez to drag you back to the infirmary,    a chance you’re not quite sure you’re willing to take.     if it were piper,   sure;    jason,   definitely.    but another judgmental glance at the boy’s arms has you double guessing.

but you’re stubborn,    even when it comes to your own safety.    that,   and a part of you is afraid that even if the two of you tried to book it out of the forest now,    what you’re running from might catch up to you.     

“    i can try.    ”      for now,   you can manage to stand on the injured leg,   which is enough for you.    hand curls around the hilt of your knife,    eyes closing,     chest rising with a deep breath as you prepare yourself for what’s to come.    “     it’s almost dead.    if i distract the ugly thing,    would you be able to kill it?    ”

      i gotta tag @titanslayer and @wingedpenumbra both in this tbh because, well, i mentioned about Nat in the last post but also Emilia is just a shining star in my life. they juggle so much but they’re always there for me with an ear, there’s a mutual trust between us regarding addressing more personal issues, and they indulge my cryptid hunting w/photos of their roommate? a TRUE cryptid? i’m blessed. (not to mention Emilia tags me in the cutest shit on fb holy crow)

      tbh @humbleswordplayer, though we don’t know each other very well, i see you on the dash dropping lil nuggets of positivity and eagerly greeting any character in the series with a warmth and sincerity through Paul’s character and it’s just. you’re always so good to see on the dash? and your little supportive comments on my posts mean a lot??? all signs point to you being a wonderful person and i hope you stick around because i’d love to get to know you. even if literally all of percy’s friends are thirsty for his stepdad.

      @stygicniron does so very much. she’s so deeply in love with Nico and invested in writing his growth as a character, developing out any flaws or kinks in his writing and fleshing out an already rich and complex character into a beautiful young man. even though she’s got a busy life she still manages to write two beautiful boys, and Dodger and Nico both have such different voices that she pays mind to so carefully? give this woman an award, tbh. i could never have dreamed of having someone to develop Percy and Nico’s complicated relationship so wonderfully with when i made this blog, but there she is.

      i also have to give honorable mention to U, YES U KAT, because i see your snaps about your life and how much you have going on and yet you still try to get on Leo and at least yell about him a little quite frequently. even when you can’t keep threads going you’re there for meta and character building and shitposting. @zeusborn also gets this, because i’ve seen the tags on your posts and i know that you’re not technically supposed to be online, but you keep poking your head back in on Thalia and posting these wonderful little tidbits and i love it. y’all are all champs keeping your blogs up with your busy lives.
