It Is With INTENSE Shame I Have Come To Announce:

I somehow ended up falling into the Spamton slime pit. 

It was really all the amazing, weirdly cute, and feels-y fanart that did this to me. I found him somewhat interesting as a character, but I really didn't have any feelings about him at all until I got curious and decided to check his tags. Good Lord. 

It's weird, because I actually really don't like the whole "creepy ventriloquist dummy" thing (that's probably why I only like doodling his fanon Addison form...I love Addison Spamton), but his backstory and everything was enough to push past that for me. Sometimes, I can like characters that are ugly if they're intriguing enough. It's especially weird for me because I DO like clowns, but was never interested in Jevil when he was the hot new Undertale superboss boy. And it's probably because he wasn't that important to the overall story of that chapter. He's entirely optional, you don't have to ever see him, meanwhile, having an encounter with Spamton is mandatory, even if you don’t do his Neo fight. There's so much to unpack with him, and his story really matters to the Cyber World story as a whole. 

I've been in intense shame about it, and that needs to stop. I'm having a great time reading fics and coming up with headcanons. I have like 3 fic ideas involving him (he's not always the main character in all of them, but they do involve him) And I'm going to write at least one of them. It's making me feel excited and engaged in something for the first time in at least a year, and that's awesome. 

I'm thinking of maybe making a sideblog to reblog and post about him and the Addisons, so that you people don't have to look at that shit. I know I could just make sure to tag it so people can block it, but I feel like 90% of everyone following me is like "Eterna, NO" right now, lol.
