Ignore the weird formatting we've done, it's easier for us to read (。ŏ﹏ŏ)
System information
We have been aware of one another's presence for a majority of our life, though we only found out about DID and all the terminology 5 years ago
As stated in many parts of our blog, we have documented 37 alters, though we are aware of many others existences, so we will continue to add a plus at the end of that statistic to represent our unknown peeps
While we're aware that the most commonly used terminology for system members are personalities, alters, or parts, we may more often use things like headmate, peep, or even a term we made up as a child, echo. It's just what feels comfortable, we apologize if this causes any inconvenience
Some alters listed don't front as often or as long as others. Some would like to spend their time out enjoying other things besides tumblr. Please remember that we do have a life outside of the internet
We often deal with trauma holders and persecutors, if you see a post without any identification tag, then we ask you please keep scrolling until someone deletes it (exceptions are someone not having an identification tag yet, or forgetting to add one, we should have it fixed soon (• ▽ •;) ). There's various reasons for this, one being that certain parts are too vulnerable to be online, others being privacy. If you see a post like this, please be respectful and don't screenshot it.
We have many non-human parts and a handful of introjects. You are free to ask about anything related to that, we love to share our experiences, but if we state we're uncomfortable answering then please respect that and don't pry further.
Going with the last one, we love getting asks! If you wanna know something than go for it! There's nothing off limits, just anything invading privacy, creepy, or NSFW. We'll let you know if you've overstepped any boundaries :]
Also, if you wanna ask a specific alter something, then we're alright with that, it just may take longer to get a response due to our sporadic fronting streaks. (We may ask them in headspace too and write what they say for them, fronting can just be really hard sometimes (;ŏ﹏ŏ) )
Link to our "family" tree
Boundaries & Other Information
We also deal with a handful of other mental issues, such as, tics, major depressive disorder, anxiety, an eating disorder (we won't talk about this), self harm (won't talk about it unless small mentionings or talk of scars), Sensory issues, dysphoria, and a handful of disorders we're questioning and still researching
Don't send anything suggestive/NSFW, while we might identify as an age above consent, that does not cancel out the fact that we live within the body of a minor. Some of our littles/regressors also often scroll through our blog, so please keep things safe
Please don't ask about trauma, its very rude and hurtful
If you're a fandom blog, please don't tag any of our posts as some sort of media, it can be quite rude
If you're unsure of what pronouns to use for us, we encourage you to default to they / them
If using other pronouns, please avoid anything along the lines of 'doll' or 'puppy'
Same applies to nicknames. We're fine with being jokingly called babe, bro, etc. but anything dehumanizing is off the table
Sorry if we spell things wrong or use incorrect grammer, we have a hard time reading and the issue is getting progressively worse. We don't think it's dyslexia, but regardless, please ask us to elaborate with an ask and we'll try our hardest. (We reread our posts a few times so they'll most likely be alright, it the tags that get bad)
We try our best to use trigger warnings for things, but we are human and will mess up, if you feel a post is missing one or would like us to start using a certain warning, then you are welcome to message us or send an ask
Anons on and we love getting asks, even if they aren't DID related, so don't be afraid to just chat or send a meme (we also have p bad social anxiety, so we understand how nerve wracking it can be)
Fun fact!: Our blog was created on April 6th of 2021 (put this here for us to remember askdfng-)
We are currently undiagnosed due to many factors, some being financial and others being that nobody qualified is near us. Until there's better cards in our deck we will remain undiagnosed (unless any opportunities arise) and will not discuss whether or not that makes us valid with you
Please keep in mind that we are not professionals! If you're asking for advice we can only give you our personal experiences and what we've researched. We love to help in any way we can though
We encourage you to block if you dont like what we post or are triggered by it, we don't mind (same applies to unfollowing). Your safety and comfort should always come first!
Please refrain from sending hate, you can have this cute picture of a cat instead
DNI's
Please don't interact with us if you're a NSFW blog or kink blog. It's fine if you make NSFW jokes every now and then, but please remember we're a minor and really don't want to see that stuff.
If you identify as Endogenic or any sort of non-trauma formed system, then this isn't the space for you. Sorry, but our mental health can't handle that part of the community. We believe what you feel is real, but we are strict believers that you need trauma (remembered or not) to develop DID. Once again, sorry, but please respect our boundaries.
Please please please no gore! It terrifies our littles!
If you are anti-recovery then it's pretty self explanatory why we don't want you here.
If you think introjects make a system fake then I will politely ask you to walk out the door, and out our life. Thanks :]
Same goes for if you believe in "problematic" introjects.
Please leave if you identify with any of the other basic DNI'S.
We do check who follows us, if we see anything that goes against our dni's, triggers us, or we simply just don't like we will block, sorry :/
"Eviction" count: 14 🥳🎉

Part 7.
The world was slipping from me. My blood was on fire - Was this Magic? it felt like magic - The edges of what I could see were fading and a cold sweat was starting to travel throughout my body. The bonds were all over the place, From Lilith and Jack I felt panic and almost like something was pulling Lilith away. From Randall I felt worry and from Hamish I felt fear, but that didn’t make sense, had we beat Rogwan? Suddenly It was like Hamish was all around me. I could feel him around me, he must have picked me up. All I could smell was blood and him. Then things started to get darker.
 Hamish’s pov
I watched Eilene as she put a hand over her stab wound and take a breath. The other acolytes had been startled by the whole thing, but they had also lost their fear of her and rushed on her. She worked to knock them out and not kill them. I was making my way over to her when her face started to loose it’s color and she stumbled a bit. Two more acolytes were running toward her. One of them shoved her into her the book case and she slumped with a heap of books to the ground with more blood spilling from her stomach and staining the pages. She managed to kick him in the face. The other I managed to hit him in the jaw. That punch was hard and I am pretty sure I heard something crack. As he slumped to the floor I made my way over to Eilene. I gathered her up in my arms as she said “Hamish I..” But I cut her off and said “Shhh it’ alright I got you.” I had to get her to Vera now.  But she continued “Hamish I have to tell you something.....” “Please, you need to save your energy.” I said and with that she leaned her head on my shoulder with her face tucked into my neck. I could feel her shallow breath come in then out, this calmed Tundra and me but only by a fraction.
“Vera I need you now! I yelled as I  kicked opened the doors to her office. Vera looked up from her desk and said “What now!” “She has been stabbed with the knife that killed Kyle, you need to heal her NOW!” I responded. As I was speaking she was up and opening the doors to the smaller temple and said “how long ago was she stabbed - here lay her on the alter.” As I laid her down I said “Maybe 10 minutes ago.” Eilene hadn’t stirred as I laid her down. Vera lifted her shirt to get a closer look and found that there were these dark red veins spreading from her stab wound. “That didn’t happen when I was stabbed or when Kyle died.” I said looking at Vera for answers. “That is because this knife appears to have been tampered with since it was used on you and my best guess would be that someone anointed it with a magical poison to speed up the process of killing werewolves.” she said. My patience was worn too thin “Was it you?” I asked. “Mr. Duke if I wanted you and your little group dead you would be. This blade was enchanted with malicious intent, to make whoever it stabbed die a painful death. Even I am not that cruel.”
Just then Eilene’s eyes shot open and she screamed through a clenched jaw. The red veins started traveling up her neck and toward her eyes. I grabbed her hands to help hold her down. Vera ran back into her office while I placed a had on her cheek. “Hey, hey look at me Eilene, look at me.” I said in an attempt to calm her. Her breathing was heavy and coming out in gasps. “ It’s going to be OK, you are going to be OK. I am right here with you.” I said. Vera came rushing back in and over to counter with various objects on it. Randall came in right behind her and over to the other side of the alter. “What happened? Is she going to be alright? Did we win?” he asked. “Move” Vera shouted as she brought a silver bowl up to the alter. “Now, both of you hold her down, I am going to heal her wound and then she will need to drink this mixture to stop the poison.” Both Randall and I braced Eilene on each side as Vera moved to the head of the alter and spoke to Eilene. “Now Ms. Danvers, after I heal you stab wound you are going to have to drink every drop of this. It’s going to hurt like hell but you have to drink it all ok?” Eilene just nodded, she was getting more pale and the red veins looked as if they were getting darker, taking root in her body.
Vera placed her hand over Eilene’s stab wound and her hand glowed. When she removed her hand there was no scar just a stain of blood on her skin. Then she brought her attention to the bowl for step two. “Down the hatch as they say.” She said to Eilene as she started to pour the liquid down her throat. Eilene took a few gulps and then a breath. Sweat started to form on her brow and she was gritting through her teeth when Vera started to pour a second round of the potion. This time Eilene started to resist against Hamish and Randall. She was able to shove Randall off to his surprise “Wow someone had their breakfast this morning .” He said before getting a hold of her again so Vera could give her the last of the potion. Hamish could feel Tundra getting even more antsy inside him. Tundra came to the surface but just a little. He looked at Eilene, steam was starting to rise up from her skin. She was burning up and gritting through her teeth so hard he thought her teeth might break. She had been trying not to scream this whole time and then closed her eyes and relaxed alittle.
“What is happening to her?” I looked to Vera. She replied “The poison is literally burning out of her system by evaporation. It’s the only way to remove it from her blood stream.” right as the words were leaving Vera's lips Eilene gulped for air and then arched back against the alter forcing both he and Randall to put more weight on her. This went on for a few minutes and then finally she let out the scream she had been holding. The steam came off her more and then subsided. She fell back down and her breathing evened out. The red veins from before were now completely gone and she gripped my hand. With her eyes halfway closed she said hoarsely “Thank you, Hamish I L” and then she passed out from exhaustion. Vera spoke “Don’t be afraid Mr. Duke, she is just sleeping and will probably be so for a few hours.” “Thank you.” I said as I looked up at her. She just nodded and then left. Leaving just him, Randall and Eilene. Jack then burst through the doors with Alyssa. Something had happened. I looked back down at Eilene running my thumb over her cheek. "Where is Lilith?" Randall asked, and the look on Jack's face told Hamish it wasn't good. Looking from the passed out girl on the alter to the rest of the group he said “We are all going to the Den tonight just as soon you tell us what happened and we have a very strong drink.”
Part 8 coming soon.

Ocean au (Harvey Dent part 4)
N/A: More two pieces and this fic will be done. I think. This time Kurt will take Kitty to meet his work and people will see the elusive Kitty Pryde.
@dannybagpipesarecalling @djinmer4 @bamfoftheundead @muninandhugin
The Gotham News is not exactly a place one would ever imagine is romantic to bring a date-and maybe, this wrong idea comes from the many movies New Gotham loves to make wherein a pretty journalist ends up falling in love with a super-hero or super-villain. Is a Hallmark at this point- whilst J.J.Perry abominates this notion with all his being-which according to Vera Sweet isn´t much, but, she digress-so, is a bit of surprise to no one, in particular, to see Kurt Ryder showing Gotham News to a woman with chestnut hair and doe eyes.
Of course, he´s showing what´s possible for his guest- Kurt Ryder is a professional and wouldn´t ever let a random person see his notes or other people´s works, not going to do this not even to Vera Sweet- and the others reporters, journalists, and freelancers are looking at the scene with beady eyes- Peter Ross is the one igniting this feeling the most- and Kurt Ryder is not bothered by this.
"Is this normal?" Kitty asked having the knowledge of journalism brought by movies and all the memes New Gotham have- she looks around to see all the co-workers look at her with either awe, pity, or jealous- and she asks again. "Kurt...are you a popular person or that hated?"
"I´m me, that´s more than enough" he speaks and changes his tone once noticing her deadpan. "I did some things in the past, yes, but some are just jealous" and his eyes indicate to the awards on the wall with his name. "Could I be a better co-worker? Maybe. But, do I deserve all those stares? not completely" his honesty is absolute.
"Well, ok...I guess" Kitty answers trusting his answer- Vera, too excited to meet the stranger forget all the etiquettes and flashes a smile at her- shaking her hand with Kitty an introduction is made. "Hi, you´re Kitty, right? This one here...talk about you all the time"
Kitty is surrounder by other journalists making questions. "Are you all friends to this guy?" she points to Kurt and they swiftly lie or give some small talks- Cord is the one to say something positive about Kurt, while, offering some flirty smiles that aren´t appreciated by Kurt Ryder but he´s not causing a fuss- and while Kitty speaks more with Vera. "He´s my neighbor and we´re seeing each other"
While people are fishing for more information Kitty notices attorney Harvey Dent entering and how the mood is quick to change- no one is gossiping anymore- "Ryder, my favorite reporter" Harvey Dent begins shaking hands and Kitty wonders if Kurt has a natural talent to anger people or if Harvey is always like this. "Dent, my favorite attorney, are you here to confess your crime?"
Harvey Dent shakes his head. "No, I´m here to see you admit your mistake" veiled threats and a not so subtle battle between them begins, meanwhile, Kitty is looking at the coin being flipping by his fingers with total control.
"Nice coin!" Kitty said and Harvey stops to properly look at Kitty- not a flirtatious look, but, is not pretend to be friendly- "Ah, you have good eyes. This coin is a rare piece...my father gave it to me before pass away. Is my promise to the old man...I´ll get rid of the filth of this world. One by one"
"Cool, are you also vowing to look after the new killer of New Gotham?" Kitty asked and Harvey arches his eyebrows. "of course, as I know this one here will do everything he can do uncover the truth about this new killer before its too late"
Once alone, and it was all thanks to J.J.Perry, Kitty confessed something to Ryder. "That coin..." she trails off as she shakes her head and let a smug expression arrive. "That coin is not the original, and that´s fine and dandy...but, that coin also has a bloodstain there" and Ryder takes her to his office- some are making wolf whistle were tossed- and now Ryder asks one question. "Why you didn´t tell me before? We could have arrested him!"
"For a coin stained with few drops of blood? Is that illegal now?"
Kurt opens and closes his mouth and the scenarios playing in his mind clearly show no favorable outcome for him or Kitty. "Ok, point taken, but this is something I can´t ignore"
"Do you hate Harvey that much?"
"No, it is just I don´t trust someone that claims to be 100% perfect or good. His entire campaign hinges on the fact he made people see the name Harvey Dent as the second coming of Christ" Kitty arch one eyebrow at this. "Or the one and true messiah. And I can´t trust someone like that"
"Oh, then we should ask Nightcreeper to do something"
"Katzchen, mein Katzchen. Who is Nightcreeper?"
"...You´re good, Ryder"
"What?"
____________________________________________________________________________________________
One can imagine that living in New Gotham everyone would put security alarms of some sort - no matter the class or if you´re rich or poor, everyone has the equal chance of being invaded by some freak - and Columbina is skeptical as Dent´s house is free of any security system. "As well from the man itself...where is he?"
The coin is no longer with the bloodstain is properly clean- how Dent goes out with a coin like that?- and she catches the coin at the exact moment a man with half of his face disfigured has a clock aimed at her. He shot without saying anything, but, the bullets only phased through her and she flies away.
The man is screaming some profanity. And she managed to see Nightcreeper, of all people, perched on the roof of a gothic building- because this is New Gotham. Did Vampires designed this place?- and she waves at him.
"Columbina...came here to steal my heart?"
"No, Ryder. I´m here to tell where our killer is. Call Dark Claw now...also, I got his coin" she shows him the coin and Nightcreeper is heroic enough to give a call to Dark Claw.
"Wait, what did you call me?"
"Ryder! is not time to be cute!"
_____________________________________________________________________________________________
"And she´s still going to serve as bait?" Spider-Boy asked incredulously as Dark Claw is wondering if he can slap Spider-Boy...again. "Your people found where the killer is. No need to put MJ in danger" and MJ pipes in already seeing Dark Claw´s fist tight.
"I´d not mind. I´m a spy and if I could take down one killer out of the streets. I prefer to be me than Peni. Yes, she´s with Ororo helping in a mission...but, I still prefer to be me than her, and Tiger" she looks at Peter. "I made my decision. It is final!"
Dark Claw´s cellphone rings and Nightcreeper gives him some good news.
"I´m glad to hear that, MJ, because the plan will be used now"

The Vehicles of Wings of Canon: The Mysterious Stormer
Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about The World Without Authors, and neither has Aelit. However, as the ninth chapter is taking longer to write due to various Real Life impediments, I thought I could still throw you readers a bone with another behind-the-scenes snippet. And maybe even a little digital feelie.
The last chapter of Blank Sprite featured a car straight out of Mai Dire Fine, the Stormer. Before anyone asks no, it has nothing to do with the Land Rover concept car of nearly two decades ago. As in the chapter itself, the relevant car is “an old, red saloon of indiscernible model with a big rear wing and a yellow lightning bolt painted on each side”, with a spaceframe racing car chassis and a 900 horsepower Alfa Romeo Busso V6 which Sergio claims to have built himself when he was just 12 (and still as much of a Gary Stu as you can guess). It is all wheel drive, with power being transmitted by a sequential gearbox with seven gears. It’s a fairly big car, around five meters, that can seat five people comfortably (well, for as much a race car with a license plate on it can be comfortable) though it often had to carry more as Sergio was the only one capable of driving in the Mai Dire Fine core cast.
The car also features Molecular Bonded Shell from the Knight Rider continuum (the thing that makes KITT bulletproof and almost indestructable), as show in the last chapter of Blank Sprite when Vera’s MAC-10s failed to have any effect on it.
But the most insane feature of the car, not used in Blank Sprite, is the twin retractable turbofans. Housed in bays between the rear wheel wells and the rear lights, they can give the Stormer a huge boost in speed for a limited time (I think I recall claiming that their fuel tank, separate from the car’s main one, holds enough jet fuel for about five minutes of use). In Mai Dire Fine I claimed the boosted speed topped out at around 500 kph, so you can guess why Sergio wasn’t keen on using them when the Stormer is already much faster than Vera’s Porsche Carrera GT as it is. It goes without saying that the car is pretty much (by Sergio’s own admission) a Suvian artifact all in itself, though it is interesting that cars from Future GPX Cyber Formula feature similar boost systems and consistently outperform the Stormer – if I were to make a racing arc featuring Cyber Formulas it would require some in-universe rework to be actually able to keep up even with the like of the Asurada GSX and Superion GT from the first season.
As a completely fictional vehicle, for a while the only thing that existed about it was a drawing I made when I was (guess it!) 12 years old.
Tumblr media
Notice a few things. First of all, Stormer wasn’t the original name – it was originally meant to be called R4 THS (Turbo High Speed), but I liked so much how it turned out that I made it into Sergio’s own car, and so changed its name into something that soulded cooler. “ST” was the fictional car brand I used for my designs at the time, while STV literally means “Sergio Turbo Version” to denote that it is his car.
Then the data specs. They came out a bit cut in the photo, but while I always meant the car to have a 3.0 V6 (it being a heavily tuned Busso was something I decided only later while writing Blank Sprite), as I drew it I  meant it to have a staggering 1200 horsepower and to be able to reach 450 kph. The already ridicolous canon version, with 600 horsepower for 350 kph in the first arc of Mai Dire Fine and 900 hp for 400 kph top speed afterwards, is already a step down in my insanity!
I eventually reskinned a mod of a Maserati Quattroporte for Re-Volt (a videogame about RC cars released in 1999) to make a more “physical” and driveable Stormer. While not a proper car, it did allow me to make screenshots of the car to post on Mai Dire Fine‘s blog and satiated my desire to actually drive it somewhere.
Tumblr media
But no, the car for Re-Volt is not the “feelie” I was talking about. Mostly because I edited someone else’s mod for my own use, and I have no idea if the original author of the car is even around in Re-Volt communities to ask for permission to release this. It has been a long time.
However, there is a game (or, rather, a combination of games) that allowed me to recreate the Stormer with a level of accuracy never seen before. Automation, a game centered in making your own car company, that allows you to design your own cars with a high degree of freedom. While it doesn’t feature the ability to drive the cars in the game itself, it has an export feature that allows them to be used as mods in BeamNG. And this is the result.
Tumblr media
The Stormer, in all of its reality-breaking glory! In the end, I went for a mix of features of the original drawing and the Re-Volt mod. Sadly, it’s lacking the stripe on the side as I haven’t found a way to reliably do that yet.
Tumblr media
Note the panel between the lights and the wheel arch. That’s one of the turbofan bays. Of course, it is only a dummy feature in the model – actual retractable turbofans are something that Automation is sadly unable to do, and while it could be doable in Beam it requires modding and 3D modeling skills I don’t have. Also, no tow hitch at the rear – it was fairly pointless in the first place.
Tumblr media
It does feature an interior, though. It is only a recent addition to Automation and is mostly relying on mod fixtures to do the job, but it allows me to show you roughly how that car is on the inside as well. Which is… rather plain really. The Stormer was always meant as all go and no show.
Tumblr media
And also features an actual spaceframe chassis.
The engine is, as I said, derived from a 3.0 liter Busso V6 and so I used the bore and stroke of said engine as a reference. While canonically the Stormer’s engine features also a supercharger for low RPM, in Automation I was only able to put the twin turbos on it, but I still managed to get 943 horsepower, actually a little bit more than the official Mai Dire Fine figure (918). It has 792 Nm of torque, but the redline is slightly lower than the one of Mai Dire Fine at 10500 RPM instead of 12000. It doesn’t quite break the 400 kph mark either, reaching “only” 392 on a flat even surface. However, its accelleration is way better than I ever claimed: even for the latest official version I claimed a 3.5 seconds for the 0-to-100, but in Beam it actually managed an impressive 2.9 seconds.
Car is running on 245/40 R17 tyres at the front and 305/35R17 at the rear, necessary to drop down all the power through a 30/70 torque split. Weirdly enough, it is around 1485 kg according to Automation but only 1352 in BeamNG – make of that what you will. The latter figure, while fairly unrealistic, is closer to what I used to claim in Mai Dire Fine though (1300 kg).
Handling is where the Automation/BeamNG version differ the most – deliberately. The Stormer as described in my works is “Oversteer. Lots of it. All the time.” Basically, undriveable for everyone aside Sergio and maybe a few extremely talented race car drivers – and that everyone includes me. So I decided to give it a tamer handling model – it actually tends to understeer during braking, instead of going into full on oversteer mode. You can still experience the “tail out then power-over” type of drift Sergio performed while entering the highway with a bit of handbrake, though, and I find the “tame” version of the Stormer is well controllable that way as well.
So, if you have BeamNG Drive, or are planning to get it (it’s good, but it kinda requires a beefy PC to run nicely), here it is. You can finally experience my insanity first-hand by downloading it here.

Maximo Shopping Center in Rome
3C + t Capolei Cavalli and Design International celebrate the opening of Maximo Shopping Center Rome
Rome, 30 November 2020 – MAXIMO, the brand new destination dedicated to Rome and its surroundings for shopping and leisure, has been inaugurated.
Maximo presents itself as a real “destination” for shopping, leisure and socializing, with the ability to attract a large catchment area estimated at 3.5 million inhabitants in the 40-minute journey. With over 65,000 square meters of GLA distributed over three levels and 160 points of sale, including shops, restaurants and activities related to entertainment. UCI Luxe, a cinema with seven screens and 550 seats, McFit, Joy Village with bowling halls, billiards and gaming arena which, in the desired post-covid, will remain open to the public until two in the morning.
In the shopping center there is also the Cà Zampa veterinary clinic, where it is also possible to make toilets for dogs. Inside the Maximo there are also 38 restaurants with a path dedicated to street food, bars, cafes, wine bars, 17 craft businesses and the renowned Primark store, often featured in the projects signed by Design International.
The large open square overlooked by the restaurant will not only lend itself to hosting cultural, recreational and commercial events – on a total area of over 10,000 square meters – but will represent a real meeting and junction point between Maximo and the neighborhood. Laurentino in the south east quadrant of Rome.
Design International began working on Maximo in 2007, the year in which the group, after consolidating the European market from its London office, opened the Milanese studio a stone’s throw from the Duomo. Arch. Roberto Sibiano, followed the development of important Italian projects from Milan, including the Campania Shopping Center, MAXIMO, Nave de Vero, Centro Sicilia, La Cartiera, and more recently Il Centro di Arese, the da Vinci Retail Park and Hubtown at the Fiumicino airport, to name a few.
However, the path to get to the cutting of the Maximo ribbon was anything but linear. From the early stages, Design International collaborated with the architect Fabrizio Capolei of Studio Romano 3C + t Capolei Cavalli Architetti Associati and, as always happens between professionals, the meeting was immediately fruitful.
From the very first sketches and ideas, the architectural firms involved shared the fundamental pillars on which to base the project: natural light, great visibility of the windows, a complex and enveloping internal space. Everything has been imagined and designed always starting from the visitor’s experience, according to a scale of values that puts man at the center, surrounding him with visual fires (the windows) in a perspective sequence, creating the maximum contrast between full and empty spaces, thanks to the texture of skylights that bathe the space with natural light.
Architects discard a self-referential architecture, on the contrary they make it social because it belongs to the community and generates that sense of meeting, defined by Davide Padoa, CEO of Design International, as “people building & meeting place”, a place for social enrichment, sharing and the growth of common sense.
The fall of Lehman Brothers in 2008, the rise of e-commerce and the most recent perfect storm caused by the 2020 pandemic were not enough to block the birth of Maximo, a “resilient” project that was able to withstand the challenges of the market and adapt to a world in constant radical change.

Medicinal Plants that gives refreshment along with some health benefits
Greenery brightens up indoor spaces and are known to have mood-boosting qualities. Indoor plants especially medicinal plants are popular because they are relatively easy to take care of, provide health benefits and can be used in a variety of indoor décor themes. Indoor plants are a great option for those who have little yard space for an outdoor garden. VOCs(volatile organic compound) are more common in indoor areas than outdoors. This is because air and VOCs get trapped in indoor spaces; there is less air circulation. They cause illness include: irritated eyes, nose or throat, headache, drowsiness and breathing problems. These symptoms may not always be present, however, and chronic exposure may lead to lack of concentration and other health issues such as asthma and heart disease. Houseplants "can reduce physiological and psychological stress compared with mental work, stress-reduction and increased pain tolerance. Humans enjoy looking at things that are not boring but also not too complex.
1. NOISE REDUCTION PLANT:
Plants are the perfect antidote to noise pollution and sound absorption, and of course, they offer many other benefits. These include increasing home value, reducing air pollution, and beautifying your landscape. In order to boost the noise-reducing benefits of trees, you’ll need to choose ones that feature thick, dense foliage and that can be planted closely together. You need a year round noise reduction plant for your surroundings. i. Norfolk island pin: The pine needles grow out in a crisscross pattern. What this does is to help trap the sound within the plant itself. Their needles might seem small, but the surface area that they cover aids in their effectiveness as a noise blocker.
Tumblr media
ii. Ferns: Ferns have a lot of surface space to help reduce sound. You can  place them near the corners where they can trap sound from a variety of angles. They help to absorb sound and they are great at deflecting sound into the plants that surround them.
Tumblr media
iii. Rubber plants: Rubber plants cover a large surface area which only serves to enhance their sound absorbing properties.
Tumblr media
iv. Weeping fig: This plant has some thick, arching branches that help to give it a full appearance. The branches and leaves combined are great at absorbing the sound. No ringing, no echo, and a solid plant for helping reduce noise.
Tumblr media
v. Fiddle leaf fig: The bottom of the tree is narrow, so they work best when placed in an area where they are surrounded by other plants that will fill in the bottom area where sound can get through.
Tumblr media
vi. Areca palm: These plants are good as a standalone plant if you have an area that needs some sound absorption and don’t have a lot of space for multiple plants.
Tumblr media
vii. Money tree: You can plant these as a single or as multiples in one pot. The leaves on these like to stretch out like a canopy. Any sound that finds its way up into the canopy of these plants gets trapped inside like an umbrella.
Tumblr media
2. AROMA PLANTS:
These plants can replace sweetly artificial air fresheners and clean your indoor air naturally. They can also reduce your overall stress level by adding some lush foliage and aromas to your home. Fragrant plants are a great way to spruce up your space and decor with some pleasant aromas and eye-catching appeal. Many species of them also offer a variety of health benefits, which means they can also improve your wellbeing! And with so many options available, it'll be easy to find an indoor plant that offers the perfect look and aroma for you. i. Gardenia: Gardenia is one of the more famous fragrant indoor plants. This houseplant has dark green glossy leaves and white flowers, which waft a delicious aromatic sense.
Tumblr media
ii. Jasmine: With its thick green leaves and pretty white flowers, Jasmine is known for being one of the more elegant indoor plant options. This plant produces a sweet and delicate aroma.
Tumblr media
iii. Geranium: If you brush their leaves or touch them, the plant will quickly release a burst of aroma. When it comes to fragrant indoor plants, this one is easy to grow and comes in many forms. They also offer a variety of health benefits:  They lower stressThey reduce inflammationThey relieve pain (like migraines)They promote kidney healthThey aid in digestionThey boost immunity
Tumblr media
iv. Eucalyptus:  Eucalyptus for many conditions including asthma, bronchitis, plaque and gingivitis, head lice, toe nail fungus, and many others.
Tumblr media
v. Orchids: Orchids are an incredibly popular kind of fragrant indoor plant.
Tumblr media
vi. Mint: Mint plants are easy to grow and can be planted almost anywhere. It has a pleasant aroma also. They’re also great for people who may be suffering from lung disease it is the best antioxidant.
Tumblr media
vii. Lavender: Lavender is famous for it's sweet, gentle aroma and beautifully vibrant purple flowers. These plants grow best in hotspots and dry climates.
Tumblr media

How To Fix Cracked Heels Permanently In 5 Mins
Tumblr media
If you’ve ever experienced having dry, hard, cracked and callused heels, you know what a hassle they can be. It’s unsightly so you only allow yourself to wear footwear that hides them. It can be so hard and dry that you feel embarrassed to let anyone come into contact with your feet—so romantic foot massages are a definite no-no for you. It can be painful so you limit the time you spend walking or standing. But even more than that, it can increase your chances of infection in a part of your body that is essential for mobility. With all this and bathing suit and flip-flop season coming, it’s no wonder you want to get rid of hard skin on your feet quick! Here, we discuss what conditions could spring from having hard, dry skin on the feet, which causes severe drying and cracking in heels, and how to keep feet soft and callous-free.
Calluses, corns and cracked heels: what’s the difference?
While you may want to blame your body for making things harder for you (pun intended), you should try to understand the development of thick skin as a protective mechanism. Imagine if your skin remained soft in areas that are continuously subjected to abrasive circumstances—you’d develop rashes, blisters, wounds, and scars in no time. Our bodily tissues are more protected the thicker our skin becomes.  Hard skin can come in the form of calluses or corns. Calluses are large areas of hard skin that are spread out; corns are usually smaller and appear to be radiating from a defined centre. You may observe that running your hand over a callus does not produce the same feeling as touching the other, softer parts of your feet. That’s because the skin is thickened with layers of dead cells and not as sensitive. In contrast, corns are usually painful when touched. Cracked heels, also known as heel fissures, are a result of both pressure and lack of moisture. Just like anything that is too dry, skin can become brittle and crack. If it’s on the surface, it can look rather unappealing. If it’s deeper, it can be very painful and lead to infection.
What causes severe dry skin on feet?
It has a lot to do with pressure and friction. Your feet receive the brunt of your body weight when you are upright—which is most of the time! What’s worse is if the pressure is concentrated on certain parts instead of being evenly distributed across your feet—as is the case when you wear ill-fitting shoes, when your feet have parts that jut out and rub against other material (like bunions, hammertoes or arthritis), or when the arch of your feet is either too flat or too high. The places that receive more pressure or are exposed to more friction is where you will likely develop hard skin. Loss of skin elasticity and moisture is another reason for dry, flaky and hard feet—particularly for cracked heels. Age, predisposing conditions like diabetes or obesity, and lack of skincare are contributing factors. However, one important consideration that often goes unnoticed when you think about hard skin on the feet is nutritional problems. Simply put, cracked heels and vitamin deficiency often go hand-in-hand.
How To Fix Cracked Heels
What to do: Prepare a mixture of one cup of Listerine, one cup of white vinegar, and 2 cups of water.Soak your feet in the mixture for 15 minutes.Remove your feet, and scrub them using a pumice stone to remove dead skin.Rinse with clean water.Pat dry, and moisturize. How often: Repeat every day until your heels heal. Related: Best Natural Remedy For Glowing Skin
Vitamin and Nutrient Deficiencies That Make Your Heels Cracked, Dry and Flaky
Vitamin A. One of the many functions of Vitamin A in the body is to create and repair skin cells, protect against damage, and keep inflammation to a minimum. In fact, it is used in many skincare products—you may be more familiar with its active form: retinol or retinoic acid. Cracked heels are from dry, dead skin cells, so increasing an antioxidant that helps replenish skin is definitely going to help. Aside from supplements and vitamin-infused products, food rich in beta carotene are prime sources of Vitamin A. A good rule of thumb? Look for fruits and vegetables, specifically ones that are red, yellow, or orange. Vitamin C. The C in Vitamin C might as well stand for “collagen” with how important it is to collagen production! Another prime ingredient in many a beauty product, this component helps skin heal faster and more efficiently—a powerful ally in soothing areas of the skin that suffer from the effects of pressure, friction and lack of moisture. You can get supplements and creams over-the-counter, or eat your fill of citrus fruits, broccoli, spinach, and strawberries! Vitamin E. This nutrient is an antioxidant that helps nourish the skin by improving cell function. The body naturally produces Vitamin E in the excretion of sebum. In this form, it helps moisturize the skin. We learned that cracked heels are just as much about dryness as it is about pressure, so you definitely need Vitamin E to help make it soft. It can be taken in the form of supplements, topical creams, or through the diet in the form of healthy seafood, green vegetables, seeds, and plant-based oils. Vitamin B3. This nutrient’s other name may be more familiar to you as a component of many skincare products: niacinamide. It helps the skin by boosting immunity and helping it retain moisture by optimizing the performance of the epidermis—again, a great way to fight against the dreaded cracked heel! You can get your dose of vitamin B3 by eating red meat, poultry, fish, tomatoes and asparagus. Try looking for products infused with it as well! Omega3. Fatty Acids. This is what you need if you want to improve hydration and increase protection for your skin. This nutrient keeps collagen damage at a minimum and maintains the integrity of the lipid-based cell membrane to ensure moisture is retained. Not only that, they have the added benefit of helping your heart and circulatory system running better! Use products that incorporate healthy fish oil to increase your intake of these essential fatty acids. Zinc. Zinc has been known to help with cases of severe acne—so how can it help with cracked heels? The reason why zinc is great for pimples is that it helps the skin heal from lesions, which incidentally also occur when you have heel fissures! It helps keep inflammation down and regeneration up. This mineral is not needed in large quantities, so it best incorporated into the diet. Not a problem, since you can get it from delicious chicken, lamb, beef, dark chocolate, oysters, and other common foods. How to prevent hard, dry, cracked feet and heels?
Tumblr media
How to prevent dry cracked feet and heels Most likely, the dryness and hardness of the skin on your feet are caused by a number of factors—not just one. So, it is best to adopt a holistic approach that targets all the problem areas. This means you need to find ways to alleviate pressure or friction while keeping your feet moisturized, while also helping your skin cells regenerate quicker. Sounds like a lot? Don’t worry, there are fairly easy solutions that won’t take up too much of your time! Start with wearing shoes that fit properly. Try on the shoes that you have and try to wiggle your toes. If there’s hardly any space for them to move, consider throwing those away and replacing them with a pair that affords more wiggle room. Next time you buy shoes, walk around in them and pay special attention that no part of your foot is uncomfortably rubbing against the shoe. If you have irregularly-arched feet, consider seeing a podiatrist help distribute the pressure. Below, we will list some products used in a daily routine to fix cracked heels permanently!
6 at-home remedies to permanently get rid of hard skin and cracked heels quick
Home-made foot soaks should be part of your routine to get softer, crack-less feet. Remember that the hardened skin is layers of dead skin cells that no longer receive moisture and nutrition. Removing them is key to helping the underlying healthy cells blossom. Here are some home remedies you can try. Just mix the ingredients and leave your feet in for around 10-15 minutes. Half cup Listerine + half cup vinegar + 2-3 tablespoons honey + 1 gallon of warm water. Listerine contains methyl salicylate, an exfoliant that helps remove dead skin cells. Vinegar helps prep the foot by softening the skin before Listerine works its magic. Honey offsets the drying effect of the mixture by providing moisture, as well as acting as an antiseptic. Warm water helps dilute the solution so it is not overly harsh on the skin. 3 teaspoons rice flour + 1 teaspoon honey + 2-3 drops apple cider vinegar. In this recipe, rice flour is the exfoliant that also helps purify and rejuvenate the skin. Honey is for hydration and sanitation, while vinegar helps prep the skin. 1 teaspoon Vaseline + 3-4 drops lemon juice. Lemon juice is a citrus fruit that contains Vitamin C for skin regeneration, while Vaseline is a potent moisturizer. With this method you will fix cracked heels permanently Half a cup Epsom salt + warm water in a basin. Epsom salt helps with inflamed skin and helps soften the heels. After this foot soak, rub your feet gently with a moisturizing agent—aloe vera gel, coconut oil or shea butter are great options.  2 tablespoons lemon + 1 tablespoon salt + 1 cup glycerin + half cup rose water. Glycerin and rose water are intense moisturizers that also help balance the skin’s pH level. Lemon adds Vitamin C to the mixture, while salt helps exfoliate the skin with gentle rubbing.  Read: Acne Cause And Treatment: Symptoms Coconut Oil For Cracked Heels

How To Fix Cracked Heels Permanently - My Routine For Perfectly Soft Skin On My Feet
Tumblr media
If you wish for nothing more than a pair of soft, moisturized, and healthy feet, I highly recommend my personal routine for keeping those calluses, corns, and cracked heels away.  Start out with weekly foot filing! I use the Electric Callus Remover from Own Harmony mostly because I got tired of scrubbing my feet with a pumice stone. It used to take me twenty minutes to exfoliate the dead skin off, but going electric has reduced it to less than half of the time. Sure, I lose my twenty minutes of a pretty intense arm workout, but I’ve noticed it takes off even the most stubborn callus with a lot less effort. Plus, it’s easy to clean, rechargeable, and has lasted me for months now. I love it! I do a foot scrub once to three times a week, depending on my schedule. I’ve recently fallen in love with the Oleavine Theratree Exfoliating Scrub. First of all, it smells amazing being chockfull of essential oils (including mint, which gives me a tingly clean feeling after I use it). It also has a bamboo charcoal powder that brings out the dirt, dead skin cells and grime accumulated by my feet (sorry for the graphic description—but you get it!). What makes it especially good at exfoliation is micro pumice and white willow bark. Since I’ve used this, bye-bye calluses!) I’ll let you in on a little secret: Read: What Happens When You Loss Your Virginity Before 22 I even use this scrub on my face and occasionally all over my body! It’s my little secret hack that many girls would never think to do. I have oily skin that needs extra exfoliating to get rid of all the built-up oils and dead skin cells. It smells minty and refreshing in the shower. If you decide to try this on your face, start with a small amount, otherwise, it will burn. You’ll feel the tingly sensation. I personally love it! My pores are clear, my skin feels softer, and my acne disappears within 5 days of using this stuff. So you know how sheet face masks are becoming a thing now? What if I told you they have the same but for your feet? I purchase the Evagloss Exfoliating and Moisturizing Foot Masks over and over again because this product is literally magic. They come in packs of three sock-like foot masks. You put on the exfoliating ones for 1-1.5 hours. In one to two weeks, your feet will be peeling heavily, but only to reveal what feels like brand new, baby soft feet underneath! The moisturizing feet masks are used within that period to help keep your feet moisturized and aid in the peeling process. If you’re the type of girl that likes to dedicate 1 day a week to throw on a plush robe, binge watch Netflix, and give yourself an at-home facial, then you need to add this foot hydration and exfoliating socks to your routine. It’s so simple and you can do it simultaneously with your facial. Read: Why Late Period Is Not Pregnancy To give my feet the extra moisturizing treatment after all the exfoliation, I like to wrap my feet in socks every night after slathering on the AHAVA Dead Sea Mineral Foot Cream. When I take them off in the morning, my feet are so soft I wish I could transfer the skin on them to my face. It’s free of harsh chemicals like parabens and phthalates, instead of relying on minerals naturally found in the Dead Sea like magnesium, calcium, and potassium hydrate. It does wonder for keeping my heels fissure-free! Lastly, I like to change it up by using any one of the home remedies I listed above. But to be completely honest, if I had to pick one that I use over and over again, it would have to be the glycerin and rosewater combination. Maybe because I just love how my feet end up smelling like roses and feeling like rose petals. Read: Amazing Benefits Of Avocado Oil In short, having dry-skinned, hard-textured and cracked feet is definitely not the end of the world. There are so many ways you can have the soft, moisturized feet of your dreams. While it may take some time and experiment with what products and routines work for you, I guarantee that one of those mentioned in this article will help you out. Before you know it, you’ll be walking around in flip flops and open-heel shoes, asking your special someone for foot massages, and enjoying pain-free walking and standing.  Let us know if you have any questions or if you want to comment on your own experience with home remedies for How To Fix Cracked Heels Permanently to help other future readers out!

Subways, Metropolises, And Notes From The Underground The history of humanity adapted from nomadic lifestyles to settled lifestyles by making great strides in agriculture, production, and industry. Social order, rooted and stratified in centers, provides sociocultural progression into various comfort areas. The concept of the metropolis is described as a demographic area of obesity arising from the necessity of living together. While the Industrial Revolution was thought to be the main reason for the populational obesityof the cities, it also speeded up the process of modernization. Constructing comfortable cities above ground, then focusing on space studies with technological advances can be considered as modern time efforts. Trying to move “downwards” both for the safety of the planet and transportation could be a nice idea considering that the earth we walked on also has an underground.
While eliciting this idea, it is worth noting that the efforts to go underground, regardless of the need for transportation, are as old as human history. The first works concerning living underground occurred for shelter and protection purposes. From the individual settlements to the communal life, from local storages activities to gigantic underground cities, we see that there has always been an effort to move to the center of the world since the archaic periods of human history.
Today, we witness that underground stations, which are the arterial nodes of underground transportation, become public centers, evolve into crowded places in terms of human circulation, and transform their structures from cold and uncanny atmospheres into modern and fun centers. Let’s start our journey in which we compile subway stations from all corners of the world, some of which are rich in history and some of which are valuable in terms of being modern facilities.
Light, Shadow, And Color: Toledo Metro Station The light illusions, the magic of art and integration with daily life. These are the best expressions to define Toledo Station, one of the subway art stations of the city of Naples. When the city administration decided to design the underground arteries surrounding the city on a certain integrity basis, the art became the main uniting element of this project.  The station which was designed around earth, light, water and sky symbols dazzles with spiritual implications in contrast with the monotony of the daily life of the subway users. Toledo (50 m.), One of the deepest subway stations in Europe, has been designed according to three depth levels by taking advantage of this depth. The wall remains of the Kingdom of Aragon, founded in Europe a thousand years ago, adorning the underground theme of the station. In the upper layer representing the Earth, the bright yellow colors of the Mediterranean sun prevail. Seascape form created with light illusions on glass ceramics and wave motifs on the walls creates the sea level thanks to the fascinating effects of blue tones.
References To The Russian History: Kievskaya Subway Station One of the most popular subway arteries of the country, which is considered as one of the symbols of the city like Red Square or Kremlin Palace, reflects the design of the Russian city, which is one of the first pioneers that comes to mind when planning the city. The construction of the subway network of Kievskaya, which is always on the top of the list of the most aesthetic metro stations in the world, took place between 1914 and 1918. Vladimir Shukhov and Ivan Rerberg, architectural designers, managed to reflect the architectural aura of Russian palaces on the metro station. The composition is designed on the basis that stained glass, mosaics, marble and chandeliers, and bright floors emit light and thus getting rid of the dim and dim atmosphere of the underground space. Sculptures, murals, and reliefs create the impression of an art gallery or museum.
One can understand that Russian history is one of the important pioneers regarding art, philosophy, literature, science, and politics from the fact that each station of the Moscow Subway was named after an important figure in the Soviet Era. Chekhovskaya, Dostoevskaya, Mayakovskaya, Pushkinskaya, Leninskaya, just like Kievskaya offer a brief history of Russian art and politics to locals who have to use this node every day and to tourists who visit the city.
Designed to be a safe underground shelter against a possible nuclear attack during the Cold War years, an important period in the recent history of Soviet Russia, the station has now achieved a true art gallery ambiance, which is far away from militarist paranoia. The art deco form, which has infiltrated the fashion and decoration of modernism, Kievskaya Empire exhibits the harmony of traditional and modern thanks to its gothic and Russian folk patterns
Mysterious and Exotic: Pyongyang Subway System Pyongyang Subway, which is one of the mysterious structures of North Korea, which is a closed form of governance, has a history of nearly fifty years. The construction activities of the subway have been given a start by the grandfather of their current leader Kim Jong-Un and because of the security paranoias (valid even today), it was built more than 110 mt deep underground.
The propaganda-art approach seen in many of the socialist administrations have implemented the most obvious practices in Pyongyang Subway. The traditional paintings and sculptures found in the station are interpreted as a typical reflection of the closed political atmosphere with their archaic forms, far from modernism, although the mosaic decorations create a relative ornament and harmony.. Designs with the spirit of the Soviet socialist realistic art movement look at the world through a monotonous window just like the North Koreans using the station. The luminous luminaires, which are rumored to weigh four tons, offer a relative movement as an attempt to reverse the station’s uniformity of design.

Reflections Of The Images On The Glass: Formosa Boulevard Station Kaohsiung, Taiwanungs city has one of the most interesting designs of all subway stations in the World. Formosa Station is at the intersection of two subway arteries of the city, in a very lively location where human action does not pause for a moment. What distinguishes it from other subway stations is not its passenger traffic. What distinguishes it, is the huge ceiling called “Dome of Light” which is designed with stained glass in various sizes. Designed by Italian artist Narcissus Quagliata, the 4500 glass panels are jointed to cover an area of approximately 2180 square meters. While the idea of a sun-deprived architectural design underground having a stained glass is ironic on its own, putting symbolic meaning onto it made the designers work even more complicated. The ceiling symbolizes the life adventure of humankind throughout history. The metaphorical reflection of soil, water, light, and fire in stained glass, provides the subway station with light illusions.
Northern and Aesthetical: Stockholm Subway Northern European countries are famous for their peace and quiet and urban structures which are far away from chaos and disorder. The people who live in a geography where the sun doesn’t shine except for a short period, have daily habits which make life easier by choosing the plain and minimal. Transportation for a Stockholmer means either using a bike or the subway. As such, it was inevitable for Stockholm which is both the capital and biggest city of Sweden, to have a rich subway network. Three separate subway lines (called blue, green and red) circulating the city through a total of 105 stations, making it possible to transport close to one and a half million passengers daily from one corner of the city to another. The high level of welfare has made it possible for local people to choose an actual art-prone life. It is possible to see the reflections of this situation easily by looking at the metro stations.
Since the 1950s, local artists, especially Vera Nilsson and Siri Derkert started the trend of decorating the subway stations with Works of art, saved the Stockholm subway from being a regular station and turned it into a modern art gallery. After the ‘70s this trend turned into a more systematic format that was even organized by art designers and curators thus made Stockholm, where city and art intertwine, one of the best of public space transformation in the World.
An Abandoned Design Wonder: City Hall Metro Station New York is undoubtedly one of the metropoles where the linear correlation between the subway networks and urbanization is obvious. City Hall Subway Station is an unfortunate stop in terms of active users even though its construction dates back to centuries ago.  City Hall Station, which has a gusto design ahead of its time, has kept its beauty like a treasure buried under the ground for many years with its ceramic arches, brass fittings, and curved form. Just as the ill fate of the station was about to change thanks to the plans of the authorities to reunite it with people, the 9/11 chaos kept it from happening. The station, which attracted the attention of a group of New Yorker artists thanks to its distinctive atmosphere, which does look like Hollywood sets with its interesting arches and ceiling windows, was re-introduced with The Underbelly Project. PAC and Workhouse, New York-based graffiti artist have decorated the subway walls with hundreds of paintings and other Street artists are continuing with this crazy installation.
Gorgeous and Rich: Burjuman Subway Station Burjuman, a subway station in Dubai, that has been attracting the attention of rich people in the western countries as a tourism destination in the last years, is  compatible with Dubai’s modern urban design, has a history of almost 10 years The station used by those who want to come to BurJuman Center, one of the largest shopping centers in Dubai, is as spectacular as the Dubai tourist centers. Burjuman, with its ambiance dominated by the color blue, with its gigantic chandeliers and designer objects for which no expense was spared, looks more like a multi-star hotel than a subway station and it dazzles people by being one of the places where the country’s overall ‘wealth’ is made visible. Although the circulation of passengers is planned with a focus on the shopping center, the location is very close to the Dubai Museum, so it is also for the visitors who didn’t come just for an expensive holiday but also for taking a look at the country’s history and culture. The subway station, where the concept of public space has turned into a tourism and economy-oriented connotation, is also an obvious reflection of the country’s overall economic vision.
Time Travel From Galata To Pera: Tünel Metro Tünel Metro, which also gives its name to the square where it is located, has not only served a nostalgic function in any period of its service history but has always performed its transportation function except for war or technical problems.  The historical subway line, which is designed for the passengers who have reached Karaköy by sea and then wants to go to Beyoğlu (Pera) and which connects these two ancient Istanbul districts,  is known as one of the first examples of ‘integrated public transportation in terms of public transportation design and techniques. It is known as the second oldest public transportation system in the world after the subway transportation which was launched in London in 1863.
The project was designed by the French engineer Eugene Henri Gavand, who came to İstanbul for a touristic visit, with the idea of connecting Galata and Pera, the most important community place of the period, by rail.  The project submitted to Sultan Abdülaziz Han was immediately put into practice and (Gavand) was granted a 42-year concession with the condition that the Tünel subway system will become public domain after this period is over and the subway was opened for service in 1875. At the opening ceremony held on January 17th of the same year, in his speech the company manager Albert’s speech emphasized that the functional reflection of the task of combining Eastern and Western elements originating from Istanbul’s geographical fate will come to life with this metro line.
The subway which could not serve for some time due totechnical difficulties and lack of materials during the Second World War, was electrified in 1971.  Thus, the distance of 573 meters between Karaköy and Beyoğlu has been covered by electric power in one and a half minutes while it has become an important public vehicle carrying approximately 12 thousand passengers over two hundred rounds per day. In the same process, the renovation task given to a French company. It was completely renewed and adapted to the era while preserving its originality.
From The Speed Of Life To The Magic Of Space  Subway Stations The history of modern urbanization has revised the definition of the public sphere many times during the process. We see that socio-cultural issues, which are among the main issues where economic and political developments immediately intervene with an organic change reflex, also modernize public spaces. Metro stations are also regarded as public spaces that bring together the aforementioned modern-day urbanists with an uncommon frequency. While the speed of daily life increases day by day, it is, of course, unthinkable that routine practices do not keep up with this. The “hasty daily life” habits of city-dwellers, which shows similarities regardless of where you live in the World, caused the public spaces and socializing areas to intertwine. Metro stations in an average metropolis must have triggered the feeling of belonging to hundreds of thousands of citizens a day and the relative ‘sense of trust of crowds. We discussed the history of the metro stations from various metropolises of the world, their public values, aesthetic designs, works of art, light, color, and decorations. While writing the waiting areas of these hasty means of transportation, it was appropriate to keep the two basic issues that were always in mind to the last. The relationship between the fast flow of time and the magic of space… Just like the French philosopher Gaston Bachelard did in Poetics of Space. The entity that wants to pass quickly and pursues the lost time in the past; it is obvious that he wants to stop the hasty time that curls like a river in front of him.  he space keeps time-compressed in the combs of our memory. Space is the memory repository of experiences.

NOTES
The First Subway Work: Thames Tunnel It was 1843 when the first tunnel of the world called Thames Tunnel was built under the river with the same name for pedestrians and freight transportation. This is also considered the beginning of the history of the subway, the most important type of transport architecture. The evolution from conventionality to modernity has been evident since 1860 in the context of the need for transportation in continental Europe. The Germans using the rock drills and the British, who started to open the subway networks with the help of dynamite, succeed in establishing underground transportation networks in Western metropolises.
Naples’ Underground Sun The station which is one of the important figures of history of Naples, has been renovated by the Spanish architect Oskar  Tusquets Blanca and its renewed visuality wins recognition. The station is located near Via Toledo, one of the streets where the human circulation is high, and the visual aura of the station has affected the underground as well as above.
From Symbolism To Architecture To show the goodwill and the friendship between the Russians and Ukrainians, symbolic values were attributed to the station which was designed round and is a part of the Moscow subway network. Kievskaya which resembles a museum or an art gallery is one of the important city memories of Moscow with its crystal lighting, aesthetic and colorful artistic objects
Pyongyang Metro Museum The museum, which exhibits the works of the subway system, construction activities, tools and documents, even archived records and technical plans photographed throughout the works, is almost a building-memory feature. The North Korea administration which wants to encourage his people to work and produce wishes to remind them how such an important architecture has been developed with Pyongyang Subway Museum.
Dome Of Light The designer who looked at humankind’s history from an anthropologic perspective emphasized the fundamental items that humans need to survive on earth with “Dome of Light” which is the most interesting place in the Taiwan subway network.
Kungsträdgården Subway Station Kungsträdgården, meaning “King’s Garden, stands out with its architectural form that looks like a concrete underground cave. This design is the common aspect of the many stations that Stockholm Subway which is built after 1970s has which is built after the 1970s. It is a reminder of the Malakös Palace, which was built on the current position of the suburbs in the 17th century and later got destroyed in a fire.
A Story On Being Forgotten The abandoned subway station of New York, City Hall, is now a stopover for street artists. New Yorkers, who were deprived of its visual elegance for many years, can discover the station which turned into an unofficial art gallery.
A “Tunnel” Between Ottoman and The Republic For those arriving from Karaköy to Pera by Tünel Metro, this route is a journey through history. The tiles adorning the walls of the station make you feel like the hero of an old-time story. The Tünel Metro, a living history that has been closely witnessed by Istanbul lovers every day from the early years of the Ottoman and the Republic period to the present, continues to function as well as preserving its nostalgic appearance.

2020 Preview: 11 Things We’re Stupidly Excited About In 2020
Another year over. Finito, done, never to be seen again. But there’s no time to mourn its passing because – quite frankly – we’re just too amped-up with excitement and hoopla for everything that’s coming up in the next 12 months. It’s goodbye 2019 and hello 2020, you absolute, spanking new beauty. And if you’re not up to speed yet with all the buzz, here are 12 things to get seriously excited about in 2020 – and year-defining cultural and social happenings about to change your world.Little Tony SopranoBig franchises might continue to dominate the multiplexes in 2020 – Marvel, DC, Fast & Furious – but the follow-up film to be excited about in 2020 is The Sopranos prequel The Many Saints of Newark.Going back to the late 1960s, it will tell the story of Sopranos-verse OG Dickie Moltisanti, much talked about father of Sopranos wild-child Christopher and mentor to Tony Soprano himself. Series creator David Chase is behind this, so there’s no need to worry about it not living up to the standards of what is still (no arguments, please) the greatest TV show of all time. There’s a stellar cast lined up, including Vera Farmiga, Jon Bernthal, and – most excitingly – Tony Soprano actor James Gandolfini’s real-life son, Michael Gandolfini, playing the young Tony. In a word: fuggetaboutit. The Return of BondIt’s been a strange few years for 007. After the huge success (but critical meh) of 2015’s Spectre, it sounded like Daniel Craig’s tenure as James Bond was finished. “I’d rather slit my wrists,” were his words, though he was probably joking, about returning to the role. Then Trainspotting director Danny Boyle dropped out of the problem, the first of several production problems. So many, in fact, you’d be forgiven for thinking that Bond’s arch nemesis Blofeld had a cat-stroking hand in it.But after five long, Bond-less years, Her Majesty’s finest is back for No Time To Die – now confirmed as Craig’s final outing as 007. The trailer has got us excited already – stunts, suits (yes, we haven’t even seen the film, and already Bond is looking fine), the sexy cars, and deadly woman. Ana De Armas in eveningwear shooting the place up? Take our money. Take it now.Football Coming Home (For Real This Time)Remember when football sort of came home for the World Cup in 2018, but then also sort of didn’t at the last minute? Well, this year it comes home for real when the Euro 2020 stages games in both London and Glasgow, plus 10 other European cities for the tournament’s first ever multi-nation event.Expect the football fever that gripped this country during the World Cup to be booted all the way up to 11 because a) England are actually good again, for the first time in a quarter century and b) games on home turf always make it more special. But also expect football style to be at the forefront of menswear this summer. Retro football shirts will be out in force, a callback to the terrace fashion, while contemporary labels are also game for football these days.Exploring A ‘What If?’ WorldWhile alternate history novels usually explore what might have happened if the baddies had won (such as in Robert Harris’ Fatherland about a Nazi-controlled future), the real world feels a bit like an actual dystopia these days.Science-fiction maestro William Gibson is putting a spin on the concept with Agency – both a sequel and prequel to his time-travel novel The Peripheral – about a future in which Trump didn’t win the 2016 election, Brexit never happened, and – presumably – the world isn’t burning and on the verge of war. It could be the anti-nightmare escapism we need in 2020.Getting Up To Speed With 5GAfter a staggered (and sometimes controversial) soft launch last year, 2020 is the year that 5G will become the new, super-fast standard in data networks. But it’s not just about facilitating our mobile phone addictions at increased speeds; the capacity of 5G will change our devices, technology, how business operate, and how we communicate with each other. In short, in a world ruled by technology and connected by digital communications, 5G is going to have a major impact.Samsung already has a 5G phone available here in the UK and an Apple phone is set to follow sometime in 2020. In the UK, 5G is slower than many other parts of the world but it’s just getting started – already in the US, 5G is capable of speeds almost 100 times faster than 4G smartphones.Manly ArtWe’re now 20 years into the century, during which time the state, consequences, and future of masculinity has been fiercely debated, and the parameters of what it means to be a man redrawn. It’s quite right that in 2020, a number of exhibitions are set to offer interesting perspectives on this undefinable thing we call masculinity.Between February and May, the Barbican will host Masculinities, a collection of film and photography exploring how masculinity has been coded, performed, and socially constructed from the 1960s to now. Exhibitions at the Tate on David Hockney and Andy Warhol show will social and cultural perspectives from two of art’s great male personalities. But most exciting is an exhibition at the Tate (Feb-May) celebrating 25 years of the Turner Prize and Oscar-winning artist Steve McQueen’s work, one of the most crucial, diverse, and relevant masculine voices in 21st Century British culture. An Upgrade For GamersAfter years of being promised that VR is the future of gaming, that looks set to actually happen with the arrival Half-Life: Alyx, the much-anticipated VR game(-changer). Couple that with the Oculus Quest, and we’ll be glad to spend 2020 escaping the real world for virtual alternatives.Regular gaming is also due an upgrade with next generation consoles due towards the end of the year. The Xbox Series X is rumoured to be four times more powerful that its predecessor, and will see the return of Master Chief with the all-new Halo. If you think 4K looks sharp, its 8K resolution will poke your eyes right out.Never one to be outdone by a rival machine, Sony will also launch the PS5, rumoured to include next-gen VR and visual techniques used in Hollywood blockbuster SFX. Rainbow Six Quarantine, Godfall, and a mysterious new title from the designers behind Shadow of the Colossus are all confirmed.50 Years of GlastonburyThe greatest music festival in the history of mankind will be throwing a whopper party for its 50th anniversary this year. Sorry, Burning Man, you’re good, but your sunbaked pretentiousness can never top some music-in-a-field debauchery.Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift have been confirmed to headline Glasto, with Kenrick Lamar tipped to headline the Friday night. If you haven’t got a ticket, don’t worry – tickets go on resale in April, but even if you’re not there, Glastonbury is more than a party in Somerset – it’s a cultural happening that will rock the entire country. Even from the comfort of your living room, expect to discover new bands, experience amazing sets, and make promises to yourself that you’ll never miss getting a ticket ever again.Eco-TravellingInspired perhaps by the shame of getting a thundering, disapproving look from Greta Thunberg, there’s been a surge in people seeking out environmentally friendly travel options – and 2020 could be the year we all think about saving the planet as well as travelling it.Both Rolls Royce and Airbus will put electric aeroplanes to the test this year, while zero-waste travel accessories and eco travel apps such as Green Globe and Olio are becoming hot (but not too hot, they’re keeping the emissions low) trends. Train travel has also seen a rise in popularity. And it’s not just the means of getting there, but destinations themselves, with eco-friendly resorts across the world. Usually for a less-than-modest price, of course, but less extortionate options are out there – nature-based travel, or hiking, climbing, and rambling hols. And if you can hang on until 2022, the world’s first energy positive hotel – Svart in Norway – is due to open.Streaming Wars = Massive BingeIf you’re old enough to remember the lukewarm battle between VHS and DVD, you’ll know what this is all about. It’s happening all over again, but this time nuclear, as top streaming platforms will lock and load to compete for your eyeballs’ attention.Apple TV has already launched and WarnerMedia’s HBO Max is set to launch in May. But the real fight will be between Netflix and Disney+. Netflix will aim to continue its dominance with After Life Season 2, The Haunting of Hill House follow-up series Bly Manor, and – probably – Stranger Things 4. Not to mention it’s never-ending supply of soul-troubling true crime docs.On the other channel, Disney – whose stronghold on all other areas of entertainment is reaching Galactic Empire levels – will fire back with Star Wars series The Mandalorian, Marvel series The Falcon & The Winter Solider, and 90 years’ worth of back catalogue blockbuster hits. While 2020 is the year these entertainment titans battle it out, for the rest of us it’ll be a year of pure relaxation and binging.Getting Your Body BiohackedYou may have heard of the biohacking – a tech-based, systems-thinking approach to reaching optimum fitness and health. The term is associated with the kind of eccentric, Silicon Valley bros and entrepreneurial lifestyle gurus who claim they’ll live to the grand old age of 160, like some sort of super-healthy Bond villain. But biohacking isn’t all that bonkers. In fact, it’s going mainstream, with leading biohacker Dave Asprey’s dedicated body-hacking gym in Los Angeles and the opening of BelleCell, London’s first biohacking clinic, which offers sports performance optimisation (using 3D body scanners), “body potential treatments”, genetic testing, and tech-based beauty treatments.
